Love the purple, love the squishy. Did not love having to apply the sticky stickers first then apply the buttons on to them. One got messed up and so I had to take the other one off too. Still glad I got them tho
The double sided stickers supplied were incredibly cheap, thin, and delicate which made it an absolutely horrendous process trying to get each one from the substrate sheet to your fingertip to the device button accurately and cleanly. They also only supply two sheets which means if you mess one up (you will) you have one shot left.
The end product left me feeling a bit anxious as to how long each button extender will actually stay stuck to the buttons. I can tell right now, however, if I were to even press against the button at a sideways or bad angle, the extenders will likely pop right off. Time will tell
The height is interesting because while it feels good to have extended buttons, the distance from the tip of the rubber extender pad to the point at which the button meets the circuit board is increased, thus the natural “wobbly-ness” of the Deck’s trigger and bumper buttons is HIGHLY accentuated making it feel sort of cheap and unstable if not pressed directly downward on its natural path.
Most of this is just my first impression and I know it will take a bit of getting used to. Play Vital is a good company though so I’m happy to test their products. I’d give this a 3.5/5 but rounded up to a 4 because it seems to work for now.
