WenmthG Golden Ticket – Scratch Card Reveal Holiday

We’ve read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory so my son was ecstatic to get his own Golden Ticket. I was actually quite impressed by the quality. The envelope is a plain metallic gold made of very thick card with a slot to seal it – my issue with this is because the card is thick you need to be careful as it will want to dent where the flap touches the slot so the slot needs to be pulled slightly open. There’s also a tendency to crease as you try and bend it a bit into the slot but it soon flattens out. The Golden Ticket itself is also really good thick card. On the back is a metallic starburst design with GOLDEN TICKET, an open gift and Surprise text. On the other side it has the old style ticket design and I like that it gives you a place to put a name for the golden ticket holder. With it being a shiny card though not all pens are going to write neatly on this. I used a fabric pen and it worked well – just give it time to dry before putting it in the envelope. I like that there’s also the space to write your surprise message. Maybe a downside is the background to this is white. There’s then 2 scratch off panels provided. These are quite sticky when it touches the ticket so I think you need to be quite precise with the first one – I’m not sure how easy it would be to remove and replace with the other. The scratch off panel scrapes off relatively easily with a coin though with no damage to the message as it leaves a clear film over it – just don’t use anything too sharp. It doesn’t look like the panel will get easily scratched either so the surprise should stay well hidden until it’s reveal. At 4.99 I think it’s not bad for the price – a greetings card of this quality would likely be around the same but this definitely has a fun element to it.
