Split in two with finger nails, inserted ee sim card . noted SSID and password ,fitted battery gave a full charge. Switched on got the three steady green lights. Recognized by Windows 10
filled in password, up and running.
Bought 3 March 37 .98 10 March 45 . 84.
Out of the box I fitted a 3 sim card and it just worked. The APN was set automatically and speed was better than my phone in the same location indoors.
I bought this WiFi to take on holiday when my phone signal / roaming is poor. This neat little gadget enables me to create a WiFi that I can connect to. Very impressed so far.
Easy to use and the app is great. Used in Thailand and had multiple devices connected to it. Only issue is that it gets really hot. Not sure if this is normal or not.
The functionality vise it’s fulfilling what it is designed for. The battery jumps from 50% to 10% in less than 10 mins while it takes good long time(may be 2 hours) to reach to 50% when fully charged.
Don’t know what’s the reason the back cover is made shiny and slippery, it’s not needed, doesn’t add up to the looks as well.
Works well and full of features like any other normal router.
I bought a data sim to test this in the UK before travelling. It worked very well (connection, speed etc) so happy with what it can do. BUT the arrangment to install the sim using a sticker label is just silly – it’s made it very difficult to get the current sim out (still not suceeded after 20 minutes of trying) and I have no spare stickers to replace it with a new one (if I ever dio get it out). Surely there’s a better solution than the current set up, no one is going to have just one sim in this for life! Spoils an otherwise good product.
