Never underestimate a bin! This diapers bin is absolutely amazing and easy to use. The fact you don’t need to keep changing bin bags constantly is the best feature! It comes with a very long bag which opens as you add more diapers in. It really can store a lot of diapers! No smell at all.
In a future version I would perhaps add a pedal to open the lid, but it is not a big thing anyway.
It keeps any odour away and that is what I love the most. I have been using regular bin bags since I exhausted the ones that came with it and they work just as great. It takes a lot of nappies too, I have 2 babies so I know this
Actually I wanted to order only one but i was in the sleeping zone so accidentally ordered 2. But it was very useful because i kept one at my place and another i gave to my sister as she has toddlers so yh didn’t waste my money
Excellent nappy bin arrived quick and well packaged I had actually bought extra cartridges for it so the person receiving the gift could use it hassle free for a few months you also get a money off voucher sent to you for money off more cartridges, I’ve had feedback saying the bin is easy to use and is completely odourless and is quite compact for its size
Arrived yesterday, but the lid isn’t fitting completely. One day’s worth of cat litter was emptied into its regular dodo bag and put into this bin. It appears to be doing the job.
It’s sitting in the living room at the moment (different room to litter tray), and even the other half doesn’t realise he’s sitting with a bin of cat poo. He’s a matron, it must be working
All bags used are biodegradable.
This bin is really good, it is easy to use & contains the smell of the nappies without having to hand tie individual bags.
However, when I went to replace the bin bags I didn’t realise the whole plastic canister had to be replaced everytime. Seems like a lot of plastic waste (on top of all the nappies & nappy bags!). Because of this I’ve gone back to a normal bin.
Refills aren’t cheap either. – there are also different sizes, so make sure you get the right size for your bin.
Secure nappy bin that seals in all smells. Easy to set up and use. The turning and sealing function works well with the weight of dirty nappies, but is a bit more tricky with lighter general waste. The lid is secure but as such is quite stiff to open, a touch open feature would be easier when balancing lots of tasks. At 12.99 I have no complaints about the bin. Just be aware the refills add up when you factor in 6 plus nappies a day.
When the bin is empty it’s great but as it gets a little full you have to push the nappies further into the corners to make full use of the bags.
It does stop any smell though
After I shut the lid down, I couldn’t get it back open and didn’t have anything to tell me how to. I did work out how to in the end. If anyone else is having the same problem you have to push down in the middle of the lid then lift the tip at the end of the lid at the same time. Everything else is good, it’s easy to empty, easy to change the roll in the middle and no smell.
It’s a gift I chose from baby wish list when you creat one. It comes with 1 roll of bin bag. But then you have to buy it constantly and it’s not cheap. So my advice don’t go for it unless you have spare money to spend on useless baby products.
Pros:
Easy to use – twist and shut.
No smells escape.
Refills widely available.
Cons:
Refills arguably pricey.
Overall, would I recommend? Yes but the regular size. We decided we loved the regular size so much we got a second for downstairs. I purchased the xl version because it was actually cheaper at the time than the regular one. Retrospectively, I’d stick to the regular size – when you’re empty the bin it’s a lot easier with the regular size (you wouldn’t believe how heavy nappies can get!).
I’d say each bin needs three refills every three months or so whilst the refill price is a little more than I think it warrants, you’re not buying the refills every week.
Lovely bin, sturdy and can hold a good amount of nappies. It’s easy to change the cartridges when you get then hang of it. I do think the bags have a strange scent which I’m sure could be made more pleasant. It’s still better than baby poo though!
