We have twin boys and they fight over this toy!! It’s a great purchase and has all different types of things to do with it, shapes, colours, food and throwing and turning the burger upside down is a fav and seeing the parts fall on the floor.

I picked this up as a Christmas present for my 14 month old daughter and was certainly a welcome break from the constant barrage of toys requiring batteries and screeching sounds!

Truth be told, when I picked it up she wasn’t really one to play with stacking toys, however to my surprise (and more than 2 months later) this is one of her favourite toys!

Initially, I was worried this wouldn’t be very age appropriate as it appeared to require spinning the pieces on/off. The central shaft for stacking has a screw-like thread around it so each piece of the burger simply spins to the bottom by itself when placed at the top so it was extremely easy for her to figure out.

Now the embarrassing part. I thought “surely my daughter will not be able to get the bits back off herself” and to that she simply tipped the toy upside down and of course they began to spin off themselves… Clever girl, silly dad!

Each piece of the burger is a vibrant colour with the colour written on it to help your child identify the word associate with the colour. Another cool thing about each piece is that they have an internal shape that can be pushed out with a little force. This then opens the toy up to become a ring toss game which my 4-year-old daughter and I enjoyed playing while my 14 month old retrieved the pieces! There is also one felt lettuce piece that mixes up the sensations of the toy.

I did find the shapes were a bit too hard for my 14 month old to push out by herself but, given the age range of the toy, I can’t be surprised by that!

Overall, I think this is a fantastic purchase and well worth the money. Hopefully this toy can be the surprise hit for someone else as it was for us too!

This set combines creative play with learning, using different shapes and colours for cognitive development. My child loves stacking the pieces in various ways, enhancing creativity and motor skills. The secure locking mechanism is easy for little hands, making it a great educational and fun toy.

The Build-a-Burger toy is a fantastic way for my child to engage in imaginative play while developing skills. The different play modes provide a variety of fun activities, from stacking to sorting. The set’s pretend food pieces encourage creative burger building, and matching them by shape and color enhances my child’s cognitive abilities. It’s great to see how creative my child gets with stacking the pieces in different ways.

VTech Baby Build-a-Burger, Stacking & Sorting Toy with 6 Food Pieces.
This is a great little food stacker toy where they build the perfect burger.
My children always loved there for toys and although this is an individual toy it will eventually become part of your little ones food and cooking games.
Vtech are a reputable company offering safe, fun toys and games.
Overall, this is a fun and very colourful stacking food game and is presented very nicely if purchased as a gift.
    Great fun and great quality.

This toddler dexterity/matching toy is made from chunky, robust plastic with a high gloss appearance. It’s quite an interesting thing, because it looks like a regular stacking toy, but has been designed with several differences that offer an extended range of development and learning experiences.

The plastic food layers are all highly textured to give different sensory input, and the ‘lettuce leaf’ is made from a thick felt rather than plastic.

The colourful layers give opportunities to talk about foods and what they’re supposed to be, colours, and shapes. The plastic layer pieces each have two parts to them, so can be connected or separated and there are elements of sorting and matching here as well as dexterity practice in connecting the pieces together and in throwing (outer pieces only) or adding them on to the holder. The holder pole as a spiral design so pieces spin on rather than simply sliding down into place.

It’s not all positive – burgers aren’t necessarily the healthiest of foods and introducing young children to the appeal of fast food is perhaps not the best message – but this is a well made toy with many good features.

My son and I had great fun playing with this together, practising colours, shapes and naming food. He is two years old, and could do everything with this toy except throw the loops over the stick. He was really good at matching up the shapes to the different slices.
I really like that there are a couple of different ways to play with this toy that means it keeps my son’s attention for longer. His favourite part was when you tip it upside down, and the different slices of food, spin and twist off.
It’s really bright and colourful and well-made from sturdy plastic. It doesn’t require batteries and there are no electronic components. A good activity for children between six months to 3 years.

This build a burger comes all stacked up in the box so you are able to see what it looks like all put together.

The burger has an adorable face printed on the top of the bun too that really helps it stand out with the kids.

There are many ways to play with this toy, from spinning, stacking to even matching the correct shapes and colours together.

The parts also have different textures and feels to them, for example the lettuce is a felt feel whilst the burger is a hard plastic. This adds an extra fun feel whilst playing.

The VTech Baby Build-a-Burger is a pretty chunky Stacking & Sorting Toy with 6 Food Pieces that makes for an interesting foody take on a traditional stacking game.

As well as the traditional stacking it also makes for a great aim & throw game, spinner top and matching game so makes for a great little game to pick up and play in any state which is great.

The level of detail is really good too and although it’s a bit on the hard plasticky toy for younger ones, the overall quality is fantastic and it makes for a pretty great package overall.
