This stylus pen for compatible iOS devices is a pretty decent alternative to the ridiculously expensive Apple Pencil. It arrived fully charged, feels nice in the hand and glides over the screen. I had no connectivity issues or dropouts. If you don’t have the funds to hand over to Apple, getting a third-party stylus like this makes perfect sense.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent substitute for Apple Pencil

Got this for my wife who has a new iPad Air – I have the Apple version (old one) – This compares very well, it easy to use and no need for Bluetooth connectivity. come with charger and the lights on the stylus show how much charge is left. I think to get the real paper like feel then you need the correct screen protector. Using this on the normal surface is a bit shiny & slippery. So really pleased and way cheaper than the Apple versions.

I must say it is a fast-charging one and has seamless palm rejection, it feels like a natural extension of my hand when I’m sketching or taking notes. The tilt sensitivity adds an extra dimension to my creativity, and it’s been compatible with my iPad Air 3 without any hiccups. At just 14.99, it’s a steal for its performance. Here’s to hoping it maintains its quality in the long run, but for now, I recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable stylus for their iPad.

This pencil stylus is for my wife’s iPad as she enjoys digitally colouring, and this makes it easy as it has palm rejection technology.
The pencil is easy to use, by just tapping the top it turns on, and with no pairing needed it is ready to draw/write/colour.
The thing my wife likes about this the most, is the function that allows her to shade and create texture with the tilt of the pencil, it gives good control over line thickness and she is practicing doing hair strokes at the moment with it.
The pencil is nice and comfortable to hold for any length of time, the usage time after a quick 15 minute charge is anywhere up to 10 hours.
There is a auto shut off when it hasn’t been used in 10 minutes, and with a flashing light in the last minute alerting you to the shutdown it can just be picked up and used , otherwise it’s just the tapping on the top to wake it up again.
It comes with 2 nibs, one is already attached, a set of instructions and a USB-C charging cable.
At 14.99 at the time of writing this review, this is a really good substitute to the Apple product, and my wife really likes it.

Package contents: iPad pencil, Spare tip, USB C cable, Instruction leaflet.

    Price when tested: 15.99.

    Tested with: iPad 9th Gen.

Easy to use once fully charged. A double top on the top turns the pencil on or off. No need to pair via Bluetooth as the pencil works as a stylus straight out of the box.

I’m no artist but I manged a few simple drawings and the iPad was able to convert my handwriting into text.

The lack of Bluetooth support means this is a basic iPad pencil with no advanced functions. The charging port has a removal dust cover which would be easy to lose, I would.ve preferred it to be hinged.

Overall, for the price this is value for money and comes with a spare tip and USB C charging cable. But if you want advanced features, you’ll need to search for a pencil that can pair to the iPad via Bluetooth.

The first thing I noticed about using this stylus is how easy the set up was. You simply turn it on and you’re good to go! Which if I’m honest caught me out as I was expecting some sort of Bluetooth pairing. Although because of this it means there are fewer feature compared to what you would find on an Apple pencil for example. I’ve only used it for note taking so far and it feels very responsive, although there is no pressure sensitivity. I did find while much better at note taking than your bog standard stylus I couldn’t use it with all buttons or gestures which was annoying.

You charge the stylus via the USB-C port at the top which has a silicone dust cap. It chargers very quickly within 20 minutes it. I can’t comment on battery life as I have yet to run it flat.

Overall I think this is an excellent styles for note taking and basic sketches. A good one to start out with before upgrading to something with more features.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Stylus

I have an Apple Pencil for my iPad Pro, and my younger son loves using it for doodling, however as I use it as a second screen for coding (via the awesome duet app for windows), it’s not often that he uses it.

He does have his own iPad 7th Generation which does not work with any of the Apple Pencils.

Having seen this would work with it, I immediately got it, and was very pleased as to how easy it is to setup.. in fact, there’s no setting up! Just power it on, and it works. No Bluetooth pairing needed.

My son now uses this daily for writing a diary of some sort, random doodles, and using it for some games.

In terms of features, it acts like a standard stylus. That’s it. No pressure sensitivity, or tap to undo, or anything other feature you’d find on an Apple Pencil. It’s only really useful for writing, and rough sketches.

It lasts a good amount of time before it needs charging – we used it straight out of the box for roughly 2 hours before it needed a charge.

Highly recommended for those with older devices not compatible with Apple Pencils, but would still recommend an Apple Pencil over this for those with newer iPads.

I like the sleekness of this pen but it’s still pretty east to hold. It’s smooth and easy to use. I feel the calibration is a tiny bit off but it’s not too much of a bother for me.

It took a bit of getting used to, in that it switches itself off after a period of not being used, but quickly switches itself back on when needed. I’m still not sure how that works, but it seems that holding the top end of the ‘pencil’ reactivates it. I can recommend it.

As an avid iPad user and digital artist, I’ve had the pleasure of testing out the Pencil Stylus, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed. This stylus offers a seamless and intuitive drawing experience, making it an essential tool for anyone who loves to create on their iPad.

One of the standout features of the Pencil Stylus is its fast charging capability. With just a few minutes of charging, I was able to get hours of use out of the stylus, allowing me to work uninterrupted for extended periods. This fast charging feature is incredibly convenient, especially for those moments when inspiration strikes, and you need your stylus to be ready to go at a moment’s notice.

Additionally, the Pencil Stylus boasts palm rejection technology, which ensures that only your stylus marks are registered on the screen, even when your hand is resting on the iPad. This feature has been a game-changer for me, as it allows for more natural and fluid drawing movements without any unwanted interference.

Another impressive aspect of this stylus is its tilt sensitivity, which allows for precise control over line thickness and shading. Whether I’m sketching, illustrating, or taking notes, the tilt sensitivity of the Pencil Stylus allows me to achieve the exact effect I’m looking for with ease.

Furthermore, the build quality of the Pencil Stylus is top-notch. It feels comfortable and well-balanced in the hand, with a sleek and modern design that complements the aesthetics of the iPad perfectly. Overall, I can confidently say that the Pencil Stylus for iPad is a must-have accessory for any digital artist or iPad user. With its fast charging, palm rejection, tilt sensitivity, and impeccable build quality, it elevates the iPad drawing experience to new heights. Whether you’re a professional artist or just enjoy doodling in your spare time, this stylus is sure to enhance your creativity and productivity.

The run time on this stylus is very good, it’s long enough to use it for extended periods without a recharge. It’s fairly comfortable to hold, not dissimilar to a pencil and, I found it to be quite accurate with the stylus positioning. It does work without gloves, I didn’t have any trouble when brushing the screen with my palm.
