I ordered this to use on one of my tarantula tanks thinking could set stationary camera on her hide and motion camera would follow any movement it ended up not really been suitable due to constant light and gone back to original single lens camera. The camera is simple to set up and gives split screen images it’s straightforward to use and app is ok but was little concerned that was told site not secure when connecting? Good basic home/pet camera at reasonable price but non secure site was little off putting
This Baby Monitor / Camera has a pretty clear picture and the sound is quite clear also. There is two way audio though if it’s being used for a baby then you’re not likely to have a conversation or a response to anything you may say 😛 It has a night mode also which is relatively decent also.
I like the fact this has two cameras though they both don’t rotate so bear that in mind.
I haven’t really heard of this brand but all in all seems pretty decent so gets a thumbs up from me!
Arrived well packaged and with fast delivery a good working baby monitor with dual cameras, one fixed and second one can be moved with motion detection function or via phone app.
It is very easy to use it and to install the app.
The images are very clear, perfect to check kids in another room, or pets. From the app you can even zoom the image.
Comes with USB cable and 3pin plug, but the cable is not really long.
I would highly recommend it.
The unique feature of this GNCC indoor, dual lens, device is that it has two Full HD capable cameras. One is in the base and fixed while the other is housed in a 360 degree rotating head. It costs just under 30 and the slight premium over similar cameras from the likes of say TP-Link, for example, is probably justified by the two lens arrangement.
Set up is fairly straight forward but the user manual only gives the bare minimum of guidance. Personally, I have set up and reviewed a few of these cameras and I found it more than sufficient. First one needs to down load the IPC360 Home app, which was readily available on the Google Play store or via a QR code download. The app requires you to set up an account with an email address and your password. It requires that the email address is verified. This is done via a code which is sent via that email address. Only trouble is when you go to email to get the code, the app goes back a couple of steps and one needs to proceed again. At this point I got out a tablet assuming the code I had read would be invalid and I would need to get a new one. No matter, in fact, because the same (first) code worked second time round. I should also point out the app gives one 60 seconds to enter the code. Plenty of time really but I did end up feeling I had been made to jump through some slight irritating loops to get to the finish line. I have seen this type of set up routine before and therefore it is not unique to this model or make and to be fair some of the other cameras I have set up were equally or even more ‘annoying’. The final part of the set up process is to choose which Wi-Fi you wish to use and enter the passcode. I suppose it took me about 10 minutes to get up and running and I must say the instructions in the app were very clear and helpful at each stage. For example, I incorrectly entered my Wi-Fi’s passcode, first time around. The app asked me to retry without any dramas and I was able to line edit the code to the correct value and the app then connected straight away. This lands on the plus side for the app but I still dropped a star for the set up process around the verification code.
The cameras may be set into either SD for FHD modes but the mode appears to apply to both cameras. That is, you cannot set one to SD and the other to FHD. I found control in the app worked well and I found installing my 64GB SD card a breeze. Access to the slot is obtained by scrolling the moveable camera up to its highest point and the slot and rest button may be found below the camera lens.
Image quality in both SD and FHD modes is good with good colour balance and contrast. I have positioned the camera on a window sill looking out through the double glazed window. It is for example, in FHD mode possible to read the number plates of passing vans on my private driveway. Quite useful because we have had a number of ‘incidents’ over the Christmas period. One of which left damage to a parked car. However, clearly one does need to keep the window clean to maximise the cameras clarity.
The camera also works well in a room, in the house despite the exceptionally gloomy and wet weather we have been having. It has to be quite dark or as I would say properly dark before it automatically switches into night vision mode.
On the downside this camera does not appear to be compatible with either Alexa or Google Home, so if you need that functionality, then look elsewhere. Personally, I do sometimes use my TP-Link cameras with an 8″ echo show but more often I just use the app on my tablet. I guess I am saying that for me the lack of smart device support is no big deal. The app works well and has more functionality, so it is probably all you really need.
I tried the remote access and was able to view the camera over Wi-Fi, on my phone, from the supermarket car park, in our local town. Always useful to be able to drop in if you are on holiday or just away from home. You can also review the recordings on the app when you get pack either via the cloud or via an installed SD card. I would not tend to use the app’s cloud option but it is there if you need it. One could also use free cloud storage or the data card on you phone if you have either of these options. The latter is a bit more tricky to set up but it can be done via app setting on your phone or tablet.
So in summary, this is a well priced and effective indoor camera with good image quality and relatively easy set up. The dual lens set up provides extra options to cover two areas at once and overall this device is good value for money. It appears well made and comes with a power lead and plug and a flexible custom mount (including fixings). While the set up could be easier everything else is pretty rosy. If the specifications suit your needs then this is a good buy that I am happy to recommend.
This is clear and easy to set up. Great quality with a full functionality support app. The dual camera functionality gives it an edge over fixed lens and single camera devices. Now you can fix focus and rotate all at once. Perfect for watching over pets and babies crib. Solid performance and picture quality
This is a really useful network security camera. Ideal for keeping an eye on babies, kids, pets or just the home.
This one features two cameras, one of which is fixed and the other can be moved via the phone app or motion detection.
Needs USB power so you might need a longer cable than the one provided depending on where you place it.
Easy to use – just download the app, pair the camera with your phone and off you go.
You can record to your phone or micro USB (or to a paid cloud storage if wanted).
The real advantage of this camera over others is the two camera’s, one fixed and built into the base, the other on a rotating mount that can be controlled by the app.
As babies are unlikely to be roaming a room i feel this is actually a better camera for pets, you can use the fixed lens to cover the majority of the room then rotate as required to capture any mischief going on.
The camera includes two way audio to allow you to check in on pets during the day.
An auto-motion feature allows the camera to follow detected motion.
The camera is easy to use with the app.
This camera is very well build, looks amazing and feels premium. You can either mount it on wall or Ceiling or even put it somewhere without mounting it.
The camera set up is very simple. Just connect it to your WiFi with simple steps (instruction are very easy to follow). However be advised that it doesn’t support 5.0GHz wifi so it only works with 2.4GHz. but if you have dual band router then it should be alright.
Setting up mobile app is easy. It has so many great feature and operating camera through mobile phone is fun and works like a charm. The picture quality is amazing and can be compared against any branded cameras.
Really loved the product and very highly recommended.
This is a great indoor security camera. You need to register your email to activate the free camera app. Once set up it is very easy to use and provides a fixed wide angle view and a second pan and tilt view that can be controlled through the app anywhere you have a WiFi or mobile data connection. The images are clear and can be zoomed in. Note that the instructions are very basic but the app is very easy to use and intuitive. There is also a micro SD memory card slot that is accessed by pointing the pan and tilt camera all the way up. By installing as SD card you can review any images as they are recorded onto the card and accessed via the app. You can also set multiple alarm zones so that you are only alerted if anything moves in a specific are of the image to reduce false alarms. There is also a handy wall mount provided with the camera with screw fixings as well as a 3 pin UK power adapter and USB C cable. It is also possible to power the camera via a portable power bank (minimum 1A output) so you can set it up remotely.
