These are the best wipes that are not too chemical at an affordable price. They are humid but not too much, they are the right size, the packaging is ok (not too much). I keep on re buying these now.
I was quite shocked when I discovered that most baby wipes contain plastic, and I just don’t want to be putting plastic into landfill or flushing it into the sea, so I looked for 100% degradable, flushable alternative. These wipes work well, although they are not as strong as plastic wipes, and occasionally they tear. They have a slightly vegetably smell that I found odd at first, but I don’t notice any more. You can only flush one at a time – it does say this on the packet, but in such tiny letters (6pt?!) that I didn’t notice until we blocked the toilet. Oops. I will bag them from now on.
These are compostable wipes but NOT flushable. So please do not flush them down the toilet!
Having said that I am still very pleased with them, at least they are biodegradable so chucking them in the bin is no problem, they are 99% water and kinder to babies bottoms and even good for you to use.
In a world full of plastic these wipes provide a great alternative 99% plant fibres, water and aloe providing a sustainable affordable alternative that’s soft on sensitive skin. After trying many other eco brands none hit the mark like these.
For my son these don’t fall apart when using and contain a lot of moisture perfect for messy hands, bums and tums alike. In addition to this, they have a very delicate formula which has prevented my son coming out in rashes an issue we’ve had with most wipes purchased eco or not. Finally, each wipe itself is large providing a lot of coverage meaning they go further another great bonus.
I’ve also used these on my delicate sensitive skin which has areas of eczema and as the description states these are perfect no reaction or flare up (obviously everyone’s skins different so be careful)
I purchased the flushable type and have tested them in water they do dissolve as stated and shouldn’t see an issue with occasional flushing for my son who is toilet training. However, I probably wouldn’t recommend continuous flushing.
The only negative I have found is the packaging of the wipes themselves. They are hard to remove one at a time and become fiddly and time consuming. However, if you run your finger along and find the groove of the next one with time you get used to picking that and pulling from there removing one wipe.
We were using reusable wet wipes (to be better on the environment) but these were proving a little too rough on our little ones bum.
We found that when pulling some wet wipes out of the pack you would get a handful rather than one but these don’t do that!
They feel really high quality and are great on our little ones delicate bits.
The only tiny negative (it really isn’t an issue but I’m nit picking) is they do have an odd smell, it must be because they are plant based but the smell doesn’t transfer to baby and they are great for the environment.
Definitely competitive against the premium brand, will buy again and would highly recommend.
Love the wipes – they’re soft, compostable and work well for nappy changes on the go. I’m not a huge fan of the aloe smell but it’s not overwhelming and more of a personal issue.
My only real issue is, as others have said, that the packaging is terrible. The sticky plastic cover seems to fall off easily, meaning the wipes can dry out, and it’s really difficult to get just one wipe out at a time (I quite often pull out a clump of 5). If you’re using this at home I’d suggest getting a dispenser with a weighted bit that sits on top – we have one and it means you can get a single wipe at a time.
We love these wipes and I felt as though they were the missing piece of the baby care jigsaw when I saw them.
These wipes are actually genuinely flushable and biodegradable and are certified flushable by a UK water body – these are the first wipes I’ve seen approved by a UK water/sewage company like this. They will not block up your pipes or drains or anyone else’s for that matter so can go down the toilet guilt free!
Being able to flush them is a game changer as they’re so much easier to use and dispose of when out and about and nappy bins are in short supply. They can also be used as wet toilet tissue and it’s just generally nice being able to flush away pooey wipes rather than have to put them in your bin and stink the place out, even with the use of a nappy bag.
The wipes have no scent and are pretty wet, probably almost comparable to water wipes rather than drier wipes like standard huggies or pampers wipes. They’re fairly strong for biodegradable wipes and don’t disintegrate as easily as some of the biodegradable wipes we’ve tried but they do sometimes tear when you’re getting them out of the packet.
This leads me to the one major flaw of these wipes – it is so so difficult to get just one wipe at a time out of the packet because of their tearable nature and how wet they are. Sometimes I find myself only being able to get out 5 or 6 wipes at a time because they clump up when you’re trying to get them out so you end up wasting a couple of wipes as it’s also hard to put them back into the packet for later use. These wipes are wonderful but I knocked a star off for how difficult they are to get out of the packet as when you’re grappling with a pooey wriggly toddler or a baby that has suffered a disastrous poonami, the last thing you need are wipes which don’t come out of the packet easily adding to your stress levels, especially if you’re out and about in a cramped changing room!
Having said that about getting the wipes out, we do manage with them and we still buy them on subscribe and save and use loads of these wipes (we have a 5 month old and 2 year old in nappies and a 4 year old wanting to be independent and clean themselves all the time after using the toilet!) as I think the eco properties are just outstanding and beat all other disposable wipes by miles. If you could more easily get just one wipe at a time out of the packet, I would give these a million stars if I could but I’m not sure how easy this would be – maybe they could change the packaging design?
I quite like these wipes, we had been using the water wipes and decided to give these a try based on a recommendation from a friend. They’re good, not too wet- which was one of things I disliked about water wipes (my partner thinks they are too dry though) I love the fact that they are ‘natural’ wipes with no plastic but had to give them 4 stars as they had a weird smell after a while, a bit like frankfurters (strange I know!) and made the whole baby bag smell like that. I don’t think I’ll buy them again and will be switching back to water wipes
