I got the new iPhone 15 Pro and could no longer use my current charger for in the car. I wanted something that charged my phone while driving but did not take up a lot of space. This fit the need. Charges fast, takes up little space. Love it and bought a second one for my nephew as part of his Christmas. Highly recommend this charger. Money was well spent.
I’m buying another one because it works so well. I love that it’s got two compact C ports so I can charge 2 phones at once.
I love that the cord comes with a lighting adapter for iPhones. I have a Galaxy S20 but my girls have iPhones. I love when they get into my car that Dad has a charger for their phone.
I use the other port to power an audio device because my car is too old for Bluetooth music.
It charges FAST! I would compare it to my Super charger. The Ultimate charger at home charges a bit faster but I’m a 20 minute drive I can go from 5% to 35% while listening to music on my phone.
The bottom line is, I like it’s size, it feels sturdy, and it has two USB C plugs. Note the product details and packaging that says it does NOT do fast/super fast charging for two devices at once. It does the job I need it to do but I also need an adapter to use my existing tech.
It’s nice and small. It sticks out far less than my regular 2-port USB (A) fast charger. While sturdiness isn’t a huge concern, it’s nice that it feels sturdy enough to last. While it means I need to buy more USB C cables or USB A to USB C adapters, I do like that it uses USB C ports.
The USB C cable that comes with it is nice. It’s not crazy long and it comes with a Velcro strap to keep it organized. The fabric braiding is a nice touch, too; it makes the cable look and feel higher quality.
Here are the downsides:
* If someone else is with me and needs to charge their phone, I need another USB C cable in the car. I’ll have to purchase one. Chances are slim that the individual will have a cable with them, and the right kind of cable.
* I use a Bluetooth adapter that gets its power from the car charger. It’s a USB A plug so I need to use an adapter. USB A to USB C adapters don’t just come with a lot of devices.
* Even using the Bluetooth adapter and charging my phone, the charging goes from SUPER FAST, to just “charging.” It at least doesn’t go down to “slow charging” but still, it would be nice if it at least dropped to fast charging to handle both devices.
One last quirk was, I unplugged my phone from the charger and the Bluetooth adapter rebooted. That was strange. I don’t know if it’s how the charger functions, or if it is the Bluetooth adapter at fault.
