A bit clunky to use but it does work well. Having a scope, meter and sig gen all in one unit is very handy for work out and about.
Battery life is good, good selection of probes included, seems to be accurate against my bench meter and scope.
I think my only complaint is that the unit can only be used in one mode at a time, i.e. The signal generator can’t be used ad the same time as the oscilloscope.
Still a good unit for the price though.
I bought this product in Jan 2022 and I placed on a shelf and did not use it until a few days ago.
The display was showing a foggy ring around the perimeter so I contacted OWON SMARTTEK LTD the supplier and they said they could supply a replacement display. This was sourced from OWON in China and arrived within 4 days. I quickly fitted the display and the oscilloscope is now working perfectly.
I cannot thank OWON SMARTTEK LTD and the staff enough for their help in solving my problem.
The portable Owon hd272s is a great buy and I recommend it thoroughly. You will have no problems with OWON SMARTTEK LTD as a supplier.
I found this quite intuitive to use. The com intaion of an oscilloscope with a sensible bandwidth, a multimeter and a function generator makes for a very useful item of portable test equipment.
I use this oscilloscope for automotive repairs on my own cars. Not at professional level but as a hobby. I have put it through its paces over this last week using various signal input generators and have found it very capable. It is by no means a Picoscope but its no where near the cost either.
I find its main purpose is for establishing if there is a signal or not. If you want to analyse the signal in greater detail then you need something with a bigger screen. This will usually mean a pc based system.
The method of changing the scale is not very intuitive and takes some getting used too.
For a portable scope to be used in the field at this price range it is perfec.
Fantastic little multimeter, oscilloscope and signal generator. Comes with a good set of accessories and an excellent firm case that has a padded flap to protect the display from being scratched by the accessories. Great it is powered by two standard lithium 18650 batteries that are cheap and easy to obtain. It also has a high impact rubberised casing for protection. If I had seen something like this 45 years ago when I started electronics repairs, I would have thought the Aliens had landed! Highly recommended.
