As you can see I got this camera to check what was in my garden at night I was hoping for a hedgehog but turns out it’s a couple of rats
I have previously bought one for myself and it’s such a good product I bought one for my parents. Easy set up, great video quality and no subscription. Would thoroughly recommend
It’s a great camera with lots of features that you can implement if you need them. I was particularly interested to see how well the solar panel kept the internal battery charged, after I had initially charged it with a USB charger when I installed the camera. Even on overcast and wet days, the solar panel seems to keep the battery between 95% and 100% charge, so very impressed indeed!
I bought these to replace my old weathered security cameras. Compared to my last set I’m impressed with their wi-fi range it’s much better than my old set. At night if triggered they also light up which I wasn’t expecting but it’s a welcome addition. I found the set-up extremely easy and the app is very intuitive. The image quality is definitely good enough for what I need but I’m sure there’s better quality to be had out there at a price. You can also communicate through them using the app to speak to delivery drivers etc although there is a small delay in getting the notification that someone is at the door do you need to be quick. I’ve not charged them yet since putting them up a few months ago. All in well worth the money.
A friend’s enthusiasm for his IeGeek cameras persuaded us to try installing our own system.
We weren’t sure we’d succeed, as our gate is a long way from the house, and also wondered about ‘fake’ cameras.
We shopped around, and picked the IeGeek entry level cameras. They seemed well reviewed, and at 40 not much dearer than fake ones – and more convincing.
We found:
* The cameras look good, were easy to set up, have clear images, and the app feels simple and capable.
* One needs to store the images; we bought microSD cards, formatting was easy in the cameras.
* Our wi-fi had to be extended outside.
o A Wavlink extender worked well, fed via an ethernet cable from the router.
o Supplying that cable from our BT wifi dish extender caused it to be unreliable.
* IeGeek’s wide range of kit offers great flexibility to expand.
Great value camera with impressive image quality. Connects to my WiFi much better than my previous similar camera, no connection issues with ieGeek. Set up straightforward and impressive settings preferences on App. Would recommend.
Battery seems to last well.
Option to connect to a solar panel to keep the charge topped up.
Great quality picture with the added benefit of being semi-portable.
Definitely as good quality as the more we’ll known (more expensive) brands
This is the first wireless ieGeek camera I’ve bought. I have 2 others which are wired and I find very good. This one was simple to install and is very user friendly. Would definitely recommend. Picture is excellent and picks up night time images nicely.
Camera is so easy to set up. Had problems with cloud edge, contacted igeek customer service by email, immediate response, set up igeek app instead of cloud edge, works a treat, very impressed. Brilliant images with sound, so impressed have bought another for back garden. Definitely recommend.
Excellent purchase. Easy to set up and install using app. Good quality video and Battery looks like it won’t need charging for ages. Just been on holiday and was able to keep an eye on our property remotely. Highly recommended.
I bought it to deter people from tampering with my car. It was easy to install, if you have basic DIY skills and a hammer drill.
I would use your own 6mm red plugs and brass screws btw.
Easy to set up and rename.
It does well to capture images.
The App needs more refinement but for my purposes and two year warranty it works perfectly as a deterrent.
I would recommend using a solar panel or drilling thru the wall to nearest socket and running a USB C, cable if u want it constantly powered.
I bought this camera primarily for use inside a Blue Tit bird box and it works well. Easy to set up by the use of QR codes and everything included (swivel mounts, screws etc) The solar panel ensures that the rechargeable camera stays charged and Wi-Fi connectivity mean no long runs of cables.
I have been so impressed with the camera image quality and features that I have decided to buy another to use as an actual security camera.
It’s too soon to comment on reliability but with the back-up of an extended warranty after registration, I’m not concerned.
Finally found a camera that works without power plugged in that captures proper 5mp video , it has its own lighting for color recording and optional infrared black and white , i use it to to spy on my chickens and to see if other critters come unwelcomed, the motion sensor works well too.
Good product, would recommend
As a 60 year old “tech no hope” found app and installation easy, step by step guide spot on.
Check Wi-Fi signal strength in camera locations I’ve had to get a booster for back garden but apart from that feel a lot more secure getting instant alerts for human activity.
