Natures Aid Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc, Maintain Normal

Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body and accounts for around 1.5% of total body weight. The distribution of calcium is mainly in the bones and teeth (99%) with a little found in soft tissues and the blood.

Calcium is important for the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, and contributes to: normal muscle function, normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal neurotransmission, the normal function of digestive enzymes, and has a role in the process of cell division.

Many bone formulas provide Calcium and Vitamin D. Magnesium, however, is often overlooked. To maintain optimal health, bone needs calcium and magnesium to be present, in a 2:1 ratio.

In addition to contributing to the maintenance of normal bones and teeth, Magnesium also contributes to: the reduction of tiredness and fatigue; normal energy-yielding metabolism; the normal functioning of the nervous system; normal muscle function; normal psychological function; and has a role in the process of cell division.

The total amount of zinc in the human adult has been estimated to be approximately 2 grams, of which more than 80% is found in bone, hair and skin and as a component of many biological processes.

Zinc contributes to: the maintenance of normal bones; normal DNA synthesis; normal cognitive function; normal function of the immune system; the protection of cells from oxidative stress; normal fertility and reproduction; normal vision; and the maintenance of normal hair, skin and nails.
