Well padded at the chest area. It is easy to adjust the size. It has safety lock on the closure clip. Has two attachment points, the normal top one and one at the front. The front attachment has helped decrease the amount of pulling my dog manages which has helped my back. Would recommend this for any strong pulling dogs.
Good quality harness, strong fitting and looks very smart on.
Given it 4 stars as I’ve found it difficult to adjust to get a good fit, but my collie pup is still growing.
It seems to bag on her chest or be tight against her front legs. I’ve solved this by using it back to front (with single circlet under her belly rather than on her chest)
First harnesses to fit well, just a wee bit too big. Others bought beforehand were much too big no matter which size I chose. Same colours as the collars. Shame the Green one was sold out. Really would have liked to have had that one.
It feels like good quality, it seems sturdy overall. It is slightly too big for my dog despite getting a small, but that’s my fault. The adjustable straps don’t stay where they are set so my dog has managed to climb out once when she pulled too much. The buckle is a bit annoying, it doesn’t always close or open easily. Good for the price though. I haven’t tried to wash yet but it feels very plasticy so I imagine it’ll wash great. I think my dog is comfortable in it, it’s over the chest not neck and has padding so doesn’t cut in behind the front legs.
My 8 month old Cockapoo loves his new harness, very easy to put on, the front d ring helps to stop him pulling, I love the double d ring at the back, if one gives way you still have control.
The medium fits him great with plenty of room if he grows anymore, he currently weighs 10.8kg.
Our cocker has always had a tendency to pull, we’ve tried all sorts of harnesses, but only this type seem to reduce the pulling. Others made him choke too. It’s loose the way he likes it and doesn’t go across his throat, but tight enough around the body to be secure. If you have a particularly twisty active dog, then they may wiggle out of it, though you can use both the clips on the front and back with certain leads. It’s easy step in to put on, just make sure both legs are through the loops. So far it’s as good as the pro pup one he’s worn out and is no longer available, it’s identical in design. We bought the size up for him as he measured to the limit of the next size down, it has adjusted to fit nicely. (He’s not a big cocker, but has a large fatty lump on his chest that meant he needed the extra size up. He’s an old boy, but still acts like a puppy)
Love the harness but my dog is an escape artist and can escape. Which is a worry. I dont want to put on tighter as he is recovering from an op on his neck.
I got this for my puppy who was growing so fast to get him used to it before we started walking. The buckles ensure that it can be adjusted and decent difference between the smallest and biggest which is good for growing pups.
He seems to like it and can manoeuvre well in it. It’s secure when fitted correctly but my puppy did manage to wiggle his way out of it yesterday. Having looked, we may not have readjusted the buckles to fit him after his first walk but then again we didn’t loosen them. So, they have loosened by themselves and then he has slipped out of it. It does seem secure so maybe he’s just wriggled more than usual.
It’s reflective detail is great (not that we will be walking him at the moment in the dark with all of the dog theft) and I really like the secure lock on the buckle so that can easily be pressed.
Overall, pretty happy. Seems comfortable and looks good. Just be mindful to keep checking the fit of it.
