I thoroughly enjoyed the film. I’m an Elvis fan and have seen the Elvis movie at the cinema, but didn’t get the chance to see the Precilla movie. Nice to be able to see it on the tv.
I watched this in the cinema when it was released. It’s based on her autobiography so it’s all the approved version of her story that she put out there herself. It’s a engaging drama that follows Priscilla’s relationship with Elvis from the day he met her to the day she left him. Yes it misses out a lot of events that would have been interesting to get her perspective on such as his death, the colonel and his relationship with his daughter but I guess that might have been on purpose to get you to buy her book
I’d warn anyone that isn’t all that familiar with the history of Elvis Pressly to watch the 2022 film Elvis first as this film doesn’t fill in the blanks between events. Some scenes only hint at things that happened in his life, so if you’re unfamiliar with his history you’d be lost as to what’s going on. Also some of it can be a bit painful to watch since their relationship wasn’t exactly healthy. Still it’s a must see for any Elvis/Priscilla fans out there.
