The camera is really good.
Nice pictures, reasonable sound, really easy set up.
I am able to check on my puppies by the app.
Only downside if is power cut, have yo reset the camera.without resetting, will not work.
Other than that is brillia
Easy to set up via the app which you download. I wanted to replace an old indoor camera which we use to watch our dogs when we are out. This is a great camera and much clearer and better colours than the one it replaced
I did send it back as once connected to the app the movement was a bit fiddly and it will only seem to me to connect to a 2.4g Internet. Mine is 5g so it would match up so had to teather from my phone. Hence why I sent it back.
Just check your broadband had 2.4g available and should be OK.
I bought this to watch my puppy while I’m out. I’ve been through 2 other brands of camera and both had big flaws so was returned. This camera however is excellent. Image quality is fantastic, alerts work flawlessly, Ai features work well and all this without needing a subscription.
I do have 2 little niggles with the camera though hence 4 stars. 1) the pet Ai option isn’t available and it does not target the dog to zoom in on most of the time. 2) This is the big one, the field of view! Hung from the ceiling in a corner leaves quite a large blind spot because the camera doesn’t have a high vertical field of view.
I am going to keep the camera because of its other positives in comparison to others I’ve tried outweigh the negatives but just be aware of that field of view thing. I will probably buy another one to watch in the kitchen which with my house layout can turn and cover the blind spot in the living room when I’m out if the dog is secured in the living room.
I set this up to monitor a rat trap I have set up, it is focused on an area 20cm away in the dark and it returns an excellent, sharp night vision image with perfect motion detection. It is amazing such a camera is so cheap. Only problem is I found the documentation poor and it took a couple of hours to figure out how to use it properly. In addition to the SD card issue mentioned by others, the motion detection menu is hard to find and not very intuitive as you have to select the area you want FOR motion detection, i.e. it come out of the box with the entire field of vision switched off for motion detection! Once I figured this out and selected the entire field of vision it worked perfectly. So impressed.
Bought this as we just got a new puppy and we want to keep an eye when we go to the gym. The camera is easy to set up and add other people to the app so they can also watch. It turns and moves good, does screenshots and records video. You can pay to have the camera store video too. The quality is good, especially the night vision it’s really clear and you can hear and see everything. The app is easy to use and access. However, we have found the microphone doesn’t connect when we are out of the house. It works fine if we are in the house and on the same WiFi but outside of the house it just constantly tries to call the camera but doesn’t connect. Disappointing as that’s one of the reasons we have it (we can only watch in horror now if we see puppy chewing as we can’t yell through the camera!) not sure why it won’t work outside of the home. Other than that it’s a great camera for the price but yeah just be aware about the mic.
I prefer the smaller and can’t rotate model but anyway I bought this due to discount. It is not bad but just quite bulky and I don’t really need the pan and rotate.
I have to admit, I was expecting to test this camera and then move onto the next test unit. At this price point, exceptions must be made. Now, I’ll also admit that I only looked at the price and briefly glanced over the specs, so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the RJ45 network port. One of the problems with WiFi cameras is the WiFi. It’s convenient and flexible, but it can be a reliability nightmare. The cabled solution mitigates the issue
My main requirement is RTSP as I want to use other DVR apps and have constant monitoring employed. At first, I thought I’d made a mistake, but it turned out that I had just missed a few settings (RTSP has to be enabled per camera)
So far, these cameras have proven to be more compatible than my previous, more expensive, cameras. Not only that but they also seem to be more forgiving regarding incoming connections
The camera quality is great. There are a few tweaks that can be made to the image but the best is backlighting compensation. It can render a blown-out scene with detail
The app isn’t bad either. The previous app allowed sharing but it was limited to live view. This app also allows members to view recordings
The last thing I’m going to mention for now is the Alexa/Google support. My previous cameras were available in the home apps but the features are super basic and essentially limited to motion alerts. This camera can also display the stream on home assistant devices with screens
So far, I’m really impressed
This must be an old version of the product. I have all Ezviz cameras and they can all play recorded videos at up to 16 times speed. This camera is like the older ones which I gave away a long time ago. You have to use something called “Lan live view” to play SD card recordings at more than normal speed. It’s OK but disappointing that Amazon still sell them. It never occurred to me that this wouldn’t be a new model.
Only gripe is the ptz does not go down far enough. Have to tilt it so I can see pet when they are on floor close to camera or on chai