Especially when you’ve been robbed twice! Piece of mind
Easy to set up and link to your phone. Just takes a bit of trial and error to set up the zones. Take your time reading through all the set-up instructions so it doesn’t go off all the time just when you are away. I bought it more as a deterrent as I’m not sure how effective it is if somebody was snooping around.
Up and running in no time at all. QR code installed the app, 128 SD card loaded, sited camera at various trial locations around my home and played with all the settings for familiarity. Chose not to subscribe to the paid ‘cloud’ service at this time but to advantage of recording via iPad settings. Enjoyed tweaking all the settings, siren, light, motion detection, zoom etc.
Very comprehensive camera for the price (reduced by going ieGeek direct through Amazon).
Pleased with this purchase.
Arrived when advised and after following the instructions regarding installation very easy to follow, I charged the battery placed the camera covering the rear of our property. We have piece of mind when we are away from the house being able to review via the app, so easy.
After a couple of days receiving an email from seller checking everything was okay, also at the same time helping me regarding the warranty, could not be happier.
Like all these things it is tedious to set up and the instruction print size is tiny. I was amazed to set it up in one go ( compared to some cctv systems that just don’t send to phone properly) I will get another one for internal. The access to controls is tedious to say the least we have not all got tiny fingers. It cost me 500 to set up a wired 6 camera system that was a nightmare to fit I reckon 4 of these would cover whole house and take a few hours to do. For once a good product. Got a second one and added it to the app which is not to difficult.
Had them for over a month and they are brilliant. Good quality video and can easily be viewed and recorded for free. All round good camera does exactly what it says on the box. Good price but they have gone up a bit since I bought them but still good value. Alarm and light are good and have a wide range of sensitive settings plus you can select your own areas you want alarmed. Also you have 2way audio.
I have had this a month now and only just having to charge the camera so good battery.Day vision is good and Night vision isn’t super clear but I think this is due to location of install so will be moving it for better night vision. The light activated in the dark isn’t too bright which is great for me.
This is a great camera for the price and the fact its wireless is even better. The app and camera are easy to install and the app is easy to use
I find sometimes the app takes a little while to give you a live feed.
Thrilled with our purchase of 2 iegeek battery powered security cameras! They are very well designed, discreet & exceptionally well manufactured! Very easy on set up & good in-App advice &support. Really good value for money!!
Following a break-in we decided to get some security cameras. We wanted something that would provide a visible deterrent as well as alerting us to any would-be intruders. Someone recommended ieGeek and having read several reviews online we decided on a pack of two ZS-GX3S cameras for just under 80.
My first impression was that the camera feels nice and solid, not at all flimsy, and built to withstand the outdoor elements, although it will be interesting to see how well it fares with the high temperatures on the south-facing rear of the house in the summer. Installation was easy, with all necessary fixtures and fittings provided.
Connection is via your home Wi-Fi and the camera is powered by a rechargeable battery so there’s no wiring to do. An optional solar panel is available for purchase, which would save you the bother of periodically bringing the camera indoors to charge the battery. The battery itself is not removable.
Set up is quite straightforward once you’ve downloaded the ieGeek app onto your phone and you can share the camera feed with others if you so wish.
Picture quality is superb in fact I was surprised to find that it was considerably better than other, much more expensive, CCTV systems that I have seen. Daytime images are sharp and well-defined to the extent that you can easily recognise individuals and clearly read the registration numbers of cars on our drive. Night-time images in greyscale are reasonably clear but there is a big advantage in that movement detection activates a light on the unit, which enables full colour images and video. Movement also “pings” your phone, giving early warning of an intruder. There is also an intercom allowing verbal communication and a siren. Video and still images can be saved to a micro SD card of 32GB to 128GB (not provided) or there is an inexpensive cloud storage subscription service if you prefer.
It’s also good to know that, should you encounter any problems, there is a very good customer support team waiting to help you. We experienced a problem with one of our camera’s (I suspect I set it up incorrectly) so I emailed them and within an hour I was provided with step by step instructions, which quickly resolved the problem.
All things considered we are very happy with our purchase and it’s worth noting that these comments are based on what we have learned so far. I suspect that there are other features still to be discovered. Excellent value for money.
