Dash Cam Front and Rear, Dash Cam Dual 1080P FHD Dashcam W
Dash Cam Front and Rear, Dash Cam Dual 1080P FHD Dashcam W/ 64GB Card Car Camera Dash Cam 170°Wide Angle Dash Camera 3″ IPS Screen W/Night Vision Parking Mode Motion Detection G-sensor Loop Recording
This is a great mid-range dash cam and brilliant for beginners who don’t want to faff about buying loads of additional accessories and just want to get started up quickly. This is because this package by SGONTONG includes both a front and a rear camera and an SD card, making it great value for money as other dash cam providers require you to buy an SD card separately. It also includes a USB adapter in this package so I could insert the SD card into the computer for footage review for a price of 49.99 at the time of reviewing this is a steal.
So, you’re probably wondering how well this dash cam performs.. I’ve found the picture on the camera itself to be very clear. Number plates for nearby cars are legible, which proves useful. Additionally, signage and markings on the road are defined on the picture. Night vision works well and it can record the road conditions well even with no street lights to illuminate. When reviewing footage on the computer, I found that the footage captured was of a decent resolution. I have uploaded some screenshots of this. Personally, I set the camera up to record in 5 minute clips and the cam did exactly what I wanted it to do. It’s easy to view and transfer the footage on your laptop.
Unfortunately, one poor element with this camera is that during playback, audio from the microphone is poor quality – it picks up every movement and amplifies it, so there’s a lot of rustling and background noise. Regardless, you can still hear talking and I believe the cam would serve its purpose to capture evidence during an incident.
The battery life on the dash cam is effective and has been great for me. I just charge it in the car once during my commute and it lasts me until the same time the next day.
The box came with most of the tools you need to install the cameras and to ‘hide’ the cables. I found this very useful, as it helped make setting up the camera a lot easier. Overall, setting up the camera was simple when following the provided instructions. Setting up the rear camera is a little trickier, I advise that you make sure this is the right type of camera you need for your car.
Comparing this to other dashcams — I like that this one does not get hot when using, it stays cool – even on long journeys. Additionally, there’s no need to buy a polarising lens for this. The picture is fine and I haven’t experienced any glare/reflections ruining the image.
Overall, I’ve given this 4/5 stars. This camera packs a lot of features for its price and it does the job as expected. However, it does lack some of the more advanced features and the microphone performance could be improved. Additionally, I found that I had to format the card every time I inserted it, so that was a bit of an inconvenience. You’ll have to ensure you backup any videos you want before putting the same SD back into the dash cam.
I was very pleased with this front and rear Dash Cam. The front and rear view angle is wide enough, has clear video footage, the night vision performance is good, and it literally takes minutes to install and set up. I have been using it for nearly a month now, and it’s been a reliable companion, and worked as described. The build quality is solid, the design is sleek, and I am very happy with it. Good value for the money and is a great investment. I would definitely recommend it.
This isnt the sleekest or the best looking dashcam being built more like an old school brick however, it does the job well enough and is a good budget option.
Cables and mounts are supplied and it is easy-ish to set up the front camera – the instructions are a little poor and look like they have been translated from Chinese and not very well. The rear camera needs to be wired in and I had to get my mechanic to do that as I couldnt do it myself.
Images and video supplied are decent quality and certainly enough if needed to use for evidence if there is an incident.
For the price its a budget friendly option that will meet most peoples needs
You could spend a fortune on a dash cam but if you want something reliable that works well then you can’t go too far wrong with this.
Cables and mount are supplied and it’s relatively easy to set up, although the instructions aren’t always the clearest. Something has definitely been lost in the translation!
The dash-cam itself has an old school digital camera feel to it. It won’t win any awards for style in that sense but it is perfectly ok. Records video and audio to a good enough quality to be able to use it if the need arises for anything,
Comes with a rear camera too but that needs wiring up so could create a bit of clutter in the car.
All in all if you just want a decent dash-cam that works well and gives you peace of mind then you can’t really go wrong with this.
This camera set has been a good addition to my car and I have decided to take it because last week when I was driving a car suddenly cut me off and the situation was quite stressful so for that reason it was the right time to get a dashcam.
The front and rear cameras are easy to install and it requires too much experience because I followed the steps provided in the user manual and they provide a clear 1080p and the advantages that they provide a 170 degrees view which allows me to see the road better.
