The set up was comfortably easy. I thought I would have had more mess in my ears, but my ears seem to be relatively clean, except a few yellow ear-wax. However, must caution the danger of damaging your ear – you must be very careful and patient!
The price point for this device is spot on. Had it been more than 20 I don’t think I would have taken a punt on it, but after using it I realise that it is worth so much more than that.
I suffer with recurring ear infections and also wear hearing aids, so have to ensure that my ears are kept clean and wax-free. This device is perfect for that.
It took a couple of attempts to set it up but that may have been due to my specific phone (Pixel 7). The phone doesn’t like connecting to WiFi that doesn’t have an internet connection. So when trying to pair it for the first time, I was selecting the device WiFi as per the instructions but nothing seemed to be happening and when I checked my WIfI connection it had reverted back to my home WIFi instead of the device. After a couple of tries I realised that after selecting the device WiFi, my phone was prompting with a notification asking if I wanted to use a connection without internet. This notification was hidden by the app and I only noticed it by pulling down from the top of the screen to see the notification bar. Once passed this, everything worked as described.
I had to have a telephone consultation with my GP and I was able to send him images of my eardrum from this device. He was very impressed with the pictures and was able to quickly identify yet another ear infection and prescribe antibiotics. Without this I would have had to make a trip to the surgery.
I can only say i am amazed with this little gismo. A lifelong ear blockage sufferer i can now see what i have never been able to before. Yes you do have to be careful with your ears but thats a given. Also practice first to get used to the orientation when using yourself through the app on camera, however the flip option is very useful.
Camera quality is brilliant and also has a record option.
Absolutely no issue connecting on iphone, plugged and played in under a minute.
I never usually leave reviews but just had to on this item as, being an okd cynic, i have been pleasantly surprised for once!!

I have put 5 star for what I rate this product, as I’m so happy with how this has made me feel, and doing something at home which others would pay a specialist to remove.
I have put 4 stars for video quality, ease of use and battery. Firstly video quality on these kind of devices are not HD equivalent, but that’s currently to be expected. The quality is however sufficient for its use. Second, ease of use as previously explained will take a while to get use to. If you have a someone who could help, get their assistance! Third, I was too eager to use the device when it arrived, therefore did not charge it immediately. However it come with 2 bars out of 4 for battery. This lasted ages, enough time for me to make numerous attempts at doing it myself (probably 15ish minutes), and 5 minutes when my wife helped. I cannot accurately assess battery at this stage hence 4 stars.
Unlike other bluetooth / WiFi connections from device to phone, this was pretty flawless. Absolutely no issue connecting and getting a clear, instant video from the end of the camera.
I did find the end a ‘little’ large, especially with the provided scoops. Still totally usable, but a tad uncomfortable. This could be personal to me if I have a narrow ear canal.
A ‘little’ difficult to clean as the camera is recessed and the rim is not a flat surface, but a small amount of isopropyl alcohol and a cotton bud / tissue did the job well.
Will definitely use again in the future to check ear canal health.
It’s so simple to use! Links up to your phone via WiFi direct through its own app, suear. There’s one button on the device, on and.off. you can’t go wrong. And it doesn’t need anything more either. Further features are within the app, that allow some control over camera view, recording and battery monitoring.
The picture quality is great, the light does a great job to ensure you see everything. The device is light and strong. I think it will last at least as long as the battery.
During prelonged use I noticed the end get a bit warm but this was no concern as it never got hot or uncomfortable.
Time will tell how good the battery is . I don’t think it will be great, but still fit for purpose. It’s a bit annoying that you don’t know if it’s fully charged without checking the app.
I was very pleased with mine and also purchased another as a gift and would recommend to anyone.
Note the additional silicone ends are replaceable so if more than one person in a house hold needs to use it just dish out those ends to avoid any cross contamination.
There is a possibility to find alternative use cases for it, for example visual checks and.logging of small electronic chip or parts for tiny damages, but note it’s short focual length due to the intended nature of use.
Or perhaps getting a closer look at an annoying barely protruding splinter?
Not sure how it compares to others on the market so I followed the reviews and I hope this helps you choose. (By the way I’m super critical)
Price: very good value at time of purchase was somewhere around 20ish.
