This little bird light is really nicely designed, and makes an eye catching ornament. It comes with a stand to sit on, or it can be hung from the metal hook (I think it would be good if this was removable). Easy to adjust the light settings and brightness, battery life is okay
This bird-shaped night light comes safely boxed together with a stand and USB charging cable. I plugged it in and a red light came on to indicate charging, it didn’t take long to fully charge.
Build quality seems very good, the light is plastic but with a convincing wood effect. There’s a chain and loop on top to hang it up. I’m using the stand though, it’s easy to insert and remove. The instructions suggest that oil can be added but I haven’t tried this feature as I don’t use oils.
Performance is great, the light is suitably bright but can be dimmed and the colour temperature can also be adjusted, with three to choose from (warm, white, cool). There’s only one button though and it’s a touch button, so the process can be a bit fiddly. A single press will cycle through the modes while holding it down will adjust brightness. Sometimes it doesn’t do what I want it to do but for the most part it’s very responsive.
Battery life is decent, I keep it on the lowest brightness setting so it lasts longer. It looks smart and works well so overall I am very happy with this night light.
I got this in the Wood version and its honestly beautiful, first time I used that work to describe an amazon product… It really is lovely and well made.
The 3 different light settings work very well and its bright enough to light a bedside table. You barely need to tough it so no risk of knocking the thing over unless you are generally heavy handed.
Charging works as expected, you can leave the cable in all the time if you like so if its not needed to be portable, just leave it plugged in.
Not tried the diffuser, honestly didnt know there was one as only got it for the look and the nightlight feature. I dont use diffusers so this will be an unused option but as mentioned, the hole is tiny so you’d need to be careful with the dropper (most essential oils come with a dropper).
This is a really lovely little light, perfect for any bedside table.
This lovely bird lamp was packaged in a good cardboard box and it could easily be used as a present. A USB cable is supplied that plugs in under the tail which glows red as it charges and goes out when finished.
Tapping the touch button on the head lets you choose from 3 light modes. They are all effective and bright enough to read with and can be dimmed to night light level by holding the touch button down.
The bird itself is a sleek stylish design. Made of plastic, the wood effect is quite realistic from afar. It can be hung up by the chain or used with a stand which slots into the bird’s base. A double sided sticker is provided to secure the bird to a surface if necessary.
The diffuser element is confusing. I can’t see a reference to it either in the instructions that came with the bird or the online product information, except for a single photo. There is a tiny hole on top of the bird’s head which suggests it’s possible but only if you had a very tiny dropper to insert the essential oil in. I’m happy using it as a lamp for bedside reading.
This is a beautifully made bedside light which is not bright enough for reading but perfectly fine for providing ambient lighting before bedtime. The light is soft and has three different warmth settings. The brightness is controlled by holding the same button on top of the bird’s head which is a clever touch. It took a while to get used to the switch as it sometimes didn’t register my touch but after a while it became second nature. The wood carving is smooth without any splintering and looks great just as an ornament. The key chain is also a nice touch for hanging up but slightly detracts from the aesthetics. I prefer to have it on the stand as it looks more attractive but the keychain affords greater flexibility for placement.
The only thing missing from this is a timer mode so it can switch off after 30 minutes or 1 hour which would have made this product even better.
Beautiful looking light. Keyring screwed into the top, but easily unscrewed and use with the stand provided
Warm and white lights, can adjust brightness
I find if I just touch where the power button is on its head it sometimes works mostly doesn’t. But if I touch the light and the power button it works reliably…unclear if some kind of faulty connection.
Charged fine. Provides. Really bright light at full capacity
This is a really attractive little lamp that I have initially placed on my work desk. The lamp came with an attached key chain so that you can hang it up, and a small stand to fix the bird body to. I easily removed the keychain.
The bird is made of a wood effect plastic and not wood as other reviewers might have claimed. That said, it is a very good imitation and you can only really tell by touch.
The bird has three light settings with differing brightness. To select, you press the top of the birds head. A 4th press switches him off.
The bird takes about 4 hours to fully charge.
The one disappointment that I found was that the lamp didn’t really work at all as a diffuser. I tried it with some lavender essential oils but got no scent at all. I do not think the lamp gets warm enough to activate the oil.
Overall, I lovely little lamp that makes me smile when working at my desk. It would equally make a gorgeous little nightlight.
This is brighter than I expected but it depends how its used. The light as seen comes from the base of the bird so if using the small stand most of the light shines on the surface it sits on. If you are intending to use as a bedside lamp to read from it would be too dark. Hanging it up and the light from the base is easily bright enough.
While rechargeable is nice, with no battery indicator you will have to remember to keep charging just in case its low. Its a touch sensitive button which works fine but you always have to cycle settings and no memory feature. So to turn it off you need to click through the colour options and it doesn’t remember any preset so if turning on at night and need it to be a warm dim light it wont do that as it resets every time its turned off.
Its clearly plastic looking close up, but looks more premium from a distance and the wood effect does look like wood until you get close. If hanging it up then it has no cover for the base mount hole and so this is always visible. On the plus side its USB C, so far the battery seems to be lasting fine and a bright light for its size.
I like this wood effect bird lamp. It’s actually made of plastic, but the wood grain look is convincing. It arrived with the short metal chain already attached to the top, and comes with the stand packed separately in the box. Personally, I think it looks better hanging up. It has three light settings – bright warm white, dimmed cool white, and dimmed warm white. They’re all a bit too bright for a nightlight, so this is more of a proper lamp you can illuminate a small space with. It’s fun and a bit quirky, but does its job effectively.
Apparently, you can add some drops of essential oil to the hole on top of the bird’s head, but it’s a very small hole, and most bottles of essential oils don’t come with a pipette dropper, so it would probably be messy to try that. You’re better off buying a separate oil diffuser if you want oils, and just use this as a lamp. Comes boxed with a USB charging cable.
I absolutely love this rechargeable robin light which doubles up as an ornament and is also a diffuser and a keyring. You can sit it on its stand or hang it via its keyring on a festive tree, cupboard or window handle, even from the ceiling if you want a flying bird light. It’s also portable so can be carried or hooked onto bags on walks or camping trips to light the way or when crossing the road.
It arrived slightly open which might have been deliberate to make it easier to stick the charging cable under the tail to charge it, but I just clicked it shut, anyway. It might be a little fiddly for some to insert the cable the first time but gets easier with practise. It turns red under the tail and in the lower belly whilst charging and the light goes out when fully charged.
The light is easy to turn on and off, as well as rotate through the triple cycle of light settings and switch off again by gently touching the on-off symbol on top of the head. I found it easy to change the settings, it’s very sensitive and easy to switch on in the dark just by touching the robin’s head, no trying to find buttons or switches in the dark.
The stand has a little groove which you need to insert into the robin’s base and gently push it into place. The top of the body (head, wings and tail) are wood-effect, the breast white, allowing for three clear light settings from mellow to bright. I think it’s absolutely charming, a great ornament, as well as a practical light.
It’s a good size, slightly longer than a mobile phone from the elegant tip of its tail to its beak and almost a mobile phone-sized high. It’s a lovely solid piece and, as a robin fan, one of my favourite Amazon orders. Friends have ordered their own after seeing mine, it’s that appealing but also practical.
5* — A beautiful robin light and ornament, which can also be used as a diffuser or a rather large keyring or to hook onto bags on walks or camping trips. Perfect mood lighting or even as a reading light thanks to its three light settings. It’s a great size and I can’t praise it enough, I love it!
