I love this I it bought for my daughter to help block out any noises and it certainly does. Can’t hear anything over the rain setting and it’s really soothing love the fact it’s continously Playing too not on a timer which it does have andyou can set if you prefer. Loads of different sounds to choose from too would definitely recommend.
This is amazing. We finally get to sleep through the night now we have the white noise playing in our baby’s room. There’s loads of different settings/sound, volume control and even timers so they cut off after a couple of hours (we keep ours on for 3 hours just in case). But our baby has never slept better for us since we had this. Now we have our evenings back!
This requires a USB power supply, so you are going to need a USB socket or an adaptor. It does not have batteries, so when it is unplugged it will not work
It can lay flat with the speaker pointing up or stand up with the speaker pointing forward. The power cable lays flat in a recessed well underneath.
Push button controls, just keep pushing until you find a volume and sound that drowns out the neighbour’s noise – it is not really a matter of liking the noise, you will be ignoring it soon enough.
The selected timer option is shown by a small led revealing 1, 2 or 3 hour operation or a continuous mode. If you are using this to get to sleep consider the continuous option; although your mind ‘tunes out’ the white noise; if it suddenly stops, the abrupt change can wake you
I really like this white noise machine. I bought it as I really struggle to sleep without the fan on but in the winter it’s far from ideal and my husband has all but banned me from keeping it on unless it’s hot outside! This machine is compact, can fit in the palm of your hand and looks neat on the bedside table. The audio quality is good, and has the ability to turn up and down to preferred volume and a timer to gradually turn off the sound until it’s off. It has 40 different sounds, some of which I can see myself using more than others, like household fan, rain and gentle music (and memory so it turns back on to the same sound). My only criticism is that it should really have quiet buttons as I’m sure most buyers are using it in a sleep setting and the noisy clickity clackity buttons wake my husband up if I’m trying to turn the sound down, or switch to a different noise, so a little bit disappointing but I’m hoping we will get used to it over time.
There are so many choices I’m almost positive there would be one that you and child liked.
The device is nice and compact it can easily fit on shelfs floors etc. although the cable is pretty short around the 1.5m long so you will need a socket near by. The cable is a jack style into the machine so unless you have an adapter or a longer cable then you’ll need to keep it near a plug. Having said that the volume does go almost unnecessarily loud, as in no one would be able to sleep with as loud as it goes, so cable length isnt really a problem. having said that the controls allow for a lot of adjustment so finding the sweet spot is easy.
The buttons and build do feel nice and premium with a child friendly feel too.
overall a great purchase has helped my daughter fall asleep every time, both me and my wife are very happy with this purchase and at such a reasonable price too we are happy with it and would definetley buy it again and would recommend to anyone trying to get their baby to sleep
Large variety of sounds – something for everyone taste, I reckon.
Not sure who would find a dripping trap or a slow ticking grandfather clock soothing, but we’re all different!
It took me a while to find the sweet spot of volume. At first I had the device too loud and it woke me around 4am when my sleep cycle must be at its lightest. The ‘Brown noise’ (deeper than white nose) is the one that I found most helpful.
I would’ve really appreciated a function where I can set a timer for this to activate at a certain time (in my case, 5am, when my neighbours wake me up each day with their inconsiderate slamming of cabinet doors on our adjoining wall. As it doesn’t have this function, I have to have it on all night.
I did consider using a timer plug with this, but that also won’t work as the device needs to be manually switched on using its on-off switch.
A advance timer function would really make this device the perfect machine for me!
So one star off for that, but otherwise, I really love it.
