I was surprised after watching this sequel, it didn’t follow on exactly. I’m surprised that it didn’t make any sense. Everyone seemed disjointed & not quite on the same page.
Very confusing, almost as if they had just met a really disjointed attemp

I’m not sure if this is a trend or not, but I purchased GOTG2 and 3 on Blu Ray at the same time and received GOTG2 in a normal case, but GOTG3 was in a strange, very thin case that I’ve never seen before. The disc is fine and seems to play without any issues, but the case looks very out of place in my collection.

I’ve only watched the first 2 films so far. Have watched previously so already know I love ’em. First disc is fine. The second disc has a fault – picture loss and a funny noise for a second or so. Happened a couple of times.. just hope it doesn’t get worse. Too late to return anyway. Fingers crossed hoping the third disc is ok.

Bought this to complete my GOTG collection and to test my UHD blu ray player. Fantastic movie, superb visual quality and it will encourage me to collect more UHD 4K movies in future. Love it.

This is an entertaining film with a relatively gentle plot centred around family. There are a number of points during the film that it appears that CGI has the centre point rather than the plot and good acting. This can however be forgiven. What cannot be forgiven is the appearance of Sylvester Stallone whose roles as an actor should have been restricted tom planks of wood. Simply put, in my opinion he added nothing at all to the film, he gave his customary wooden performance where most of his dialogue was distorted by drawl and his acting ability was that of a geriatric moron.
I still enjoyed the film but hope that this is the last in the franchise.

Having seen the first two, I wondered what they would do with this one, it doesn’t disappoint on that level. All the characters are in there and they all get their space, Rocket most of all, it deals with Rocket’s origin story and how he manages to work through it. the effects are up to the normal standards we now come to expect, I found it a satisfying view, though I suspect I will miss this crowd of misfits.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI really loved this film . It was firmly based around Rocket and let you see how he came to be like he was . It’s very dark in some places and heart wrenching .
I really think that this film should have been a 15 rather than a 12 as it’s going to be difficult for some parents to explain vivisection to younger children .
Overall the film is excellent . There is still the humour in this film and the characters play off each other really .
Marvel have taken super hero films to another level . They are well written and th plots are excellent . It’s to be hoped we see more of Rocket .

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersA new Marvel movie. Third in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ series. You will need to have seen the first two in order to get into this. And ‘Avengers: Infinity War’/ ‘Avengers: Endgame’. But you doubtless have if you’re reading this.

There was also a christmas special which streamed on Disney plus. That is referenced in a newspaper seen one scene. But beyond that you will survive if you haven’t seen it.

Anyway, The Guardians are still doing things. Starlord is not really dealing with the loss of Gamora and hoping in vain that other Gamora will fall for him.

Then Rocket’s past rears it’s head. And they find why he never talks about it….

A matter of opinion, but I think this is a bit of a step up on the past few Marvel films. What helps is that it is able to do it’s own thing. It’s rather like a Dc comics movie. Which IMHO have been a little better for a bit because they have been able to do such, and have their own style and tell what stories they want.

This tells it’s own story. It doesn’t set up anything for other films. It’s all the better for that.

It does also deal with loss and grief a bit better than Black Panther: Wakanda Forever managed.

There’s plenty of action. The usual characters shouting at each other as plans go wrong. But realising they love each other anyway. All the humour does come out of the characters and their dialogue, so that is how it should be.

It does have one of the best villains a Marvel movie has ever managed, in the shape of the High Evolutionary. A really strong character with believable motivations and he is very well played indeed.

It is though rather dark. In the Rocket stuff. Very dark. Getting into areas of animal abuse and vivisection. I would have made this a fifteen cert not the twelve it is, because these parts are really not going to be good for younger kids. You have been strongly advised parents.

You do get one character, as a result of it following on from one of the end credit scenes in the second film. One comic fans will know. He’s not bad. And there’s nothing ‘woke’ about any of this. Which some may be glad to hear. Just saying.

The set pieces do have some jeopardy to them. Which hasn’t always been the case of late.

It does round off this as a trilogy. Which just about works. It does all come from the characters. It does feel it could have gone on for more in this way, but It had to be. And it works well enough.

Not a bad watch. Not quite as good as the first two, largely because of the darker parts being so dark. But a good character movie. You have to wonder if this studio will manage any more.

There are two extra scenes. Middle end credits and end end credits. Neither are essential, but they’re worth seeing.

As ever there’s no extras on the dvd at all.
