The New Eternia Trap Jaw is a major improvement over the first Revelations version. Design and color scheme is great. Joints are nice and tight. Comes with its iconic accessories. Glad I added to my MOTU collection.

    Meraviglioso

If you’re collecting MOTU figures and the Classics version is out of your price range, this figure is a fantastic alternative. Trapjaw looks like he stepped right of my childhood nightmares!

I will make it short. He man fans will love this version period! Why pay arm and a leg for MOTU Classics line? Get this while they are still available! The price will eventually goes up so DO NOT WAIT. Get 2, one to open one for collecting. It is that simple. Hope this helps!

    Really excellent.
Haven’t collected much in the way of modern MOTU until recently, but this figure is much more comparable to other toy lines than I was expecting from Mattel. Far more detail and articulation than the simpler ‘origin’ line figures, and much more on a par with things like Marvel Legends or McFarlane at their best. Doesn’t feel like there’s any scrimping on paint application, the number of appropriate ops make it feel premium, and the sculpt is beautifully ugly and well engineered with a decent array of accessories and an appreciated gimmick with the swappable jaw. Decent durometer choices. Probably my favourite interpretation of Trap Jaw in toy form I’ve seen (possibly barring the 200+ Mondo release), moreso than the one based on the Netflix show, certainly more than the retro versions, and even more than the excellent ‘Classics’ release. Absolutely reminiscent of the original, but slightly re-imagined with a more modern lens, while losing nothing of what feels like the original intent nor veering too far into something else entirely. Just the right level of updating and the balance of what I’d like from the ‘New Eternia’ sub line is exactly right. No outrageous liberties, but not an almost unecessary reproduction of the original either.
MOTU distribution isn’t ideal in the UK (at all!), so this is slightly overpriced at 30 (rather than the $22 plus tax it would be in the US), and lots of Masterverse figures usually hang around and get reduced in price because of that initial high cost here (the market, in this economy in particular, just isn’t there for the current full prices of most action figures now, they’re pricing out the audience, hence the constant sales and the masses of unsold stock) – But this character and interpretation seems like one of the very few that has been selling out; so I’m glad to have picked it up while I could.

No defrauda.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis Trap Jaw figure from Mattel, is incredible. Having owned Origins, Classics, a long time ago vintage, and hopefully soon Mondo. This has taken the cake as my personal favorite. The colors, the paint, details. All for under $25, is a bargain. What I love about the figure:

    1. Tight joints
    2. Excellent detail and paint apps.
    3. Weapon storage- on belt and the sword has a slot on the back.
    4. Style/look of the character- classic looking Trap Jaw. Very recognizable.

Overall as I mentioned above, it feels like a bargain at $21 and change. Feels far more premium than that. I hope that Mattel continues to give us classic looking characters in figure form like this at retail. Pick one up for yourself, you won’t regret it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our Usersi received the larger, looking upward eyes version, and not the small eyes in the second image. I was hoping for the one i got, lucky me.
    but, buyer beware!

got the deep soul eyes, not the small pupil staring eyes
