    For anyone who wants to have a basic non smart good sized (42″) TV like myself then I wholeheartedly recommend this TV.
    The picture quality and sound are both decent. For someone like who has no need for a “Smart” TV it more than met my expectations

    Have had this TV now for couple of months and no issues with it at all. Maybe not the sharpness of some of the higher end models but works with my old sound bar no problem, connected to all apps etc so all’s good. Highly recommend.

    Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHard to believe TVs have got this good for such a cheap price. 120 for a TV that looks great, weighs next to nothing and has all the smart features is amazing to me. Bought for teen daughters bedroom. She loves it, instant access to Netflix and Prime from dedicated buttons on the remote. Super easy to set up. I’m used to smart TVs having very sluggish menus but that’s simply not the case with this. Snappy and satisfying to use. The speakers are good too!
    Highly recommended.

    Bought this for my caravan, easy to set up, WiFi easy to connect. Picture is fine aswell as the sound. Plays films off my HD, what more do you want.

    The stands for the tv are wobbly, the holes arent in the right place but its only for my bedroom, so as a small bedroom tv it is perfect. I wouldn’t use it around small children as it is really light weight, and easily broken.

    Good TV – Roku OS is fast and does not lag like some of the cheaper fire TV’s. Its a budget TV but definitely one of the better ones. The picture is good, although with black images you can see a bit of white shining through. But again, a good budget TV

    Great tv for the price! It has really useful features like airplay, which I don’t get even on my more expensive LG tv downstairs.

    The OS is fast and responsive, set up was very easy. The viewing angle can be a little narrow, however for us this hasn’t been an issue. I’ve only really noticed it when I enter/leave the room and therefore see the tv from a different angle.

    The sound is good and not tinny as tends to be the compromise with some good TVs. The EPG and the display of information is very well organised, with programmes over 7 days and their details shown simultaneously. It is actually excellent how this is done. Best of all, it has a scart port. To access Freeview, I found the One For All (3 miles) non-amplified TV aerial to be adequate, when positioned a little high to the side of the TV (with an extension cable) and not necessarily close to a window. This does depend on location and whether there is anything obstructing the signal through the wall.

    Tv is very good, infact as good and very similar as a Samsung I also have.
    Unfortunately arrived without any self tappers to fit feet. Not a big issue as I had suitable self tappers to attach feet.
    I’m sure this was a one off so removed one star.
    Excellent TV regardless.
    Comes with two styles of remote which is handy for those still used to the multifunction old style and a new voice activation lesser buttoned remote which is right up the tecno geek road.

    Disappointed it doesn’t have Bluetooth my own fault should have looked at the specs just assumed all modern TVs had Bluetooth. Decent budget TV there’s a problem with subtitles randomly pop up after pausing

    Great little T.V Bought for a bedroom. Fits in a small space, sound is good. It’s hard to fault it for such a small amount of money. Great value.

    The picture on this TV is really impressive but the sound is quite tinny. You definitely get what you pay for. My son is really happy with the TV; I think we may get some external speakers to improve the sound quality but for this price, the TV was a real bargain.

    Golden Review Award: 49 From Our UsersOrdered to upgrade my dad’s old 32″ Sony. At the price point it was worth a try, even though some reviews were negative.

    I was suitably impressed with this TV enough for me to order one to replace the one I have, as this comes with a DVB T2 tuner (mine is a DVB T) which means that it has Freeview HD channels.

    Fingers crossed mine will be just as good.

    Update: mine was delivered super fast and even on Bank Holiday Monday.

    I have managed to watch some football on the HD ITV channel, and the 60hz kept up with it well. Great HD picture and sound is decent.

    I have also connected an old Wii using the provided cables in the box. It works.

    There is a scart connect, which I have attached my old VCR to. It works.

    I have used the usb to power my Now TV stick. It works.

    I have used a USB stick to record live TV. It works. However, there are absolutely zero instructions for using this function so it is very much up to the user to work out. The usual recording via EPG is there, which means that on a TV / Freeview box with a single DVB tuner, if you are watching something at the time it will switch to the programme you have set to record when the time comes.

