my grandkids love it. My 4 y old grandson needs help sometimes, but the 6 & 8 year old can manage it without assistance. it takes pictures and keeps them occupied in car rides and it is a good toy to take places.
So much fun and lots to do! I was worried about other reviews saying the batteries don’t last long but I play it for a couple hours everyday and haven’t had an issue with the batteries! The only thing it’s not good at is detecting the colour of whatever you are taking a picture offor example when you “cook” you have to take 2 pics to mix different colours togetherit thinks most things are red. Apart from that I love this tamagotchi!!
A lot of people have complained about thr battery life on the Pix.
I’ve ran mine for a week now with fully charged AAA enloop pros and I’ve still not got a low battery screen.
I play on it for about an hour a day at least and rarely use the camera.
I think the battery life issues are more to do with people using low quality batteries then the device itself.
The touch buttons are hit and miss which is a little annoying but you do get used to it.
The colour screen looks amazing and I really love the selection of games and features this tamagotchi offers.
I changed my faceplate (you can look that up on online if you want to findout how to do that it’s quite simple) which is why it looks different to the one shown on amazon.
Overall I’m really happy with the pix.
I highly recommend it if like me your returning to the world of tamagotchi
I purchased this for my daughter who absolutely loves this toy. I myself owned a tamagotchi when I was younger & must say this new version is so much fun like the old version was when I was a kid I’d definitely recommend purchasing one!
Just make sure you don’t rush through the starting menu as English is the second option, if you rush it picks the first option of German, it has several language options. Does drain batteries, especially when using the camera function, so rechargeables are recommended. Nice to finally own a colour tamagotchi that is in English and the characters are super cute, you can even get the famous Mimitchi from the original gen 2 tamas and also download all items/snacks/foods online but make sure you’ve plenty of batteries before starting that.
I’m having so much fun with this game! I can hardly set it down. It’s fun and the screen quality and touch buttons are great. I read that the battery doesn’t last, but I bought rechargeable batteries and haven’t had an issue. I loved mine so much that I got one for my best friend!
The only thing that was frustrating is that you have to open the back with a small Philips screwdriver and it doesn’t come with one.
Para quien tenga duda la batera con pilas recargables dura de 5 a 7 das ya depende el uso que le des, pensaba que no duraba ni dos das como dicen los comentarios pero, no es cierto, y si lo usas para lo bsico dura ms.
Was impossible to buy over Xmas as all sold out, so was very pleased to find on Amazon for a good price to all legit and works perfectly (happy child ) even has a camera on it and a choice of pets !
I love this Tamagotchi there is so much to do with it. One problem was getting the screw out for the batteries at first it was too tight but my son finally managed it. I read a review where a lady took hers to the jewellers to get screw out 1st time so this is a good option. After the 1st time it has been fine. I had Tamagotchi’s several years ago when they 1st came out but what a big difference with the coloured screen and things to do. She goes to the restaurant and is greeted by the waitress who gives a menu and you pick from several choices of snacks, specials and meals. There is an arcade where you can win gold to pay for the meals toys things for the house etc. Different games and activities and she needs looked after to keep clean happy and healthy. Once your Tami is an adult they can move into a training room and for example train as a chef or musician. . You can take photographs of your tamagotchi and they go in the album. Also when friends come to visit her or she is in the park she lets you know to take a photo! She can also use the phone to phone friends, order a take away, book the sitter, phone an ambulance. No end to her talents! She even got a snowman which she takes outside and sings to it in the snow! My one goes to ‘bed’ about 10pm and gets up about 8 am. However, if it is not hungry or unhappy it will only give a wee beep every now and again but do remember to feed him regularly because if all his hunger signs are gone for a while the grim reaper might call! Your Tama will call out to alert you though! (The bed is in a separate room as is the bathroom and living room along with training rooms when you get them. I recommend this for children, but not too young, as well as adults! A lot more expensive than they used to be but there is a lot more to them. Definitely worth it. Comes with an instruction booklet in different languages. You also set your Tamagotchi to your language. I am editing to add my Tamagotchi is now 126 years old (in Tam years!) and I am on the 4th generation. This is because although the others have never died they were taken to planet Gotchi. Watch out if he/she asks you to make an album and add 3 photos. This means he is preparing to leave you. Once the spaceship comes and he leaves a new egg is delivered! This takes5-10 minutes to hatch and you have a new baby Tamagotchi! Check on the profile page to see 2nd name and the sex. Can be quite demanding for 1stcouple hours wanting his bottle cookie or rattle to play with. It gains a year every 4 days or so. Now does lots more, plays more games, more items, things to buy, decorate rooms and at holidays such as Easter you can buy gifts like Easter baskets full of gifts, Christmas has trees and gifts but the best is on its birthday. Totally amazing. I won’t give the surprises away! Batteries last about 5-7 days and that is it getting used every day. They tend to go a bit quicker if you cook a lot! Or have the brightness to high. Maybe consider rechargeable. If I don’t take too many photos or food pictures it can last about 8 days. And that is still taking pictures.
I totally RECOMMEND this Tamagotchi 100% I totally love my wee guy!! There is so much to do. I don’t understand how some people’s batteries are only lasting 1 day. I belong to a forum and this hasn’t happened so I’m wondering if there is a fault in the Tamagotchi. Yes they do require a lot of batteries but not as many as a lot of people seem to find. Also, many people are complaining it’s boring, doesn’t do much, buttons don’t work, waste of money etc. I honestly fail to see this. Maybe it is young children unable to understand it all. I don’t know but believe me it is a great item with lots of fun and things to do. If you get it and it is broken why complain here? Surely you would send it back for replacement. Really try I’m sure you will love it.
Edited to add my Tama lasted until 146 Tama years and was able to do many amazing things. However, after he qualified as a chef he picked up his uniform and told me he was a pro now and was returning home!! He did thank me but I was so upset!!! I got a new egg and will hopefully keep him even longer. 146 years is, if not a record, close to it! Go on, buy one!!
