The controller connects perfectly and it comes with a lot of customizable settings and colors. The buttons are very smooth and the controller is good quality, however, I did notice the 4 buttons on the right side of the controller do make a somewhat loud clicking sound. So that’s something to keep in mind if that sort of thing bothers you. Feels good in hand, better life is good, and the coloured lights are really fun and add to the enjoyment of using this over my standard controllers.

5.0 out of 5 stars I use this now over my branded controlle

Got this controller for my 10 years old son and he love it. He play ps4 games and he says this controller it’s lightweight, easy to use and comfortable to hold. Everything works perfectly. Great quality and value for money. Highly recommended

Great wireless game controller. I got this to use with my PS4 and it was quick and easy to pair up. I loved the lighting on the handset and it looks great. You can select a colour from the various options, to either suit your mood or to differentiate one controller from another if you’re playing with a few of your mates. The charge time says it takes about 3 to 4 hours, but I tend to just charge it up overnight if I’m planning on using it. The product description on the Amazon page is contradictory as one thing states it has 6 hours of battery life, while another says 16! I’m not one of those gamers who has the time or stamina for even 6 hours so this wouldn’t be a problem for me, if that’s the case. Weight wise, it did feel slightly heavier than the official PS4 controller. My only real negative would be that the controller is completely smooth all over, whereas the official controller has a textured underside, which I personally think, makes it more comfortable to hold and easier to grip, than this controller. Overall though I’m pleased.

4.0 out of 5 stars I’m in control

So, first things first – i rather like this. It has lights that run round the body that I really like, along with the transparent casing. I like lighty up things. The controls are also good – the buttons feel OK as do the joysticks. A bit less good is the size of it. it feels pretty big in your hand, and not as comfortable to hold as the original controller. but it’s loads cheaper. So i have this as my back up controller, used when I am playing with others. But it’s not my day to day. But for the money – pretty good.

I just paired this like any official controller by plugging it into the PS4 for a couple of seconds and that was it fully set up and ready to play.

To me, it’s just as comfortable and ergonomic as an official dual shock. The finish is more smooth and it doesn’t have the dimpled areas around the back that my official controllers do, though. I’ve put in a few gaming hours with it and to be honest I just forgot all about what controller I had in my hand. The buttons are all in the right place, it responds as it should and does as it should.

With regards extra features, there is an RGB button that cycles through different light modes, so you can pick a colour, have it cycling or switch it off. Then there are the macro buttons. The instructions are not very well translated here, but it’s easy to record your button presses. The controller has managed to put the macro buttons in a spot that’s just as handy and ergonomic as the rest of the PS4 buttons. You hold them down to record and similarly to play back. I fired up a retro game of Galaxians and recorded me moving around the screen for a few seconds, then just played the recording back on a loop. Infuriatingly, the recording lasted longer before being blown up than I had playing for real. The blind, looping, repetitive moves were dodging neatly between missiles and alien dive-bombers all over the screen so if anyone says macros don’t make you play better they are wrong.

I thought I read that Sony was going to clamp down on third party controllers with macros, but then again maybe not since more recently I read that they got into trouble for abusing their market dominance when they tried.

Overall, I like this controller every bit as much as my official ones, while my youngest prefers it over them.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great replacement controller.

comfortable controller, the lights are nice and can be turned off if you prefer.

The macro buttons are easy to configure on the fly

I use it as a spare controller so it won’t get that much use, no point spending loads on a genuine controller.

Only difference i noticed with this and a genuine controller was the sticks seem to have a larger deadzone, i’m not sure if this is down to the design of the sticks, and will mean longer lasting sticks, with less drift.

I ordered this for my son, and this is his review.

In comparison to an official ps4 controller, this one definitely feels cheaper, not to say that it’s bad quality, and in fact I actually prefer it to the official one. It’s closer in shape to a Switch Pro controller (my preferred form factor) , but the button and joystick placement is for a ps4 (my preferred layout), so it’s actually ideal for me.

I do however have two issues, the first being that it’s standby timer is too short, I’m playing a story focused game with it and I have to keep pressing buttons during cutscenes or reconnect the controller at the end of each one. Luckily it doesn’t go into standby when wired and I’m close enough to my pc that a wire isn’t in the way.

The other issue is the lights, the ones around the edge of the controller, while quite distracting, can be turned off if you cycle through the different light settings, but I haven’t found a way to turn off the light around the touch pad (which is also a thing with official controllers, but it’s on the top not the back and a lot brighter with this controller).

I own both official ps4 and switch pro controllers, and while I think that they’ll outlast this one, I actually prefer it over them.

Customizable lighting options allow users to personalize the controllers to match their gaming ambiance or mood. The inclusion of RGB LED lights not only serves an aesthetic purpose but also enhances the gaming atmosphere, creating an immersive environment that complements the on-screen action.

This custom PS4 controller really enhances the gaming experience with its premium design and extra features. Right away, the high quality materials like the textured grips and metallic D-pad buttons catch your eye. It has a great heft and feels solid and durable.

The joystick and triggers have a tight, responsive feel thanks to the Hall Effect sensors. I noticed immediately how accurate and smooth my aiming and acceleration were in FPS games. The vibrant RGB lighting is also a nice touch, adding immersion when playing.

