10/10. Does as described, dries relatively fast, good quality, might require a bit of sanding but that’s to be expected. Appearance is okay, obviously will need to be painted over if you are filling in holes on a painted/ decorative wall.
As someone who’s put an embarrassing number of holes in walls, I’ve used so many different wall fillers but honestly, this one is the best I’ve ever used, it’s amazing, so easy to use and it’s really smooth, meaning it gives you an almost perfect finish, very little sanding needed
I had some small dings/holes in plaster to fill and this did the job without any bother, no mixing and easy to use, dried quickly without shrinkage. Definitely recommend.
I bought this to replace my ten year old tube that had finally run out. Yes you can keep this brand that long if you look after it and ensure close properly.
It’s the best filler and no mixing to do.
I do not think there is a better brand out there this is the original and the best and for something that can last and last it’s not worth mucking about with cheaper brands.
Wish it was easier to squeeze from the tube. A real struggle if you aren’t too strong. The nozzle itself needs to be punctured before you can even start trying to squeeze it out which in itself was a bit of a task as had nothing narrow or sharp enough to do it. I thought it would have a foil to peel back but it was like a deep thick plastic plug that needed puncturing beforehand. I was hoping it was ready to use being a tube version.
I’ve used the Polyfilla Ready Mixed on multiple occasions, and it’s proven to be a reliable product for its intended purpose. However, there are some limitations to consider.
The 330g quantity may seem like a reasonable amount, but it’s important to note that this product is best suited for smaller tasks. If you have a large hole or crack to fill, you could quickly find that you need a lot more Polyfilla than this container provides.
That being said, for smaller jobs, it works like a charm. The ready-mixed formula is convenient, saving time and effort in preparation. It adheres well and dries relatively quickly, making it a practical choice for minor repairs.
In conclusion, the Polycell Multi-Purpose Polyfilla Ready Mixed is a reliable product for small jobs, and I would recommend it for its convenience and effectiveness. However, be mindful of the quantity, especially if you have larger repair projects. I would definitely consider buying it again for minor repairs.
This is perfect amount for small repairs. Application is very straight forward, no experience required. Few things to remember:
– clean the whole area where you want to apply polyfilla- wet wipes, vacuum, let it dry
– when dealing with bigger cracks, holes – you have to apply two layers. First one fill the crackhole. You leave it to dry (best 24 hours or more). You then have to sand down first layer and apply second finishing one. Leave it to dry and sand down again.
– if you decide to paint over, you have to make sure area is sanded down perfectly as paint will bring out any imperfections, and I mean it.
I guess it wouldn’t be my first choice to get in a tub, i like the option of using the Gun tube or tub.
however this is ideal for day to day use and is clean and convenient.
its great for filling holes esp. for large screws or bolts etc. not so much for cracks and it can get messy. but foe the price when on offer you cannot resis