The camera comes with 64 card which was a nice bonus and installing it took only a couple of seconds and the other friendly interface was very simple to start recording straight away. The wide angle lenses ensure that all the important areas are covered and this gives me the piece of mind that nothing can be missed.
What also I considered to be quite important is the ability of this camera to do loop recording which means that I don’t have to empty the memory card because the new recordings go on top of the old ones.
The dash cam stayed properly on the windscreen of my car and even though sometimes I write on very bumpy roads I didn’t see that it changed this position which is great.
This camera set is a great investment because it helps me to know that just in case something will happen on the road I have the video as proof which helps me with my car insurance.
Dash Cam Front and Rear, Dash Cam 1080P Full HD Car Camera Dash Cam W/ 64GB Card Dashcam 170Wide Angle Dash Camera 3″ IPS Screen W/Night Vision Parking Mode Motion Detection G-sensor Loop Recording
At the time of review this budget dash cam is priced at 49.99 with a 40% off discount voucher and a further 15% off with a promo code.
That makes this just over 25 for a decent 2 camera bundle.
The main dash cam you receive is an all plastic construction for the housing which makes it feel a little cheap but apart from that you’re actually getting a decent little budget camera.
It has a decent image quality, both day time and night modes produce great results.
The small screen is perfectly adequate and easy to read when setting up and reading the menu options etc, plus it’s perfectly decent for seeing what the lens is seeing while you drive. You can view recordings in camera or connect to your PC with the included USB lead.
The function buttons are around the side edges of the camera with their purposes being printed next to them on the rear of the camera so it’s easy to find what button you require when the cam is fitted.
Setting up is easy and the camera is effectively ready to go as soon as you turn it on and it immediately starts to record your journey. A 64gb Micro SD card is included so all recordings are saved. It works via loop recording which means it will start to over write previous recordings automatically once the card is full, although you can still take screenshots and save recordings when needed. An auto collision detection mode with save a recording if you have an accident, regardless of current recording mode.
There are 2 mounts included and I opted for the more reliable suction cup option, which solidly sticks to your windscreen with a powerful button twist suction method.
The camera is powered by the included cigarette lighter adapter which has a USB-C input and a very long lead which means it can be easily positioned anywhere on your windscreen. The adapter has a USB input on the top so you can use another device while the camera is plugged in, like a phone charging lead etc.
As a bonus you also get a small rear camera which plugs directly into the main dash cam. This requires a bit more work to install which I’ve not yet done but have tested it and it works fine, picture quality wise at least. All fitting and connectors are included.
You can view each camera independently on the main dash cam screen with a simple button press.
The main camera has plenty of options available and the comprehensive manual will guide you through everything you need to know.
I’ve used cheap dash cans before and have had varying results from them, most negative. This one so far has been nothing but positive and I’m really impressed with it.
Yes it looks a bit cheap but it works well and that’s the most important thing. Once it’s fitted to your windscreen then it doesn’t matter what it feels like or what it’s made from, it’s doing what it’s designed to do and from tests so far it does everything well.
If you’re after a budget dash cam with added rear cam then this is definitely a viable option to consider.
This product was sent to me to review, as part of Amazon Vine. Below is my own real-world experience of using it.
In terms of quality, the main camera appears to be well-made – the construction is pretty robust, whilst maintaining a lightweight and compact design, which means that the device holds steady, once mounted in place. There are a number of controls on the back that are easy to understand, and can be used to quickly change settings, as required.
I found it very easy to set up and use. The instructions were a little bit of a challenge to get through, but, I took my time, and got there in the end. I recorded several short bursts of footage during a drive, then transferred them to my laptop, to review. There were no issues accessing the video – the included micro SD card was accepted, with the stored files having a recognisable format that enabled them to be played back straight away. It was possible to clearly identify registration plates, and everything else was shown in a high level of detail.
In summary, it is a good, budget kit that might be handy for the situations in which it is needed. Recommended.
Looking for a reliable and easy-to-use dash cam system? This dual camera setup with a touchscreen monitor might be just what you need!
Great for New Dash Cam Users:
If you don’t already have a dash cam, this is a perfect starter kit.It comes with everything you need to get started, including two cameras,a touchscreen monitor, mounts,a memory card,a USB reader, and even the tools for installation.
Double the Coverage:
The dual camera setup is a great feature. You get a 170-degree wide-angle view of the road ahead and a 140-degree view of what’s happening behind you. This gives you a comprehensive record of your journey in case of an accident.
