Although this is not made by a animal brnaded company (its made by Amazon), its a really tasty cat food so my cats say. They seem to like it as much as the other expensive and high profile foods around. Iys a pity these dont come in tins or plastic trays to be honest. I will buy this again as long as the cats keep loving it and its available.
I swapped to these (fish in jelly) from whiskas as it was just getting ridiculous to feed 3 cats. These pouches are 100g and you get 48 not 40 as well.
I have one very fussy cat and even he is happy to eat these, I’m not a big fan of the smell of them but no catfood smells great.
If you’re thinking of changing give these a go, it’s worth it.
Everything’s getting more expensive thanks to inflation, including pet ownership.
I switched from Felix “chunks in jelly” options to Amazon’s own brand of 100g sachet cat food.
My little furry overlord didn’t make a fuss about it. (YES!)
Amazon also makes a sachet option “chunks in gravy”, and I alternate to give him some variety.
His condition and menu approval remain as good as when I was using the pricier brand manufactured by Purina. I set up an automatic (free) Amazon delivery twice a month, so I don’t have to transport heavy cartons from the shops.
I recommend it.
Having been annoyed at the rip off prices of supermarket brand cat food and the fact that certain brands stink as if they are off, I have been on a quest to find something that A) doesn’t stink and B) doesn’t end up in the bin while my 4 cats meow in dissatisfaction at the menu. Believe me I’ve tried it all. Even a certain premium online brand which, while nice, I needed to take out a mortgage to afford. I decided to try this and yes!!!! They love it. Total silence while they ‘re chowing down except one who purrs loudly with happiness. I’ve took out a sub for mixed boxes. Please continue it.
Cat’s like it and 8 flavours to choose if you alternate between the 2 varieties of boxes. Only negative is at least 1, sometimes 2 of the sachets in a 24 pack are blown up with air and not product, or just have a dribble of jelly in the sachet!! Quality control needs tightening!!!
Our cat is 16 yrs old and very food fussy – but he loves this food – it is easily digested as he has a slight tummy problem but coped really well with this food – it even looks good when you tip the pouches out – price is brilliant to
At first they wolfed it down , then got a bit more fussy so I feed them this when they are hungry and then they clear the plate , good value as it’s 100g pouch and u get more sachets than the main brands . Still have to buy different products to keep cats from getting bored but so far so good
My cat used to be fed whatever I could get at the supermarket, until the prices started rising and the packaging changed from 100g to 85g.
I checked Amazon and came across this brand, formerly known as Lifelong. It is a decent nutritional value, higher meat content than brands such as Whiskas, Felix etc. The pouches are also 100g and you get 48 in a box. So for that reason I find the price fantastic.
My cat has one pouch a day, in the morning and has Gocat biscuits freely available to her. So these 48 pouches last her a good while, on subscription they’re even a bit cheaper too.
I would recommend this wet food to anyone looking for a decent food at a decent price.
I’ve bought loads of different cat food over the years but this for some reason is my cats favourite! They get so vocal and run around in circles pushing me out of the way to get to this food.
Does it looks like most other cat foods? Yep. But I’m not taste testing them to find out why. Ingredients seem clean: 40% meat/animal content the rest being minerals and sugars and moisture.
This is our new cat food. Ease with the subscription too!
So I’ve always stayed with popular brands for my cats but for the past few months to a year I have found that my cats are leaving plenty of meat over. I usually give half of a pouch each but give them more over the day. It saves waste, but never the less they are still leaving with leading brands, I decided to Amazons version a go well my cats loved them so I am sold now got my mum sister and brother buying them for their cats. Each pouch has 100g and 48 to the box, which most brands now have brought their quantities down with the amounts in each pouch has decreased also due to terrible shrinkflation but Amazon seems to be giving great quality with out having to decrease the amount in the food. Plus as I said my cats love it. The gravy has a dark rich colour to it which I would say even looks appetising to myself.
I still wonder why pouched food costs twice as much as canned despite using less metal. These ones keep the cost a bit lower than rivals by including a lot of water: the pouches feel sloppy and include more jelly and fewer chunks than the types I’m used to.
The amount of ‘meat’ isn’t ridiculously low though, and my cats love jelly so they don’t mind – they just leave less licked-clean solid dregs in the bottom of the bowl. If your cats have high nutritional requirements (growing, lactating, training for the 2AM Olympics…) then this might not be the best choice.
Great for the price but first time I got this I had one rather bloated pouch (I should not have opened it, the smell was horrendous). Not going to knock this though as I guess I was unlucky and have gone through two lots without finding any other that the packaging have failed on. I use as food for the visiting hedgehogs and love it.
