Just ordered my 3rd roll. I really like this filament. My prints feel sturdy look great and I’ve had no issues with any prints. They always come out ready to use.
Been using sunlu pla and petg for a couple of years now and once fully dialed in give very good results. Bought this colour for a specific project and initially had adhesion and build problems that I hadn’t with the other products. Does need more tuning.
This stuff prints at really low temperature – 175 or even 170 for 0.1mm layers – making it harden fast & hold detail well. I’d still say eSun PLA+ is better, but this is far cheaper and very useful for fine detail.
Have been a bit disappointed with PLA filament recently not being consistent and having to slowly up the temperatures so thought I would give this Meta a try being lower temp.
Absolutely pleased with this and the quality. Photos shown all done using Cura at 0.2 with a extruder temp of 180deg and a bed temp of 60deg and printer is a Ender 3Pro with stock extruder. Adhesion is excellent on a PEI steel plate.
Presently on my third roll of black and finding it has been consistent across all 3 rolls. Haver a roll of white but not tested that yet.
Just waiting for more black to come into stock.
Prints perfectly at 170C. Nice clean and crisp prints too. Had a little bit of wispy stringing on a couple of prints but I think that is more to do with my untweaked profile than the filament. At 170C it has a nice satin (not quite matt) finish but if you print it at 190-200C it gets that plasticy shine back. Rumour has it this will print as low as 150C, but 160C is the lowest I’ve tried. Given how well it flows I’d imagine that at higher temps it would allow for higher extrusion speeds.
I have not done any strength, resilience, impact or temperature resistance tests yet, but for purely aesthetic prints it appears to be a great filament. As long as you like the pastel colour selection.
Tip: You will probably have to edit your printer configuration to lower the minimum extrusion temperature if you want to print at lower temps.
Benchie on pictures is my best to date print with it.I usually use other brands Pla. Never had issues with much stringing. But here well it is a different story. Does string a LOT also seems to be brittle on higher temperature around 200 degree. Adhesion is good only when raft is used. Or bed is covered with glue stick.
I have tried few profiles and fine tweaks can’t find sweet spot with this one. I guess I will keep trying who knows. I am on a fence with this order.