This dual dash cam system is a solid choice for anyone looking for an easy-to-use and affordable way to add some extra security and peace of mind to their driving experience. The dual cameras provide excellent coverage, the touchscreen monitor is convenient, and the included accessories make installation a breeze. While the storage capacity isn’t massive,it should be enough for most users
A decent piece of kit which does the job but the following comments should be considered:
* Changing angle on camera mount is very stiff
* Included is an additional camera for rear facing recording. But it requires a wire to be run from front of car to the rear mounted camera.
* All cables and mounts required included.
* The Camera comes with 64GB memory card.
* The Instruction booklet needs some interpretation as the translation is not always easy to follow.
I think if you approach this product with low expectations you will be pleased. It’s cheap at 50.
The positives
– good value
– easy to install
– it works well
– good quality picture
– records audio and video
– rear parking sensors if you install with the supplied wiring
– hard wire and ciggy lighter install options
Negatives
– looks like a early technology digital camera (not very subtle)
– feels a little cheap
– motion detection only works from front camera
– operating system on camera is a bit clunky
– instructions are typically poor English
– says don’t install in direct sunlight, which seems odd as it’s a dash cam!
All in all a good entry level dash cam to test the water and see if you like having one on the car.
At roughly 30 with the 40% voucher at time of review this is solid value for money. Build quality and features is not as good as the more expensive items out there like Garmin but the price is excellent and so far in my experience it is still working well. I installed it in my daughter’s Corsa with no drama and overall she is very happy with it. No issues so far and happy with it.
A very easy to mount in car the front and rear cameras. Peel, stick, and attach cameras. The wire from rear is easily concealed behind and under rear seat and carpet.
Cameras can plug I to 12v socket or be wired directly into vehicle fuse box. My car has four fuse boxes, but it was easy enough to look up with box and which number in it. Has a wide 180 degree field of recording. Cameras record on loop. Card is large enough for 24+ hours of Video files. Protect yourself from the fake crash for cash as can prove with video, not your fault!
HD is such very good image quality to see, read number plates, and other minor details.
This is a fairly reasonable quality dash cam. It comes with a camera for the front and the rear of the car.
includes 64gb memory card
includes night vision
loop recording
parking monitor
includes user manual
My partner set this up in his car easily within 10 minutes.
Hes actually really impressed with how good the cameras are, all the bits in comes with.
He guessed triple the price because he just thinks its so good.
Comes with everything you need
1080P FULL HD Cameras inc night vision.
Good piece of kit if you don’t already have a dashcam or in car monitor.
You get 2x CAMS. 170 deg front & 140 deg rear, 1x touch screen monitor, mounts, 64gb Class 10 U3 memory card and USB reader plus tools. You can suction cup or stick on the parts. And 64gb is the max supported (6Hr cont REC)
You can playback on CAM, PC with usb cable or its card with the USB reader.
The screen is only 3 inches (diagonally of course) but better than nothing I suppose. You can have both cam views showing simultaneously also.
Parking Monitoring – 10sec REC or you can purchase a separate hardware kit for the 24hr recording vigil.
G-Sensor – It detects a collision and auto locks and doesn’t get overwritten even on loop recording, (although you can manually change this I believe.)
Easy to install if you know what you’re doing with a bit of routing. The front cam needs an external power supply (Cig Lighter Skt or hard wire it to the fuse board 3.5M), and you have to connect the rear cam to front cam’s AV-IN. At the rear CAM position, you have a red which must be connected (Spliced or a tap) to your reverse lamp’s positive cable for the reverse parking guide function to work correctly and show the lines.
The build isn’t impressive. The plastic parts are cheap and nasty and also the metal rear light mount.
It’s worth all its money.
This is a pretty good dashcam. The camera quality is excellent, and set-up was a breeze. It may seem expensive, but it comes with a 64 GB micro SD card preinstalled which is usually around 10 on its own. It also includes a USB micro SD card reader which is a great addition and very useful for viewing the footage on a computer. The only thing I noticed was that the microphone quality isn’t great, however, this doesn’t really matter as I only care about the video footage.
This comes with everything you need to install and use – including a 64mb memory card!
At this price I wasn’t expecting much at all but was pleasantly surprised!
The item is quite small and easy to fit into your car. I don’t have the expertise to hardwire it to my cars battery or entertainment screen but it works fine.
Pictures are pretty clear especially considering the price.
There’s no Wi Fi option but Bluetooth works very well.
In in all a good performer at a budget price!
