Sharp and balanced
Can’t comment on longevity yet as I’ve only had it a month. The last decent knife I had was 20 years old and there’s only so much sharpening it can take. Using this has been a dream in comparison, certainly for the price.
The best knife I have used
Being just an average cook who cooks from fresh most nights I really wanted a knife that made prep easy, this one does just that, it is easy to hold, slices through veg really easily and the bonus for me is it so sharp I no longer dread doing onions, no more tears or stinging eyes.
Well worth the purchase and definitely thinking about buying more of the range available.
Sharp knife
It does seem sharper than my other knives. Would have preferred a little more red tint in the wood handle as it looks a little more reddish in the picture but it doesn’t bother me enough to mark it down.
Excellent quality and very sharp
I brought this knife as I wanted to know what the quality was really like.
Going on my findings I will purchase the knife block at sometime. Love this knife. How sharp it is, how it sits in the hand and it looks great.
Could I please get dis discount.
Good and sturdy knife
It’s very good to cut hard vegetables like carrots. The handle is comfortable and ergonomic. The knife blade is weighty, pointy and precise. The sheath is a nice addition to have.
Lovely balanced and sharp knife. Grips well and well built. Overall a fantastic knife.
Don’t be fooled by the laser printed markings though. This is definately not Damascus steel. I knew this purchasing it but it is very misleading to someone who doesn’t know what they’re buying.
I’m not a chef. Not even close to being a chef. There’s an awful lot of microwaving in my life and what isn’t microwaved is either baked or stir-fried. As a result of this I chop a lot of vegetables and have been using the same knife since my student days in the last millennium. So I thought it was time to upgrade to something decent. And boy, is this knife decent.
Looks – It has that wavy Damascus pattern etched onto the blade. And a shapely wooden handle with a nice grain. What can I say? It’s a kitchen knife. I’m not sure why looks are important on a functional item, but the aesthetic is pleasing.
Feel – The weight is good and the handle feels comfortable in my hand.
Cutting – The important bit. I mean, if a knife can’t cut then what use is it? Well, this thing cuts. It’s as sharp as a razor. It effortlessly slices through fruit, vegetables, fish, poultry, meat, envelopes, cardboard boxes I may have gotten a little carried away testing how smoothly it cuts.
In conclusion, this was truly an excellent purchase. Do I feel like a chef now? No. No, of course not. It’s an exceptional kitchen knife, but it’s not magical. But I did cut the head off that carrot when I rolled a natural 20, so maybe it is a little vorpal. (And there’s a reference nobody will ever get )
