If you’re a casual gamer and usually play more cozy games than combat games, I think this is perfect in terms of quality. It’s quite good quality for what I’m using it for (e.g. cozy games, Hogwarts Legacy, Zelda) – it gets the job done and the rumble is enough for me. Its battery is long lasting but I don’t game hours everyday. I am a girl with small hands so I find the size perfect, and the texture gives me a good enough grip. It’s very pretty and the buttons are good enough for me – easy to use and not sticky nor does it take much effort to press. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend. It’s very affordable and I think good enough for the types of games (e.g. Spiritfarer, Cozy Grove, Gris, Hogwarts Legacy, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Ni No Kuni) and amount of gaming I do (maybe 2 h a day, and not everyday sometimes).

A steal for its price. Does everything as expected. The rumble is better than I thought. The shoulder buttons are a bit clicky and tough at times, but nothing that bothers much personally. The wake-up function is also a good addition. Recommend 100%.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersIf you’re considering the 8Bitdo Ultimate C Bluetooth Controller for your gaming needs, especially with the Nintendo Switch, here’s a straightforward breakdown after three months of use:

Build and Design: The controller is notably lighter than those from Sony or Xbox, which might initially suggest a lesser build quality. However, its construction doesn’t compromise on sturdiness and durability.

Ergonomics: The controller is designed for extended gaming comfort, outperforming the default Switch controllers in terms of how it feels in your hands during long gaming periods.

Connectivity: Be prepared for a bit of a learning curve with the initial setup, as the controller’s pairing process with the Switch isn’t immediately obvious.

Compatibility: Remember, if you connect the controller to a different device, you’ll need to re-pair it with the Switch before using it again, which is a slight inconvenience.

Features: Equipped with Bluetooth, 6-axis motion control, a robust battery offering 16 hours of play from a two-hour charge, and responsive non-linear digital triggers, the controller is technically well-endowed.

Color Options: It comes in various colors like Pink, Blue, and Orange, giving you some personalization with your gaming setup.

Overall: The 8Bitdo Ultimate C Bluetooth Controller is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and user-friendly controller for the Switch. Despite a few hitches in connectivity and initial setup, its ergonomic design and range of features make it a strong contender in the market.

This controller is a commendable option for any Nintendo Switch user who values comfort and functionality in their gaming accessories, proving itself over several months of consistent use.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersDOES NOT SUPPORT AMIIBO OR RUMBLE
Excellent controller, especially for the price, although it is very comparable to Pro controller it doesn’t have amiibo support or HD rumble and IR functions.
The listing is silent in this, doesn’t say it does or doesn’t which is deceptive
Still, I don’t care for it as I don’t use Amiibo or IR and rumble uses a lot of battery but if you do and were assuming it did, beware.
The plastic is decent, again for the price it’s better than most any other in this range. The sticks hold up, nice for medium-large hands of adults. Buttons are nice similar to a slightly harder SNES controller, the d-pad is near identical to SNES d-pad although slightly recessed in to the controller.
Amazing controller, truly is, despite lacking functions – please update the listing though for those wanting these functions, it’s a great piece regardless but be honest, 8bitdo makes quality stuff and no one should feel bitter about it because of deceptive or incomplete specs

DOES NOT SUPPORT AMIIBO OR RUMBLE

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a basic controller with a very good build quality. The buttons and triggers are firm, but not sticky. Pairing to the Switch is a breeze. It doesn’t have a ton of extra features that hardcore gamers would be looking for, but that’s a great thing. The controller takes out all the fluff and gives a simple, straightforward, well-built experience. Feels great in the hand. I think I might like it better than the Pro controllers 8bitdo is known for. Would love to see this in the N64 transparent colorwave.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersI asked a question here before purchasing, and got a few different answers, but none of them quite got it right, so I’d like to clarify now that I’ve got my hands on one.

The 8BitDo Ultimate C controller can indeed ‘wake up’ the Switch instantly. First, you must push the Home button to turn the controller on, then just give it a little shake, and it powers right on. Very convenient.

Keep in mind, in the Switch’s TV settings, you have to have “Match TV Power State” turned On, as well as having this feature enabled on the TV itself.

Absolutely a bargain at this price point. Fantastic controller all around. Bluetooth stayed connected in every room of the house, and even outside on the porch. Just played a few rounds of Splatoon 3 and the motion controls worked flawlessly.

The only complaint I can think of is that sometimes light vibrations come through as strong rumbles, but its not enough to dissuade me in the slightest.
