I got fed up of using blunt scissors for so long! Finally got these and they’re amazing. They cut really well, and even after a year, they’re sharp as ever.
Good for going through fabric, or more common things like paper and packing tape.
Not much to say about these, other than you get what you pay for. They are solid and sharp and do what they should. If you want a pair of Scissors, look no further.
I’m very impressed with these scissors. They are very sharp and the quality is obvious. One feature that makes them excellent is that the handles are slightly cross over one another which means when you use them it causes your grip to push the blades closer together ensuring a good cutting action.
I’ve actually just thrown away a pair of scissors that wouldn’t cut even though the blades were still pretty sharp. The reason was because the blades were moving away from one another when you tried to make the cut so there was a small gap. This made them totally non-functional. The way these ones are cleverly designed I don’t envisage that becoming problem.
The downside is that if you are left-handed the blades will actually push away from one another even more than typically scissors.
Sturdily made and pleasing to the eye, these seem to be likely to last for a while and represent value in a
competitive market, even when not among the cheaper items on offer. I’m a believer in the adage that
you tend to get what you pay for. False economy can lure an unwary buyer into a short life purchase.
Very sharp and well made, but as an OAP,I found them extremely hard to use.The apatures are small and having authritus I found them difficult to use.Having said that, ideal for a younger person.
Best scissors in our house and they are MINE! I shall hide these away I intend only to use these on paper. I make a lot of cards these will be ideal. I also will use them on wrapping paper. I did look at the wrapping paper gadgets but I think I will get more use from these scissors.
They are good scissors, nice and comfortable, not quite the same quality as Fiskars.
I would have liked a little more weight in them.
A decent pair of general purpose office scissors.
Excellent sharp-edged scissors, we like them so much we bought three pairs, and still they go missing since we use them all over the house – office, kitchen, garden etc etc. Handle might be a bit small for those with very large hands, but I can fit three fingers comfortably in the wide part. Very comfortable to use.
I’m chuffed to bits with this purchase. This is the second time I’ve bought these strong and sturdy scissors. They’re lightweight and do not cut into your hands. Reasonably priced and arrived well before their due date. Highly recommend.
Bought for use in a shop, used for cutting everything from fabric to plastic and cardboard. We don’t usually expect scissors to last very long; usually the handles break or the blades go blunt very quickly.
These scissors are still day 1 sharp, after 6 months of use, where most cheap scissors would have given up. At under a tenner, these aren’t really expensive, either. So impressed I’ll be buying a spare pair for work, and another for home.
The last pair of scissors you’ll need (probably).
These are very durable scissors, I had mine for years before I lost them, I bought a new pair and in comparison I think the old pair hadn’t really dulled at all.
I’d highly recommend these scissors.
At last a pair of scissors that actually cut! I was annoyed everytime I went to the kitchen drawer for a pair of scissors that just tore my paper. With these scissors this Christmas it was a pleasure to wrap my presents! Beautiful sharp scissors that did a perfect job. Needless to say they are hidden now from the rest of the family!
Use these as office/general scissors and have stayed sharp after much use. They are very comfortable to use and cut through paper/card with ease. The scissors are a good size and mean that you don’t have to saw through large items like wrapping paper, but are easy to manouevre for smaller, more detailed cutting.
I recently had a total wrist replacement operation on my right hand, it was only then that I realised I couldn’t cut anything using my usual right handed scissors with my left hand. I ordered a pair of Scotch Precision scissors which were delivered within a couple of days. They are just perfect, they enabled me to cut open the cat food sachets with no problems at all. Very nice weight, in their own cover, very reasonably priced. I would recommend the scissors without any hesitation.
Summary – a very good pair of scissors if you’re right handed – sharp, good movement and easy to keep clean.
I was looking for a new pair of scissors as my current pair were getting very blunt and I’ve had limited success sharpening scissor blades (unlike knife blades, which seem to sharpen much more reliably).
These claim to have extra tough/extra sharp blades and the claim seems to be true – they are indeed extremely sharp and capable. The colour is also quite impressive – certainly looks different to a standard blade, with the sort of purple finish.
I mention above right-handed – I am right handed and I find them fine – I can use them with my left, however I’m not best placed to know if they would work for a leftie long term.
Cons – be careful running these through a dishwasher – I did this and ended up with the white text on the blade washing off and the blade themselves looking quite tarnished – no impact on the performance, however I would suggest hand cleaning is a better route.
– no idea if they can be sharpened when they get blunt, however suspect it will be a long time and might be just as effective to replace them when the time comes.
Pros – comfortable, sharp, look quite impressive (for a pair of scissors!)
I’d definitely recommend these if you’re looking for a pair of kitchen, craft or very light greenhouse work.
