BOUGHT THIS HAND WARMER FOR CROWN GREEN BOWLS IN THE WINTER.
ARRIVED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF ORDERING. DEAD EASY TO USE. I AGREE WITH PREVIOUS COMMENT ABOUT HIGH SETTING, MIDDLE SETTING IS MORE THAN ADEQUATE.
CONCERNING BATTERY LIFE, I WILL TEST THIS IN TWO DAYS TIME WHEN I PLAY BOWLS.
GREAT WARMER SO FAR. THUMBS UP.
I am very happy with this product. Most of the time I only use it on the lowest setting which is sufficiently warm enough on my walks. The lowest setting also means I only have to recharge after several days of use. There is also the added benefit of being able to recharge my phone should it run low on power.
Love this hand warmer, it heats up pretty quickly and does get quite hot even on the lowest setting, it comes very nicely packaged, it charges quickly and battery life has lasted me all day so no complaints.
Haven’t used it as a battery back to charge other devices but very handy feature if you need some extra juice for your phone or the likes.
Would highly recommend!
Use this whilst playing golf on cold days, have had Zippo electric warmer for a few years, but it hasn’t been getting that warm of late. Thought I’d give this one a go. To say it said quick charge it wasn’t that quick but not unduly long. It warms up very quickly I had it on the second setting in my trouser pocket and had to turn it down as it was burning my leg. Turned it off when the temperature rose so don’t know if it will last a full round. But so far so good.
Great hand warmer, I put it on the lowest setting thinking it would last most of the day but it only stayed warm for a few hours very disappointing but having said it gave out a lot of warmth before it ran out of charge, its a nice size to hold in your hand and was easy to charge, I’d recommend it just a shame charge didn’t last as long as it was supposed to
I have one of the classic 5200mAh hand warmers and its served reasonably well, but for golf on cold days wanted one with longer battery life (would last ~2h 15m on highest setting).
The H01 1000mAh is a noticeably bigger and seems to be hotter on highest heat setting. Would be nice if the heat plates wrapped around the side a bit more, but none the less good for heating my fingertips which get really cold. Overall I would recommend. It also is generally well packaged and made, and reasonably good value for money.
The but’s:
– I got about 3.5Hrs on highest heat setting in 8-10 deg C ambient temp, still not enough for full round of golf.
They claim “up to 8 hours on high setting”, but thats @ 25 deg C!! Who would need to warm their hands when its 25 deg C? Besides, it’s common practice to test devices at 20 deg C. Should be even lower for a device like this. So expect half of their figures in real-life use.
– Not thats its a problem in my use case, but takes 10+ hours for full charge even from a high power output USB charge point (doesn’t make any difference because the input charge rate is regulated to quite low value).
– The power/level button should be better protected. I already found several times when putting it in my pocket or golf mitts that the button is easily knocked and changes the power level.
I am an older lady now but have suffered with Raynaud’s since I was 19. Currently been having massive problems as we have been turning down the heating to watch the bills …. My fingers are turning numb and white on and off all day, but have now being turning grey and black with lack of blood supply – not good. I bought this little machine in desperation …. Now I don’t know how I would live without it, and am back to buy a second one so I have cover when one is recharging. It is such a comfort not to have to worry about my fingers. I sit with this in my hands …. Sleep with it in my right hand (because that is my worst one) …. Take it out tucked inside a loose mitten …. And carry it everywhere with me. Three days of use …. Three days of no episodes while this is on. Fifteen hours? I have been getting 13-14 hours between charges. Heat level one is perfect – very, very occasionally it does suddenly get a little warmer for a few seconds but then resets almost immediately to its regular lovely warmth.
After reviewing all the handheld heat warmers, i decided to pay a bit more for them. Boy am I glad I did. These rechargeable hand warmers are fantastic. Easy to use, easy to charge. They work a treat and the heat lasts exactly as it says on the packaging. I now bought some for my Hubby! I highly recommend these, you won’t be disappointed.
The product is very good at producing three degrees of heat for a long time. Although it is quite bulky and heavy. But overall I am satisfied with the hand warmer and will not be returning them.
Bought on the basis of a recommendation from friend at the golf club but not yet used it as not been cold enough. Seems to charge up quickly and controls easy to use
I have bought 12 of these remarkable beauties over time from Amazon. Who knew they were so good? Who remembers foil wrapped baked spuds in your duffle coat pockets?