Easy to install and use. Fab picture quality, sturdy when attached. Item arrived very well packed, so excellent start, perfect size and more important top quality looks and feels great , for the price can’t fault it, 10 out of 10 from me very happy indeed and would purchase agai
I’ve owned an expensive high street brand dash cam and compared to that, this does the job really well. The high street one actually broke down on me within a few years. Where as the simplicity of this camera that does exactly what you want without the extra features like bluetooth and mobile connectivity means it should just work and shouldn’t really go wrong. It’s completely offline and works straight out of the box. Comes with absolutely everything you need, 64 GB micro SD card, USB micro SD card reader, cable tidy clips, 3M stickers, wipes, mounts, charger, cables etc. No set needed, install the camera in the car and it just works. The optional rear camera simply plugs into the main camera and the display picks it up straight away. It does optionally allow you to wire it into the reverse car lights, this means the camera display automatically switches into reverse view. I didn’t do this for the little gain as I’m not an electrician and this seemed very daunting. However I wished they gave you a cable that didn’t have the reverse light wiring attached as it means I’d a really long unused cable hanging off the rear camera. The installation suggests drilling a couple of holes to mount the rear camera which I wasn’t keen on either. For the main camera it does come with a couple of mounts, a suction one and one that you stick to the window. The product comes with quite detailed literature which is thoughtful. Surprisingly impressed with the main camera, night vision works well too. Only downside is I would have liked the rear camera to have a simpler mount via suction or 3M stickers and the option to do away with wiring into the reverse lights.
Easy to install and seems reliable. Has a tool to help installation and the recordings are of reasonable quality. Would recommend as a standard cheaper option, I have no issues with using this
This dash cam comes with both front and rear cameras, allowing you to record footage from both ends of your vehicle, which is useful for roadrage incidents and accidents etc. Both front and rear camera have a resolution of 1080p. Installing both the cameras was easy, although it took a bit of time to get the wire for the rear camera routed neatly through to the back of the car; they supply a tool to help you poke the wire behind the trim.
It’s easy to set the unit up, and the instruction manual is pretty thorough. My one gripe is having to use the cigarette lighter rather than being able to hardwire it straight onto the battery.
A 64GB memory card is included to store footage recorded. There’s no Bluetooth or WiFi, so the only way to view the footage is on the unit itself, or taking the card out and plugging it into a computer.
For a budget camera it ticks all the boxes.
Really good camera if you’re on a budget. It’s pretty simple to set up and doesn’t require 100 different applications and Bluetooth etc. it’s pretty standard and not over complicated! Exactly what you want from a budget camera. Pretty sturdy and not too big . A great piece of kit for anyone wanting a dash cam
If you are after a no-nonsense dash-cam that just works and gets on with it’s job every time you drive, then this is a great value option. Installing the front camera is a breeze – the rear camera is a little more involved as you need to neatly route the cable, but the supplied tool is great for prying back rubber trim. Love that you can turn off the audio so that you are not caught calling some a nincompoop on the recording.
It’s what the camera hasn’t got that makes this a little belter. No bluetooth, no wifi, no app control, no hands free calls, no GPS, no media player and no touch screen. What that leaves is a camera that does a cracking job of what it’s supposed to do, with 40% off at the time of writing. The picture quality in normal light for a camera of this price is superb. The files are best viewed on a pc or tablet. I couldn’t get the card to register on my fremax 11 but had no problem on the pc. There is an email address for support regarding any problems. Well impressed with the video quality. Doesn’t only do videos (with/without sound) but also stills. Playback of both can be done on device as is locking or deleting files. Umpteen settings to tweak and play with should you be a tinker. Sorry, tinkerer. Although the instructions say to format the card before use I found everything seems to be set up to record from the start, Noice. However you still have to do date and time. There’s five levels of manually adjusted exposure levels allowing for various lighting conditions eg night time, dull etc. Option to mute mike whilst recording too. Comes with a multitude of cables to connect it to your devices and a multitude of mounts, stickers and suckers to stick it where you can. Haven’t tried the reversing camera yet, got to find a permanent home for it.
I doubt you’d find a better camera for the money at this moment. It’s the quality of the picture that makes this cracking. Haven’t been out in the dark yet to see how it performs. The dark and cameras don’t generally go together but i’m not that bothered about that. In the event of a claim/accident the insurance companies/powers that be have the technology to enhance the video. I think it is a tremendous buy. So much so I’m off to play Car Crash TV.
