As a step parent, I always try to find some fun and educational activities to do with my two step-daughters. They love colouring in and love flashy colours too, so I thought we could try modelling clay for a change. They absolutely loved it, perfect colours for little ladies (aged 6 and 8), we go through themes: animals, jewelry, food items… possibilities are endless.
Here’s my take on it:
The color variety in this set is interesting because it’s different from the traditional Play Doh colours. They can even get mixed together to create new colours if you wish (the girls certainly do!). Vibrant neon hues that catch the eye, it adds a modern twist to traditional clay projects and encourages imaginative play. Additionally, the pleasant Play Doh scent is always a plus (still the same since I was their age!!).
From a practical standpoint, the clay’s consistency is ideal for young hands to manipulate without becoming too sticky or crumbly. Some of it got into their hair but it was super easy to remove without creating any tantrum, and some got on their clothing but it came out in the washing machine, no damage to report.
The clay retains its shape well during sculpting, you can add small details/elements without too much trouble and they stick.
Overall, this neon modeling clay offers a balanced mix of visual appeal, ease of use, and sensory engagement – perfect if you are looking for a gift or to create an activity that is going to stimulate yoru child, keep them busy for a while, not create any drama (hopefully) and which you can do with them too. I found it to be a bonding experience.
It’s a great option for children who enjoy tactile activities and offers endless possibilities for creative expression, and the pricing is fair.
Strong, bright colours.
Good for teaching the colour theory, although it takes couple of minutes to fully blend. Overall my little one enjoyed playing with these and spent few hours on colours mixing experiments.
This is the second order of this recently and never fails to give hours of pleasure. Is so easy to replace when the colours are all mixed up and feeling you’ve had good value.
Upon receiving this item I was surprised at how small the pots were and wastage in the cardboard packaging then I tried to be objective and thought what did I expect for the price. Was it worth it yes it was ok, quite stiff and hard to get out the pots leaving bits that you can’t get out but overall for the price it did the job answer thought the colours were lovely
Not sure what to put. It’s Play Doh so you know what you’re getting. We’ve had to through away one pot because our 4 year old hid it behind the sofa with the lid off but that was our fault lol