These are of course power banks in their own right, handy if your smartphone is giving out.
I’ve been charging PD Power Banks then charging Ocoopa Hand Warmers two at a time. Fast charge! The dedicated 18w charger is good but I have a 65w PD mains charger which also speedily charges them.
OK. I have to own up. I bought a cheap rubber hot water bottle in a, velcro flapped, fleecy cover. I would third fill it with water then tuck 3 Ocoopa hand warmers in, outer two one way up and the middle one upside down as they’re larger at one end. On hottest setting they heat the water and you have a never ending, if expensive, hot water bottle that stays hot from 9pm thru the night until lunchtime the next day! Camping, fuel shortages, crazy fuel prices……bring it on. Its negligible to mains charge them.
Purchased this for my daughter (Aged 10) who suffers with the cold and with having the classrooms open at school because of Covid has started to suffer with her fingers.
She has looked after it well and she uses it every day in class.
I am amazed at how hot it gets Full Blast is to hot!
When the weather was colder i was using it to walk to school when she was all wrapped up in her gloves e.t.c
It really is amazing !
I’ve tried all sorts of products and devices to try and keep my digits warm, including rechargeable hand warmers, but nothing worked well enough for long enough. I do a lot of fishing for 12-14hrs a day and I’d kind of got used to the discomfort of Raynaud’s. Met another angler on a 12hr trip who had these and they were as warm at the end of the day as they were at the start so I bought a pair. I’ve used them twice now and only ever needed them on the lowest setting and they are soooooooo nice! I don’t use them in the cloth bags as they would get too filthy. They don’t charge quickly but they keep an even temperature for a long time. I’ve not used them as a power bank so can’t comment on that function. I can thoroughly recommend them.
Bought this for keeping hands warm playing golf , out for walks and outdoor photography. Comfortable to hold if you have large hands and just about fits in the pocket. Its a compromise between size and battery life. Don’t believe the specification about long battery life. This is quoted for 25 degrees centigrade when you obviously wouldn’t need to use it. In cold conditions, a couple of degrees above freezing, it lasts about four hours on a full charge if you have it on the lowest setting. Just about long enough to use on a round of golf. The lowest setting is quite comfortable for keeping hands warm and I use it when its cold. Higher settings seem ok but not used much – will obviously reduce battery life to a couple of hours I would guess. Does the job – just don’t believe the battery lifetime. Its not the fault of this product – they will all have a similar life for the same battery size.
The hand warmers are fantastic – I have used them for dog walking, country walks and playing golf. The middle heat level lasts for 12 hours and they can be put in a pocket or inside mitts. I bought two of them and they are a great buy. They really do stay warm for a very long time.
The packaging is premium; just like an Apple product. The instructions are clear, except they don’t say that the blue lights go out when it is fully charged. They come with a drawstring bag which is good.
I haven’t tried them as a power bank for the phone but that’s another bonus.
Looked long and hard at alternatives but glad I chose this one. Great design, toasty warm, on the highest setting keep in the bag supplied, but for me with raynauds white finger lowest setting is enough heat.. Heats up in seconds so you don’t need it on all the time, saves power. Having the ability to charge phones etc from it will be great for camping as well. I made the right choice and can recommend this hand warmer, charger.
I bought my first one of these around 12 months ago – last winter. I wanted something to tuck in my pocket to warm my hands up with whilst out for a walk on the windy coast.
My other half nicked it for golf! Then came the stories about how sad the other hand got in the cold and what a faff it was to change hands all the time… Really?
So, an easy Christmas stocking present for this year. The other one is still going strong and the other half is now happy with two warm hands whilst out for golf..
I did a fair bit of research last year and settled on this one. Its Type-C, USB and mini USB. You couldn’t ask for more options. They take some charging, several hours from empty, as they hold a lot of output; easily lasting two 18 hole rounds of golf on the mid setting. Full heat is a bit much unless you want it really hot.
If necessary, you can use as a back up to charge your phone. Really happy with both of the ones I’ve bought even if I don’t get to use them much. Will probably buy another.
