I’m never sure about charging cables but after researching a bit, I decided these should work with my 30w adaptor and fortunately they do. One is charging my MacBook Air and the other is being used by my son to charge his Samsung phone, so they appear to do the job for most devices. Good price and so a worthwhile purchase, in my opinion.
Now consider that at the time of writing you get two 1.8m cables for 5, if you tick the voucher checkbox, and these appear extremely good value for money.
Note the blue on the plug ends is a protective film that should be removed before use.
This twin pack of USB-C to USB-C fast charging cables seems well made. The cables seem very durable – and both cables all fast charging. The cables are a bit chunkier than more value options, but that is to be expected with a cable designed for fast charging. The terminals are well engineered and they fit the corresponding ports really well. The ends of the cables are not too chunky to fit through a phone case either. Well designed. Good performed. Great value.
These USB C to USB C cables come packaged in a resealable pouch. There are 2 cables in the pouch They are 1.8 metres in length, perfect for me to use when I’m in bed as the plug point is not too close to my bed. They are advertised as fast charging at 100 watts. Unfortunately all of my plugs are 20 watts, so I can’t test the accuracy of the speed at 100 watts. However, on my phone (Google Pixel 7) it still states that it’s charging rapidly on my 20 watts plug, so I’m quite pleased with this product. I love that the ends of the cables are blue, as it distinguishes these cables from my other cables which are all 60 watts.
I’ve got no complaints at all about this, and I’d happily order them again if I needed some more USB C to USB C cables. Use it to charge up everything these days.
These USB C to USB C cables feel well made. They are plastic rather than braided so some care is needed long term not to pull on the cables when pulling them out. They are about 1.8m long which is the 6ft advertised length. There is no power rating on the packaging, but the Amazon listing says they are good for 100w. In testing, I found both cables topped out at about 89w. I would have expected a bit of tolerance above the 100w. For the money, these are decent cables, so long as you treat them with care and don’t expect a full 100w. They are plenty fast enough to charge iphones, ipads and the like. They only need 20-35w. Even higher powered macbooks run at much less than 100w so for most practical purposes, these cables will be all you need.
