I’m still half way on the build. It is really good, this is my second one.
But it came in it’s original packaging, opened. The address was just stuck on the top and not even taped closed. There is a risk of pieces going missing since the box lid easily slips open without effort. So far, all pieces are accounted for.
Also, there are some pieces that doesn’t fit. You have to cut here and there but this makes it nice for me as you get to really figure out ways to make it work.
There are some pieces that in the manual says connects to one thing but the photo or illustration is showing otherwise; like G22 but the photo shows G24. You can easily swap it and figure it out.
Finally, some tips work, some don’t. When you fold paper or stickers, they leave a mark.
All in all a great one!!!!!
I only got this yesterday so only half way through. I’m loving building it but have to say some of the pieces are very fragile, had to repair but luckily not noticeable, this is my 6th kit and I love them all. If you love building and crafting then this is for you, but please note you will need lots of patience and time, I have all the time needed due to going through chemotherapy and I must admit my patience is holding strong.. highly recommended
A very intricate model that comes together slowly until a stunning finish when completed and all connected. Excellent instruction, with some easy-fit pieces. MiniCity should offer more similar builds of interesting building interiors.
I’ve done a few book nooks and this has been the best in contents and instructions.
Things that amazed me the most was including craft tweezers! and the super glue had a pin in it to stop it drying out. (Why isn’t all super glue like that!)
Instructions easy to follow. Just enjoyed it and took my time.
Dust cover makes it a sealed unit so inside can’t get dirt or dust in it.
Finished product looks great on my shelf.
Quite impressed with the quality of this kit and was surprised to find glue, sanding board and tweezers included. Care has to be taken with removing some of the finer parts from the laser cut MDF sheets to avoid breakage. Construction is mainly by tab and slot and some joints can be tight requiring some sanding of the tabs for a good fit without using excessive force which could result in breakage. Some patience is required. The instruction manual is A4 size which initially looked easy to follow but in places I found it confusing due to small and low contrast images.

So I have never seen these previously never mind done one so was a bit nervous as it looks very delicate and intricate. First of all it’s presented well within a nice box and packages neatly. The instructions are good and set out well thankfully. I agree with the earlier review regarding having to be extremely delicate with the parts as they can break easily so you really have to take your time or you’ll have a second job sticking and glueing these back together. I have not had the same issues regarding alignment with the large pieces the other review mentioned but I am only 1/3 of the way through so will update accordingly. So far I have put around 6 hours into this and it has been enjoyable. Something to do in these cold wet evenings and is great for unwinding after a day at work, be warned though you need to shut yourself away and be able to offer this all of your concentration.
I will update once completed but so far I would be happy to recommend this to others. It’s enjoyable to do and at the end of it (hopefully) you will have a really lovely looking and interesting piece that you have made yourself!
May seem expensive but keeps you out of the pub and as mentioned will be able to look back in this after and have a sense of achievement.
