Brilliant as I loved watching this grown up dvd are all gd . Reason for a 4 star is the case horrible all disc ram in to a small case , disc u would think would be colour coding like blue for session 1 green 2 etc nope . But I will buy a cd holder which with address this issue so
It’s super nostalgic, much cheaper new on amazon than it was secondhand, couldn’t even find it elsewhere. However- the case is actually a nightmare to get discs in and out of which feels like they’re going to snap and I had some discs fall out, both in transit and when I put them in myself- easily resolved by putting them in sleeves/ better empty cases.
Nostalgia and the classic aspect ratio is 10/10 though, and covers everything up until Digimon Data squad, which this doesn’t include unfortunately.
a great set the picture and sound quality is very good.
there are no extras just episodes and that’s it all English dubbed. no hard of hearing subtitles.
while not major the tamers season the audio track is listed as Japanese when it’s English.
yet other seasons audio listed as English
season 2 the y7 TV japanese TV square does linger a bit but does go after the episode title on screen.
my main issue with the set is how the discs are packaged there are 32 discs but they rest on top each other in sections on a spindle and if not removed carefully could risk creating a crack in the centre of the disc.
soon as I bought it I moved the discs to a cd wallet.
overall a great set for the price for 205 episodes.
Great to be able to rewatch my favourite childhood show, season 1 and 2 are what I wanted. But may rewatch 3 and never actually seen season 4. Shame its on dvd as quite a few disc’s but then not much point in it been on blu ray (apart from space saving) unless if they remaster, which i doubt they will now they have rebooted it.
Decent collection and good quality dvds, but beware when ordering this your product will definitely arrive damaged. Amazon did an amazing job packing the two inch thick dvd collection in a cardboard sleeve. All the corners are cracked, not beyond function but that’s not the point. Product good, Amazon packing team bad.
I bought the set the other year mainly for Adventure but it is nice to own the other seasons in one box set just to go with it.
The quality of the video isn’t that great and it is time that Toei-Anime did a remaster of the English dub. Seeing how places like Germany has It just amazes me why the English dub hasn’t got a blu-ray release yet.
I heard they are going out of print so I would buy a copy while you can otherwise you may end up paying scalpers prices for it.
Very awkward box set as the discs are piled on top of each other.
Once you master the method of taking them out without snapping them in half though, you have yourself a pretty sweet dvd collection!
doesn’t look like i remember it from my childhood memories. Still nice to watch but the quality of the image isn’t always very sharp.
