The NM-M1-MP83 kit is compatible with a wide range of Noctua CPU coolers that use 83mm mounting pitch, whereas heatsinks with 78mm mounting pitch must use the MP78 version. Please refer to our detailed compatibility information to check which kit is right for your cooler.
Multi-socket support
The NM-M1 sets are Noctua’s most comprehensive multi-socket mounting-kits today: Supporting AMD AM5 and AM4 as well as Intel LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, LGA1151, LGA1150, LGA1155 and LGA1156, it’s the ultimate kit for a wide range of upgrading or switching scenarios.
Offset mounting option for AMD AM5
The NM-M1 includes Noctua’s offset mounting bars for AM5 that make it possible to install the cooler shifted towards the south side of the socket by 7mm, thereby achieving better contact pressure right above the Core Complex Die(s). This improved contact exactly at the processor’s hotspot can significantly reduce CPU temperatures with typical improvements in the range of 1-3°C.
NM-SD1 magnetic tip screwdriver
The NM-M1 sets include Noctua’s NM-SD1 Torx T20 head screwdriver that is ideal for all the screws of the kit. Thanks to its magnetic tip and the 150mm long shaft, even remote screws in tightly packed environments such as ITX or HTPC builds are easy to handle without dropping.

Had an older Dh14 on a 7800x3d and honestly didnt expect the offsets to make such a difference
Instantly knocked about 10’C off the temps running R23, and im 99% sure it was previously mounted perfectly.
I also fitted a TG mounting frame in prep for lapping the CPU later so having the CPU lay flat may have also helped, in reality it might have knocked 5 to 7 degree’s off but im still over the moon.
If you have a 7000 series AMD chip, the offsets are a must, and the torx heads are infinity better that crappy Philips so I’d also recommend just getter the whole kit here if you dont mind the premium.