Brought 2 of these for myself and my wife. They are just the right size to hold and do really warm your hands. The power bank function works well and charges our phones fully with power to spare. I must mention the customer service of this company, it’s exceptional and I am sure that they can sort out ANY queries you may have.
Needed a new hand warmer as I have been using a lighter fuelled one for years and its had it now. I was sceptical about rechargeables but have been impressed with this one and now wouldn’t go back to fuel as the heat from this is controllable.
Well packaged product and looks and feels like a quality build. Charging was straightforward and everything works as expected. Bonus is the instructions are in English and are clear and concise. Used while out in the countryside and I needed a high setting to cope with the chill breeze but this unit worked well and held its charge very well. It got knocked about a bit on my hike but still performed well. This is a good bit of kit.
These are fantastic handwarmers. They feel great to hold and get wonderfully warm. The three different heat settings allow you to decide how much heat you need and they keep on producing for hours. I work outside in a car park and these handwarmers really help to make the whole experience a lot more pleasant in the winter. I’ve got two of them now; one for each pocket. I couldn’t recommend them strongly enough; the power bank function is a great bonus and I have received excellent Customer Service from this company in the past.
I charged up the unit for a few hours and it didn’t take that long to fully charge at all. At the first setting it’s warm, 2nd its really toasty warm and on the 3rd and highest setting it gets really hot. It does become a bit unbearable to hold but at least one knows just how hot it can get. It’s a neat compact unit that fits into the palm of ones hand. I placed it in my jacket pocket this morning on setting 2 and it kept my fingers lovely and warm. It was about 15 degrees out so not cold but my fingers go white if it’s slightly cold or cloudy. I don’t know how it’ll perform in single digits but lm very hopeful as it will keep my pockets toasty warm and thats exactly what l need as a sufferer of Raynaunds
I really like this handwarmer, the packaging is neat, comes with a strap to put over you wrist and a nice grey velvet feel grey bag, perfect to place the warmer in and protect it.
I have used the device on the lowest setting and it heat has lasted longer well over 14+ hours. Will Definitely last for the whole day on a full charge and it gives a nice warm feeling. I would highly recommend one especially during the winter months, when it can get really cold.
Love the colour combo, I got the black and blue, plenty of others to choose from though.
Very happy with this device , keeps me warm, last longer long, can use it as a battery bank, would highly recommend.
I am very impressed by the amount of heat this warmer produces. Almost too hot to hold at times even on the lowest setting. Only trialled so far, but I’m confident it will be very effective in keeping my hand from seizing up when the weather does get cold.
Claims for battery life are exaggerated. However, I found that it lasted nine and a half hours on lowest setting, which is very satisfactory.
Customer service was superb. There was a fault with my first warmer, and this was replaced willingly and without me even asking, once my queries revealed there was a problem.
Recommended!
Got two of these for my husband’s cold hands as I wasn’t sure how long they would take to charge and I wanted him to always have one he could use. Turns out they charge pretty quickly and he only really needs one, so I have gained the second one! They have proved to be a godsend on chilly winter walks. Carried in the pocket, they heat up quickly and the heat is long lasting. In fact on the top setting, it is almost too hot to hold with bare hands, but perfect through gloves. It is easy to hold and not too heavy to carry. I wouldn’t be without one now, especially when out walking in winter. Highly recommended.
This is the second hand warmer I’ve bought and I only wish I’d bought this one years ago. Sadly because of snow I’ve not actually used it on the golf course yet but I’ve been out in the garden with it and then left it in the outhouse to see how long it lasts.
It will definitely last for the longest round of golf and at the top temperature. But I doubt if I’ll use the top temperature much because it’s so hot that it would need to be below freezing to need it.
I was disappointed with my last purchase of the disposable hand warmers as they didn’t reach a high enough temperature to effectively warm my hands at really low temperatures – wish I had gone for the Ocoopa in the first place.
Charge time is pretty reasonable- whole unit is nicely packaged and presented- one of my best buys ever.
Sadly this is the review I wrote within a week of buying the product at the end of December 2020. The fact is that now I’ve started using it again with the colder weather a month ago the hand warmer won’t even last a full round of golf at the lowest level, and on occasions has taken over 24 hrs to charge.
The product particulars refer to it being good for 800 charges but I doubt if I’ve had it out more than two dozen times.
