Very good and nice price product if you dont have Lan Card in your System.
    Just Plug and Play.
EASY TO INSTALL. NO NEED TO HAVE ANY DRIVER FOR THIS.

Works well for both gigabit internet and having USB flash storage at same time.

This specifically works with Sony TVs due to the fact that it has a specific Realtek chip in it, and is ofc legit.

Found conflicting info about debian support, I recently deployed a tiny pc as a docker host, needed a 1 gigabit adapter to provide local connectivity to my NAS. This works at gigabit speeds consistently, needed no fettling other than adding the interface config to /etc/network/interfaces with the IP, so for anyone wondering if it works on deb based systems, it does 🙂

5.0 out of 5 stars Actually works at gigabit speeds on debian 12.

For some reason the internal wireless card in my computer would not give me anything near the 1 Gb speed from my router so I used this USB adapter and now I get full speed. It’s plug and play as simple as that.
I also use one of these on my laptop and it works just fine.
    I highly recommend this product.

The Apple A1433 Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter failed and looking for a replacement this seemed the best alternative as Apple no longer supply the originals. (Wired ethernet is a must for those of us who live in old houses with thick walls!)

Plugged it in and it worked first time, no special stup of drivers needed for MacOS Catalina. In fact it has improved the OOKlA connection stats for me, too. Possibly the failing Apple connector was causing signal degradation.

    Very happy with this.

I use this item with a Dell P34d monitor, it enables me to plug in just one cable to my laptop and everything else is into the hub. It needed a little bit of setting up to allow my IP Address to be seen by the network but its been faultless since. 2 minutes set up to avoid fiddling with wires! Cant complain!

So, grabbed this because the new 4k Smart TV I have from Toshiba has a network card inside that just doesn’t do the job for streaming games etc to it.

Grabbing this, there’s no drivers to install on an Android TV, but I found plugging it in as expected whilst the TV is on standby led to whenever I tried to go into settings to check, the TV would freeze and reboot.

A quick unplug, wait and plug back in resolved this issue and now everything is working fine (leaving the adaptor plugged in and connected to a live network cable). Just remember some TV’s (like mine) turn off the USB ports when on standby, so it takes a few seconds to reconnect each time you turn it on – but the settings issue hasn’t returned.

All in all a good product that does the job you need it to do – streaming is now flawless speeds, if only the Steam Link app wasn’t so flaky!

A handy little gadget one shouldn’t have to buy. I have a router on the ground floor. My main, sensible, productive, proper workhorse computer with an rj45 connection that would connect to the router if only it weren’t 2 floors above, is 2 floors above. Then I have my ridiculously small laptop. I can take my ridiculously small laptop to the router but can’t plug it in because connectivity is via USB C. It can’t be just me. Certain admin jobs need a wired connection if, like me, you understand that your IT kits needs a certain amount of TLC to stay tip-top, or even just to maximize features. Anyway, this adapter is the answer. So yeah it’s an adapter. It works. Yawn. 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this to bypass my TVs Ethernet capping internet at 100mbps. Whereas the product works, it needed replugging in on every TV power cycle.

This was for an LG CX TV. I’m sure it’s fine for most peoples uses though, this is just my review for my use case

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s 2021, Sony release a 1,200+ 4K TV Smart Android powered TV full of streaming apps. Somewhere in that great organisation an engineer or accountant, still believing it’s the mid 90’s decides to include a 100Mbps in that TV; the XH90.

What does that mean? Most streaming services will work fine, but they might be a bit slow to load. However is you plan to use SteamLink then it’s a total bust, max 30Mbs rendering streaming gameplay unusable.

Thats where this dongle comes in, it essentially adds a gigabit speed ethernet port to the TV. Simply plug it into the USB3 port on the TV and move the ethernet cable from the built in port to the one on the dongle. It works straight away, and Steam Link speeds went from 30bs to 100Mbs; a vast improvement.

The only downside is that the built in USB hub can’t be used with an external hard disk for recording – the TV see’s the hub and doesn’t want to play. So simply buy the ethernet dongle without the USB hub.
