I absolutely love this Chase Grapefruit Pomelo gin. And was so delighted to find I could order it on Amazon UK! It came to me in the states super quick and very well packaged.
I got this Chase GB on offer for 20. It’s definitely worth that – but I’m sure not I would pay the full price.
It’s smooth and pleasant tasting – as nice as any other gin at the 20 price mark, but, for me, at 28 (full price) there are nicer gins – Eden Mill, the Botanist, and Sipsmith, and probably others.
forget all the other brands, Chase Gin and Vodka are the best out there.
The Orange flavour Gin is also awesome and the vodka is proper Kind Edward Potato Vodka which is ridiculously smooth – I drink it neat!
Oh dear! I am hooked!! This is a beautiful gin. A definite pink grapefruit flavour that is clean & fresh. There is a very slight oiliness. I say that in a good way, I can’t explain, but you will see (or maybe its just me).
What it isn’t – sweet & sickly, scented with no actual flavour, or like any other grapefruit gin. (It is not the same as having normal gin & grapefruit tonic either).
I have bought many bottles of this – for myself & others. I would say, If you like grapefruit & you have never enjoyed flavoured gins, just be brave & try this one. IT IS GORGEOUS.
The best flavoured gin I have ever bought. The taste is refreshing and you can taste the grapefruit which is beautiful. Plus Amazon sell it at a great price. All Gin drinkers need this on their collection.
Ordered this for my citrussy Gin obsessed fiance! He absolutely loved it. It smelt and tasted so much like pink grapefruit, it was gorgeous!
Beautiful bottle and very good value for money. I’ve paid a lot more for this exact Gin before
…… drink this! Other than Whitby Gun, I’ve yet to find a gin that can beat this one for smoothness and taste. Utterly sublime!
A bottle of this doesn’t last too long in our house once opened so we always get a spare.
This was bought as a gift for a gin buff who enjoys sampling different brands and flavours. It was good value in an attractive bottle and I’m sure it’ll go down well.
I am definitely a gin girl and usually stick to a plain one. I ordered this as a change and I am so glad I did! It’s a great quality gin, fresh, zingy and zesty and comes in a lovely looking bottle. If your looking for a change with a fresh difference from all the other variations out there or, a great gift (lads, order a Swarovski gin glass from the Diamant store on Amazon with real crystals to go with it – your lass will love you!) this gin is it! The price is great and I will be ordering this on repeat. Chase Farm – love you guys! Hope this helps. Donna x
Mixed with pink grapefruit tonic and it tastes like summer. Crisp and refreshing. Slides down a bit too easily, which is a bit dangerous. Looks gorgeous in the glass.
I make a lovely pink grapefruit sorbet using grapefruit juice and sugar. Usually I add vodka to it (to stop it completely freezing) but this will be an ideal alternative instead.
It is quite expensive but that’s the demand for gin these days. Especially such a pretty one!
I managed to snag it when it was on offer – around the 30 mark. It’s an absolutely wonderful refreshing drink with very natural flavour and works very well with standard fever-tree tonic. However, at full price (nearer 40) it just seems a bit much. I could maybe get behind it if it had a higher ABV of around 47-48% although even then I think 35 would be pushing it.
This gin would be in my regular rotation if it was under 30 as it really is one of the best ones. That being said, there are some gems out there which pack more of a punch, for a more pocket-friendly cost such as No. 3 and even Tanqueray Rangpur.
Highly recommended, but not at full price!
I have recently discovered gin and all the complexities (formerly a bit of a cognac connoisseur).
Having sampled over two dozen of what are considered to be the best gins, I keep coming back to this one. Don’t be too swayed by gin reviews as when it comes to gin, the taste is very subjective and a gin I like will taste disgusting to someone else.. Just try them yourself.
The reason I like this one is it has probably got what I would think of as the most classic gin taste. It has a very distinct flavour and I think very strong coriander and juniper overtones. I’ve tried with several versions but most like a G & T made with plenty of homemade cracked ice, fever tree tonic and garnished with a couple of strands of real Spanish saffron (don’t skimp) and a green cardamom pod (worth dry heating in a frying pan to help release some of the oils).
After a little while, the saffron infuses and slightly colours the liquid.
Other excellent gins in order of preference are – Berry Bros No 3 (another classic), Tanquery no 10 (similar to No 3), Martin Millars (very floral, the wife likes it with Elderflower) and finally, Gin Mare (although this one is TOTALLY different to any other Gin you will taste (made with olives, rosemary, sage, etc.!).
