Glad I found this on sale, the original strap is great for lying down, however when you need to raise the headset to glance around you quickly (i.e. computer screen or something smaller, as the resolution from the build in camera isn’t clear enough to see the words), the original strap can’t handle it. This head strap is great for that task as you can tilt it up and it’ll stay on your forehead like a sunglasses. the mechanism that tighten the hard strap on the side is great as well, makes taking off and putting it on a breeze, and it is quite comfortable (don’t over tighten it!).
Once you get the best placement with this strap, you can taken it off and put it back on and get to that position with a breeze, unlike the original strap.
Highly recommended to anyone that have a Quest 3.
Also this strap can be fit into a compact storage bag designed for Quest 3, however it is a quite tight, but it fits in without issues.
Really nice fit, using VR mainly for Sim Racing and I haven’t put the top strap on, which allows me to use my PC headphones without issues and so far it’s been working good without the top strap for racing and normal use
The item is actually quite good quality, sturdy enough plastic with good coloration. It fits & feels good. The only caveart is there is no padding at the pack, however it was not an issue and helps reduce the weight of the overall strap.

Aubika Orange Head Strap for Meta Quest 3 is 5 star quality build, fit, comfort, and color. It is the only headstrap I’ve tried where the ratcheting system works smoothly and flawlessly. In my experience most ratcheting systems begin to fail after a week of use.. either making loud clanking noises while turning or self retracting when let go of the dial. Kudos to Aubika for making such a high quality product.
Ultimately I am returning it as I need a battery system to extend play time. The Quest 3 only lasts 1.5hr on its own battery 🙁 for gaming.
I was using original ones all the way, but decided to buy this one to try. Original is too expensive, and I don’t want to overpay. It works better than original. Has all the minuses of the original, but because of the additional elements — bend in the middle, soft head support stripe, easier to remove, it is more comfortable to use. Recommend that.
