It should be noted that this is my first experience of using a chain saw so I cannot compare its use with any other machine.
I was slightly nervous of buying a single handed saw but, it proved to be no problem. Within my price range I wanted a reasonably high battery voltage and good amperage capacity. (21v & 400mAH)
I used the saw to prune a flowering Cherry tree aprox 20ft tall and getting a bit out of hand for a bow saw. The lightness of the saw and its single handed use was important as I do not have a ladder and needed to actually climb the tree!! (At 77 yrs) The branches were between 1.5″ & 3″ diameter, the saw went through them in seconds leaving a nice clean cut.
I am very, very pleased with the saw and my choice. (Please note first line of this comment)
On opening box found 2nd chain missing. Tried to contact company via 24/7 web chat and email but no replies
Have used saw and appears to cut wood well
Hopefully company can send replacement chain soon if they read emails or will require refund
Great news received extra chain and file to sharpen. Great service
I was bought the mini chainsaw as a gift for Christmas. I’ve used it extensively since then. It’s very easy to use, cuts well and the battery lasts quite a while. I’ve had to contact seesii in America for a replacement part, the tensioner, and they were extremely helpful. I’m guessing the part had worked it’s way out and was lost on one of its uses. Seesii were very helpful and sent out not one, but two replacements, plus extra chains at no cost. Very easy to communicate with, products arrived from oversees within 2 working weeks. Very satisfied with product and customer services.
A great little saw, light and easy to use and surprisingly powerful, bought to take 15 feet of hedges away, and did an excellent job, battery life good, and did have to use second chain supplied to do roots of hedges, but expect due to the length of job I was doing.
Easy to strip down and fully clean after each use, to keep saw in good working order.
Would definitely recommend.
Used it to prune a tree, made something around 100 cuts within 3 hours, branches between 1 and 10 inches thick. Was impressed by the quality of the tool and the battery life. The 4000 mAh battery charge indicator reduced from 4 to 2 lights, never needed the second battery.
The manually-pumped oling system seems to work well. I disassembled the saw and checked how the oil comes out when you pump. It’s just not obvious from the visible side of the bar because it gets oiled on the other side between the bar and the chain.
The saw switched off a couple of times and couldn’t be switched back on for a few seconds after having been wedged under a heavy branch. Looks like a safety feature which is nice to have. I guess some other reviewers mistakened it for cut-offs due to battery overheating, claiming that the saw can only be used for a short time before it overheats.
My only concern was the brushed motor. I had bought the brushless SeeSii Black Kit earlier and had to return it because of the unusable design of the safety button. I compared the speed of both saws using a slow motion video and the blue CH600+ was actually around 20% faster than the Black Kit. Not sure about the longevity of the brushed motor but with my rate of use, other parts of it might fail sooner than the motor.
Great little tool. Perfect for cutting up bigger branches to fit into green waste bin. Cut through some 4″ conifer branches with ease, much easier than loppers or a bow saw. Easy to assemble, filled chain oil reservoir charged up the batteries and we’re off and running.so I thought!! Made a few cuts checked chain tension and realised no oil was getting onto the chain?? Depressed oil primer bulb and nothing.
Long story short, took it apart and the oil outlet pipe was completely pinched between the case and the motor housing stopping the oil from being released onto bar. Managed to prize out the pipe and relocate it above the pinch point. Reassembled the unit and good to go. Seems a reasonable bit of kit, two batteries and two chains which can be sharpened as needed with a nice storage case. Time will tell regards reliability but seems decent enough for jobs around the garden.
Last year I made the mistake of buying a little electric saw with was laborious to work with and did nothing for my thumb joints! Hoping to make cutting back thicker branches and stems in the garden this year I ordered this little chain saw. It’s brilliant. Fast, efficient, easy to use PLUS they included almost everything you need – gloves, goggles, a little bottle to top up oil (empty – the only thing they didn’t include was the oil, which is not expected anyway). Spare chain, decent instructions, x 2 rechargeable batteries already charged so i could start using it right away. So yes, from my perspective I would definitely recommend this handy little saw who made the hard work of that particular type of garden, so much easier.
A great little saw, light and easy to use and surprisingly powerful. I have a 4 in Makita which at double the price is not as good and does not come with batteries , a box or extras.
As I’ve got OLDER, I couldn’t trust my muscles with my heavy-ish chainsaw so I gave it away. Then my trusty, super-sharp bowsaw became too much of a faff, especially when the weather was warm. This mini-chainsaw is the answer for me: lightweight, relatively quiet, and easy to use (left-handed users must have a knack for accessing the safety button). I’ve used it a lot since the summer. It comes with a spare battery and replacement chain, and all packed in a neat, rigid case. (Once in use, you may get some oil-leakage when the saw is packed away.) You will need to have chainsaw oil available or bought separately. A good buy!