    I have zero idea how to delete anything from the usb using the TV either: probably have to take it out and connect it to a computer and do it that way…

    As with the first TV, when the box came it was so light I wondered if there was even a TV inside. The TV is so lightweight that I would have 100% confidence putting on a bracket on any of the walls in my house. Even a plaster board partition.

    At this price point I am very happy with the TV. Time will tell of long lasting quality.

    (Btw, I haven’t tried the 3.5mm out yet, nor the optical out. Nor do I have ‘cable TV’ or a satellite dish, which this also has connections for…)

    In case anyone is wondering after all of the above, I have docked a star for a few reasons:

    1, is that it ‘only’ has 2 X HDMI when my preference would be for 3.

    2, there is only 1 USB socket, so there has to be a choice between making it a smart TV with Now/Firestick/Roku etc (for USB to power) or as a stick Freeview recorder.

    3, the remote has to be pointed almost exactly in a straight line to the sensor on the TV for it to register. It is supper fast when it does, and is something that I will get used to, but it is still worth mentioning.

    Edit. Nearly a whole year on and all of the above still holds.

    Still excellent picture quality for the price point and cannot fault it, other than the points mentioned above.

    I considered getting another, smaller one for the bedroom, but my old supermarket TV is still going strong so these will have to stay in My List for the day I need it.

    4.0 out of 5 stars 42" Standard TV well worth buying

    Golden Review Award: 90 From Our UsersThe last time I bought a TV was 10 years ago so I am comparing it with a something that is over 10 years old. My old TV only came with the BBC iPlayer and a couple of others that required subscription whereas the RCA is fully up to date with all the catchup apps. The tuner also turns out to be quite sensitive – I live 37km from the transmitter that is also behind several walls (I live in a mid terrace) and yet it is able to pick up all the channels with an indoor aerial. However,

    1) there doesn’t appear to be a way to search the EPG. On my old TV, I could search by name or category (e.g. Star Trek or film) and see what (live) programmes are coming up. The only search that appears to be available is for on-demand content;

    2) the IPTV “data” channels such as Vision TV don’t work. Considering that they work flawlessly on my 10-year old TV this is rather disappointing. Hopefully it will be addressed in a future software update;

    3) there is an option to add “wireless audio devices” to the TV, devices such as speakers and soundbar with the graphic also showing headphones. I have not been able to get it to detect my bluetooth headphones;

    4) the remote is essential the same remote used in a Roku streamer slightly modified for a TV. As such it is missing some common buttons like one to turn subtitles on and off with a single touch.

    For the price this is not a bad TV although it can be a lot better.

    Update:
    I have now had the TV for nearly 2 weeks. The Roku App turns out to be quite useful and mitigates some of the shortcomings of the remote control. Using the app’s voice input, the many clicks that were previously needed to turn on subtitles can now be achieved by simply saying “turn on subtitles”. To open a “channel” (an app in Roku speak), you can say something like “launch ITVX” to launch the new ITV app.

    Live TV may be paused if you connect a flash drive to one of the USB ports. However, beware that a current bug causes the pause buffer to be wiped if you turn off the display, so if you get a phone call in the middle of a programme, you can pause for up to 90 minutes but do not be tempted to turn off the TV screen to save electricity.

    I tried to ask the seller about the failure to play the Freeview data channels through the Amazon website but did not get any response. There is no information in the supplied manual on where you can get technical support. Neither the Roku nor the RCA website list this model. I fear that once the Amazon return window passes, getting support may be tricky.

    Update 2: April 2023
    A couple of days ago the TV updated to Roku OS 12.0.0, build 4171. The update broke all of the Freeview catch up apps. Any attempt to launch any one of the Freeview apps from the home screen results in an error message saying “Channel Unavailable”. The only way these apps can be accessed now is via the EPG. With the EPG up, press “*” and select an app to start from there. The update is also causing the “private listening” audio to break up. Usually this can be fixed by toggling the headphones on/off button on the Roku mobile app. All in all, this is a poor update and it is not recommended.

    Update 3: April 2023
    The problem with the Freeview catch up apps has been fixed. Unfortunately, most of the Freeview data channels still do not work (see attached photo) despite the OS update.