Connecting the controller to my PS4 was quick and easy via Bluetooth. The rechargeable battery lasts for around 4 hours per charge. I haven’t had any connection dropouts or latency issues.

The only negative is lack of rumble motors for haptic feedback. However, the premium materials and responsive, accurate controls more than make up for it in my opinion. This is a great custom option for the price compared to more expensive controllers.

If you want an eye-catching, comfortable PS4 controller that performs as good as it looks, this one hits the mark. The high end features like Hall Effect sensors give it an edge. Overall, a great upgrade over the standard DualShock 4.

It has been a while since I’ve used a 3rd-party controller for any of my consoles, so I wasn’t 100% sure what to expect, but I am actually very surprised at how nice this one is.

It feels as good quality as my old PDP controller. Perhaps slightly better.

The lights look nice, you can turn them off to extend the battery life too although I haven’t found that to be a problem.

The buttons all feel relatively good, different to a genuine controller but not necessarily worse.

My main test was with Gran Turismo 7. After a few minutes I was able to set lap times on par with the times I set with a DS4, it took a little bit to get used to the different feel, but I think I’ll honestly use this controller quite a lot.

    I really have no complaints.

I’m pleasantly surprised by this Ps4 controller. Its aesthetically pleasing to the eye, with its translucent body, so you can see the inner components, finished off with the RBG light controls around the edge area of the controller. Just pair the controller to the console via the included USB-C to USB-A cable, and this cable as you would imagine charges the internal 800mAh lithium-ion battery via the console or another USB outlet. The RGB colour options can be changed to suit via the central small button on the rear of the controller. Also on the rear of the controller you have four additional buttons ML-SL and MR-SR which are programmable and can be mapped to different in game settings which is really good. Tactile feedback from the buttons are of a good level, and the overall experience while gaming is positive and doesn’t disappoint.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good all round gaming performance.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUpdate:
After playing with it for a bit longer on a few different games, I’ve been hovering between 3* and 4* because of the issues I’ve had with the diagonals. However, given the build quality and the price, I think it’s worth 4*. It does depend on the kind of game you’re intending to play, but playing GTAV, I could control things quite easily with this. I’d imagine a game like FIFA would require more precise control over the exact diagonals and perhaps wouldn’t be as suitable for this controller.

    Original review:
The video goes into much more detail, including an overview of what you get and the performance in-game.

    However, in a nutshell:

    Things I liked:

+ The overall build quality actually feels really good.
+ Almost zero dead zone on the analogue sticks and they are very sensitive, very responsive and work brilliantly.
+ The buttons feel solid, responsive and well-made. I don’t see them failing any time soon, although as I’ve only just received the product, I can’t tell you what the durability will be like in the long term.
+ The RGB lighting is fun and easy to change or turn off if you want to save battery.
+ Works great with a PC as well as a PS 4 over both wired USB and wireless Bluetooth.

    Things I didn’t like:

    – The D-pad was not quite good enough – hitting diagonals was extremely inconsistent (See the video for what I mean by this)
    – The diagonals are somewhat suspect on the analogue sticks too.

    Do I recommend it?

As long as you don’t have much need for the D-pad, or more specifically, diagonals on the D-pad, yes. For 28 I think this is very well made and feels great. However, the D-pad does let it down and if you think you’re going to be using the D-pad you may want to spend a little more on an official controller.

For my granddaughter as her 2 Sony controllers have got Stick Drift, i got this much cheaper alternative to see if it was any good, and she likes it.
Its made well with not much difference in texture and feel from the originals but a slight difference in shape, does the usual things just as good too and also has extra customisable buttons underneath which we have not tried yet, a decent battery life and connected ok.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is packaged well and comes with a USB to USB C cable to connect it to your console and charge it. It also has a little manual with it, but I doubt you’ll need it as it’s very straightforward.

I plugged it into my console and hit the home button and it connected right away, lighting up automatically. There were no connection issues or delays in response, it’s all super quick and easy.

It feels comfortable to hold, I like how smooth the case is and it fits nicely in your hand. The buttons don’t have the same symbols as any official controller but that’s not a problem, you’ll quickly get used it as they are all still where you would expect, plus there’s a few extra on the back which I assume are for if you use a different console or PC.

The look of this controller is what really sets it apart, the colourful light is bright and clear and the colours are all vibrant and distinct, much more than I’d have assumed! There is a small button on the back that clicks through light options – you can choose to stay on your favourite colour or have one of the colour cycling options which have varying speeds. I am fond of the slow transition personally.

I will be keeping an eye on whether these pretty lights have an effect on the battery life, but so far haven’t noticed any issues with it.

**Edited to add ** after some more use (only about 1 day) I have noticed that there is drift on the left analogue and some of the buttons ‘stick’ slightly, which isn’t a huge problem for casual use but might be a problem if you play more competitively or some games that may punish any discrepancies like this, and also causes any videos or shows you are watching to rewind periodically which is a bit annoying, so I have unfortunately dropped a star. It’s still really nice looking, and if you aren’t playing anything too precise then it should be fine still, but bare that in mind.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great looking but has drif
