This product is great,the price is amazing,the build quality is fab,it does exactly what it says,I leave a chilled ready meal in for 50 mins to an hour while I am busy driving ECT ,come back and it’s the perfect temperature.It saves me money every day from buying expensive garage food.
I have only tried it with the normal plug, not the 24V for the car.
It warms up quite fast and it will keep the food warm for at least an hour after switching off.
Quite easy to clean and it does not spill.
Quite good quality for only 22, so quite pleased with it.
This electric lunch box is such a good idea! I didn’t know they existed until I saw this one. My husband plays in a band and often has to leave before we have dinner, so it’s great to be able to serve his up (we’ve mainly just used pasta dishes with it so far) and he can then have it heating/keeping warm in the car while he drives to the gig, ready to eat when he arrives (most of his gigs are about an hour away, so time-wise this works well).
We’ve had no leaks, the whole thing seems really well made and looks smart too.

I had no idea this kind of product existed but it’s really useful for either work (if you don’t have access to a microwave) and want hot food, or for picnics/travelling. It heats food well and is a nice, well made product. The product photos and descriptions are accurate and reflect what you get.
Great little gadget to keep your food warm in the car. Would recommend to drivers, couriers and anyone who would value a hot meal at lunch. Great innovation and great invention. Works well, high quality and looks nice too!
This is a great idea, it’s ideal for camping, or taking to work. This gives you the ability, to be able to keep food hot whilst on the move. Box yourself is made of plastic, will be heated element in the bottom. There’s a bottleneck so to tray you keep the bulk of your food. There’s in a secondary tray where you can place additional items but we’ll stay warm. The unit can run from 12 volt car system, the unit does pull quite a bit of power from the system, so it would not advise leaving it plugged in without the engine running, or connected to a Leisure battery. But overall a great bit of kit, to ensure you can have hot food when you need it on the go.
I tested it out with bolognese while I put my baby to bed. It had heated it up far quicker than anticipated which was brilliant…however as it felt like it was getting really hot and knew I wouldn’t be close by I chose to turn it off, close the vent and put it in the thermal bag.
I was probably up there for about an hour or so and when I came back down it was still warm, but not remotely as hot as it was when I left it. Now you can’t expect miracles so I was just happy to have a warm meal ready for me, but I would say just ensure you time it right and plug it in perhaps half an hour before you are due to eat it rather than in advance. It’s not amazing at retaining heat.
It’s built really well, easy to use and clean and comes with a separate tray to pop extras in. It also comes with a metal fork and spoon and car charger as well as normal plug.
For what’s included I’d say the price is fair for this item.
I ordered the electric lunch box for a dear friend who is always on the road, especially in the summer. I found it ideal for people who drive constantly for work or are working outdoors. The quality and materials are good, and a salad or fruit container is also included. I was excited about the fast heating function; however, it takes approximately 20 to 50 minutes for the food to warm up entirely. It helps if you add a splash of water and stir the food occasionally. I can only hope that it will last a while and that my friend will be able to have more than sandwiches during his prolonged driving around the UK.
So I wasnt expecting much from this and on arrival the lid did seem a bit flimsy.
It looses a lot of space for food due to the heater underneath but after actually using it I was surprised just how well it worked!
I put 15degrees food inside, closed the lid and switched it on.
Please make sure you open the air vent on the top otherwise the lid will deform and possibly burst.
After 32 minutes the light went off and I registered 76 with my food probe, after it cooled for 5 minutes the light came back on and kept the temperate up until I was ready to eat, I was shocked it worked so quickly and kept the temp up.
Only downside is the edges get hot so you wouldn’t be able to use it on your lapunless you put it back in the lined bag.
I found this most useful for heating my homemade pasta bakes or ready meals in. It’s only good if you want to heat all of your food in it to the same temperature. There is a smaller compartment for keeping stuff separate so enough to fit a small amount of salad or other cold foods in. It’s perfect for pasta bake and is easy to eat in around 20-30 minutes. Great treat for winter if your job involves working outside and away from normal appliances. Use the 12v car adapter no problem. The quality of the lunchbox is good, I can’t believe it’s less than 30 for what it does. Enjoy hot meals at work on the go! Recommend
I love the lunch box. nothing particularly special about really except it has an inbuilt heater.
It is a bit misleading 100W quick heating! It takes 30 minutes to warm the contents from cold so you need to plan in advance when you want to eat.
I tend to warm the food in the morning before I go out and then it is not so cold and takes less time to reach temperature when I plug it into the car. It also help to stir it every few minutes as it the ‘edges’ of the food warm a lot quicker the middle.
The Carsolt Electric Lunch is a fantastic product. Ordered for my son who works as a plumber throughout the city so is always on the go. The lunch box is made from food graded materials so perfectly safe. There is a compartment at the bottom with a capacity of 1.8L and a tray at the top with a capacity of 1.7L giving more than enough room for any lunch. There are 2 methods of heating your lunch depending on where you are. You are supplied with 2 different power cables , a110V/230V indoor cable with plug and ; a 12V/24V car adapter meaning you can have a hot lunch at the office or out in the car. Weather where I am just now is fairly reasonable with temperatures of around 13 degrees so I find my lunch is heated within around 20 mins although instructions do make it clear that in winter months or colder temperatures this time can take up to 50 minutes but I have been nowhere near this. Container is most certainly leak proof as we have used this for soup with no spills. Bottom compartment and upper tray are both removable making it really easy to clean. 25.99 at the time of the review and I find it a complete bargain.
Item arrives in a branded box which is suitable for gifting, this contains a thermal insulated outer bag, thermal lunch box, 0.7L plastic top tray, 1.7L stainless steel food container, spoon, fork, 12V power cable, 230V power cable.
The manufacture of this item is excellent, this is evident in the inclusion of the included outer bag which is a lovely item that could be sold independently, strong sturdy plastic is utilised throughout the lunch box and tray, the stainless steel base and food container also appear of a similar high standard.
Both trays can be detached to enable food to be added, both can therefore be washed following use, this is necessary as the main unit containing the base plate should not be washed, the unit incorporates some neat little touches that also provide a talking point if utilised in the workplace.
There’s a light indicator when powered on and a sliding power input that can accommodate the two included power supplies dependent on the access currently available, there’s a nice seal in the lid and the top section utilises a four sided clip lock system.
In practice the device performs well, taking around 30 to 40 minutes to heat the food i tested it with, unfortunately this is where i personally have my issues as to use, not everyone nowadays has a standard
one hour lunch break and i certainly don’t, which makes this item of little use for those who like me only get 30 minutes for lunch as it won’t perform the heating process in time.
This item is however suitable for use whilst on the road in the car or truck, via the cigarette adapter socket and it could prove useful for some whilst at home too, however i’d consider the portability when out to be it’s biggest selling point, therefore this product is great for those who still have an hour for their lunch break or who are constantly on the road.
