AIPINQI Meta Quest 3 Accessories, 3 in 1 Silicone VR Protective Case Set for Oculus Quest 3, Sweatproof Washable Lightproof Anti-Leakage, Face Pad Cushion, Lens Cover, Joystick Caps
I thought this was a complete replacement piece made of silicone, but it is just a cover that goes over the original fabric facial interface to prevent it from absorbing sweat.
Good quality and comfortable silicone face cover. The fit is just OK, but does the job, the silicone has a nice texture and stops you sweating on the stock foam cover. This fits over the top of the original, so is easy to install and remove.
The joystick covers are a nice addon, don’t really see the need for them, but they fit well and give the joystick a different texture so they’re easier to find when playing. Most useful part was the lense cover, this is a must have, nothing worse than scratching the lenses on your 400 headset.
I got this mostly for the silicon facial interface cover. The cover fits nicely and is comfortable on my face. A big upgrade over the stock interface, which tends to feel a bit scratchy over time and absorbs sweat. This one fits right over top of that and doesn’t absorb sweat and can easily be wiped off.
The eyepiece cover is good for keeping your lenses protected when not in use. Nothing fancy, just slips over the lenses to keep them clear of dust and debris (for the most part). It’s not a tight fit where it would completely seal out the lenses, but will protect them from sunlight and most particles. I didn’t find the joystick caps all that useful because I have no problem with the stock caps. If the stock caps got worn down, these would add some grip to them and I’m sure will protect that from happening if that’s a concern for you.
I’m only using the silicone facial interface from this set. It works well and is very comfortable, but it does require adjustment sometimes around the nose area, as it’s not 100% secure there. When it is adjusted properly there is zero light leakage.
Exactly as described by vendor, pics also accurate. If you perspire while playing this face cover certainly is a little cooler to wear while playing and easier to clean/wipe down if sharing with others. Fits ok. The lens protectors are a must have. The thumb grips fit well, but I would say this is personal preference. It improves the thumb grips, but I prefer the smooth finish.
I have had many VR headsets (vive, go, rift etc..) and sooner or later the lenses will become damaged. I wish I had had these before.
All in all, great products at a great price.
Decent value for money i would say, as when playing on the VR comfort is something that needs to be high up on your list of importance. Once installed found this nice and comfortable, even after an hour of playing.
The silicone cover is just ok – it’s not the greatest fit but does stop the foam from absorbing sweat. The main reason I ordered this was for the lense cover, which in my opinion is essential for VR headsets as it stops the sun from damaging the displays if someone opens the curtains etc. The lense cover is better than my previous one and just pops in and fits snuggly.
I also put the little silicone caps on the joysticks and they have a nice texture. I don’t think it makes much difference with or without them.
Overall this is an inexpensive upgrade and the lense cover is very handy.
While this may seem like a cheap and cheerful add on its is surprisingly good and one of those things you didn’t even know you needed till you try it.
Made from very soft silicone it is fairly easy to fit but takes a bit of finessing to get it spot on but once in its great.
Stops your headband absorbing sweat so more hygienic but also feels cooler and more comfortable on the skin.
It also blocks way more light, especially around the nose, so much so even in a very bright room there us virtually no light leaking in.
Not sure how long it will last but at this price I’ll get another.
Comes with thumbstick covers and a cover for the lenses, I don’t know why they bothered, lens cover is a very poor fit and should be binned.
Certainly an improvement over the covers that only protect the foam pad and don’t have a flap that covers the nose. This one covers both, providing a great way to protect against sweat while blocking out gaps that let in light. I did find it slipped off a bit around the bottom a few times when removing the headset, but not so much that it was an issue.
The cover for the lenses is basic, but works okay. The cap covers are a great addition and work brilliantly for a extra padding on the thumbs as well as protecting the top of the sticks.
For the price, it works as expected. A good product overall for the quest 3.
Playing games like Pistol Whip and Beat Saber are great for moving around, so having this silicone protector for my face mask was a great help in keeping my Quest 3 cleaner and my face a lot more comfortable. It’s easy to slip on and off as well as to clean. It also helps a lot with keeping the extra light out than just the standard face plate alone does. I don’t really need the lens protector, but it’s nice to have in either case, same with the caps for the controllers. Nice to have in case I want them, but I personally don’t find much benefit to them.
This is a review for the AIPINQI Meta Quest 3 Accessories, 3 in 1 Silicone VR Protective Case Set for Oculus Quest 3, Sweatproof Washable Lightproof Anti-Leakage, Face Pad Cushion, Lens Cover, Joystick Caps. Overall, this silicone protective mask is a nice little upgrade for the quest 3 in order to keep that fabric face cover from soaking in all that face juice and sweat on the more intense games. While the ad material does show that you *could* apply it by taking off the face plate, I’ve found it just as easy to just slip on as-is to the quest 3 and take off for the weekly washing/cleaning. The connective nose bridge does make a difference to other masks, as those without that connective piece can tend to flop around near the nose, which isn’t a huge deal but can feel a bit like a sock when you don’t have the seam aligned just right, so this mask fixes that issue.
The only downside I would say/or upside is that it does block light coming in from the nose area, so it’ll be more immersive to some, but to others who want to be able to peek down to see a keyboard or phone, it can be an issue. Overall though, would recommend!
Not the most incredible quality but the face cover is actually amazing. The nose light blocker works a little too good, I expected it to be irritating but I don’t notice it at all and I can no longer look up and gauge where I am in the room through the nose gaps (at all it is pitch black). Doesn’t detach or come loose at all (ensure you install correctly and locks into the bottom around the fabric pad), wore for several hours without face marks, holds in a lot of heat but better than alternative “breathable” covers that allow in light and people end up taping over the air vents. The lens cover is underwhelming but does the job to keep dust and my controllers in a bag from damaging the lenses. Thumbstick grips are useless and decreased the touch sensitivity and came off after moderate use to turn, DO NOT BUY FOR THUMBSTICK COVERS buy for the other accessories. Seems like a competitive price compared to buying items separate (at least on Amazon).
