Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUnlike what other reviewers are mentioning, I found it easy to assemble the wheels to the radiator. Furthermore, there was indeed a “ticking” noise first few uses but that no longer happens after turning it upside down a few times to let the liquid inside swirl around.

For the price I can’t complain. It is not an instant heat producer but a gradual sustained increase over time. My shoebox type of flat takes longer to warm up and it is deceptive how much warmer the flat is after stepping outside and coming back inside. It would be ideal for a smaller room.

Again, if you are after an instant heat unit, this is not it and you would be better off paying more for something else.

I do see this as an alternative to gas central if you are able to have solar panels. If you then have off peak [night time] electricity and enough of these then you have the capabilities of economically heating your home.

So far this fire is fantastic. My house is electric heating only and the storage heaters in my opinion are useless so don’t even have the power supply to them. I’ve been using blow air heating for years but this energy crisis 2nd year running is becoming ridiculous costs for this heating option
this definitely is helping to keep my open plan lounge warmer and even the upstairs is a bit warmer as I have a open staircase.
Brilliant buy. It’s -2 today and it’s lovely and warm on the higher setting Don’t hesitate to purchase this heater it’s small but mighty

Good heater with a few issues:
      1. There’s no handle to carry the thing save for a fragile looking lip on the control panel. Maybe a handle where the do not cover sticker is?
      2. The heater has some form of borborygmi – rumbly and swishy. That’s picky I guess.
      3. The heat level selector is nicely ‘stealth’ but even in good lighting it’s got no real indication of where the rotary switch is.
      4. A longer power lead would be nice
      5. The timer really could use some design rethinking – maybe digital is the way to go?

      Good stuff:
Warm, quick to heat a room, unobtrusive.

      So what?
Mix design features of Amazon basics heater with this and you’ll have a great heater. As it is, I’d recommend as good vfm. Would that the manufacturers read this and maybe take some points into account.
An update 12/28/23 – the two power level buttons stick and it’s pot luck when and if they unstick. The heater is relatively new and in fairness to the manufacturer this could be a one off not found on any other heater sold here. Don’t let one issue on one heater put you off, please.
To record that the customer service is excellent – fault noted 12/28 & new heater delivered 12/29 (that’s over the time between Christmas and new year). Brilliant. It might be said that anyone can sell you stuff but it’s what happens when things go wrong that shows how good the seller is: here they were excellent.
That’s me done with this tale – thankfully it seems to have a happy ending.

Purchased this little Vonhaus heater in 2018. It is well-built and is still doing the job very well. It’s easy to use and warms up my bedroom quickly during colder winter days.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vonhaus heater does the job

Heats up quickly, my smart meter says 43pence and hour on 1000w max heat but you don’t need it on maximum heat for long. You can also set it on a higher wattage but really isn’t needed for my room.

This looks good in the box but not yet set up. Delivery by Hermes was a lot less good as I was advised all day, right up to the last minute that it would arrive by 8pm. By 8.10pm it had still not arrived but finally I got a message it should arrive in the next 4 days. It did turn up the following morning at about 10am. Looking forward to using it in my upstairs bedroom where there is no central heating and an earlier version does well at the moment.

Great! Here’s a sample review you could use:

“I recently purchased the VonHaus Oil Filled Radiator 11 Fin and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. This electric radiator is incredibly efficient and has kept my home warm and cozy even during the coldest of winter nights. Its 11 fins ensure that heat is distributed evenly throughout the room, providing a consistent and comfortable temperature.

One of the best things about this radiator is that it is very easy to use. The control panel is user-friendly and allows you to adjust the temperature and set a timer. It also has a safety feature that automatically shuts off the radiator if it overheats or tips over, which gives me peace of mind when using it around children and pets.

Overall, I would highly recommend the VonHaus Oil Filled Radiator 11 Fin to anyone looking for an efficient and reliable heating solution. It is definitely worth the investment and I am giving it 5 stars!”

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI got this for my room which is 24 meter square but the walls are about 3 meters high and it has big windows and insulation is not great because its an old building, it also has a kitchen which comes off it, so a big space to heat which only had one small electric wall heater. The heater looks really good but isn’t sufficient to heat such a big room and they spec doesn’t claim to. However I do like it and plan on buying another and not using the wall heater. I plug it into a smart plug so I can control it remotely which is easier than the old style timer on it and cheaper than buying a heater with WIFI function on it. The plug is only 10 and I can turn it on in bed or when I leave work so its warm when I get home.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe setting knob is not easy to use as the numbers are written too small. This is the most important thing to programme the use. Setting it to the minimum and only in the evening costs 30p per hour.

This was bought this as the heating was a problem downstairs and a plumber could not get out due to Christmas. I’m so glad I I did as it heated the whole room up no problem, even on just a single setting. Not sure how expensive it is to run but it certainly works. I also bought my aging mother one as they are so good. Not used the timer yet. Very easy controls and quick to get started out of the box, just a couple of brackets with casters for mobility. Only downside it could do with a handle at both sides to move if desired as it is very hot if on the top setting. There is only one handle to grip on the control side. Otherwise great product.

Really great radiator which I wished I had discovered years ago. It’s powerful but not so big that portability is compromised. The only issue is that the switches are like toggle buttons which can be a little awkward to press and you could potentially leave this unit on when you thought you had switched it right off. But once you become aware of this, you adapt and exercise more care with the buttons. A small amount of assembly is required (you have to attach the castors) but this is not too difficult. It may seem during assembly that it is not going to be stable enough, but it turns out perfectly, even when stood on carpet. Despite these things, it still a top-notch product.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersMy mum insisted on buying me an oil filled radiator as a Christmas present saying that it would be much cheaper than the convection heaters I currently use, I was skeptical, at best I thought it might be maybe 10% cheaper to run but that wouldn’t justify paying 50 for a brand new heater when I already have a perfectly good convection, however as she was paying I bought one and ran some tests on it.

Using a plug in electricity monitor (this is one where you plug the monitor into a wall socket and the device you want to monitor plugs directly into that) I picked a couple of days where the outside temperature was the same.

This is a 3 bedroom house that has no form of heating apart from a single heater in the living room, door kept shut as much as possible, test was run first two days in February 2019.

First day I ran my thermostatically controlled 2K convection heater on the full 2K setting from 08:00 – 20:00 set to keep the room at around 15 degrees C, It used 12.20KW which at my electricity unit price worked out at 2.19

Second day I ran the thermostatically controlled Futura 2.5K radiator on the full 2.5K setting from 08:00 – 20:00 set to keep the room at around 15 degrees C, it used 6.279KW which at my electricity unit price worked out at 1.13

So I was very surprised to see that the oil radiator cost almost 50% less to run than a comparable convection heater does.

I’ve been using it every day since and because it has a timer and I have an Economy 7 meter I have it set to come on at around 06:00 and go off again at 08:00 and that is enough to warm the room nicely in the mornings and literally only cost a few pennies a day -very happy with this purchase.