Excellent camera and fantastic value! Easy to set up and good app. Bought a separate memory card that was easy to install and immediately started saving files. Playback is easy to view as well and motion sensor is accurate and surprisingly very long distance so picks things up way ahead of the camera. You can zoom in on playback and on live as well. Literally the only thing that would be better is if there was maybe a switch for the light so you could adjust the brightness. Purely because it’s right outside my front door so in the evening it comes on with the motion senso
So far an excellent camera and fantastic value! Purely because it’s right outside my front door so in the evening it comes on with the motion sensor and it blinds any delivery drivers lol!! A good deterrent though so not a complaint just a suggestion.
I was dubious about these cameras because of the price, however, they are absolutely fantastic and great quality.
I purchased four of the cameras with Solar, they were super easy to install both physically and on the app.
I was amazed at the picture quality and the sound quality and the night vision.
I love the fact that if you are alerted to someones presence you can view it on your phone or even your Alexa if you have one, You are able to set off a siren remotely or speak directly through the Camera.
I am very pleased with this system, Highly recommend and I will be installing the same set up at my elderly parents house as I will be able to view those cameras on my phone too and deal with any potential intruders.
I have bought 3 of these cameras and one 360 degree camera. The day light image quality is outstanding, the night time infra-red is good black/white, the night time with camera light, gives a colour image, but is not so great therefore I use it without the light as the infra-red is pretty good.
The push notifications are quick, but it takes about 2 seconds for the camera to activate therefore miss showing what activated the camera sometimes. For example in the attached picture the small white dog set the camera off but was half way down the drive when the push notification came through, if she crosses the camera quickly it shows a notification but is out of shot before the camera activates. This camera covers my entrance, the other 3 cameras cover where the cars are parked and the front door, they work brilliantly as the activity is still in shot when the camera activates.
I have them running for about 2 weeks now, I do not feel the charge would last for 200 days without the solar panel, and as the weather is not good for charging at the moment (March), the cameras is showing about 70% charge after 2 weeks, therefore if we don’t get sun soon may have to charge from mains in about a month.
The app works well, I also have the four cameras connected to Alexa which shows the images when activated.
I recommend these cameras if you can’t get electrical power to the positions, I feel the you have to have the solar panels as the charge would deplete quite quickly, I have about 15 to 20 activations a day.
There is a free cloud storage the stores 6 second clips and an activation image, the clips I can access for the past few weeks, the image is only available for a day.
Having used ieGeek cameras for several years I had no hesitation buying my first battery powered camera.
The camera arrived next day and was very well packaged with everything included to mount the camera although I have not used the mounting system for my setup. Setting up the camera was very easy – just download the APP, follow the instructions and point the camera at the QR code presented by the APP.
You have the option to turn off the night nights which I have done and rely solely on the infrared, and this works remarkably well producing clear quality nighttime footage of what is moving around the garden at night. The daytime footage is crystal clear.
Triggered footage is uploaded to the cloud via Wi-Fi at 6 second intervals as default – for longer record times you will require a subscription. Footage is also recorded to SD card (also purchased through Amazon) which is handy if you are out of your Wi-Fi coverage area.
I use mine as a wildlife camera and have covered it in camouflage tape to break up the outline and placing it strategically around my garden. It is amazing to see and capture footage of the wildlife as they come and go.
The battery life is superb, but this will depend on how busy the target area is, but so far, I have used this for over a week in a fairly busy area and still have plenty of battery power left.
I would have no hesitation recommending this camera and I shall be purchasing more in the future.
I’ve started using the ieGeek 2K Wireless Security Camera, and I must say it’s been a game-changer for our home security. Here’s why: The 2K resolution is no joke. Whether it’s monitoring our front porch or the backyard, the clarity of the footage is impressive. I can easily identify faces, license plates, and even the neighbor’s cat sneaking into our garden.Unlike other cameras that turn everything grayscale at night, the ieGeek camera maintains full color. It’s like having daytime vision even when the moon is out. Im no tech wizard, but setting up this camera was a breeze. The instructions were straightforward, and I had it mounted on our garage wall within 20 minutes. No need to call in a professional.Rain or shine, this camera keeps chugging along. We’ve had some wild storms, but the ieGeek camera remains unfazed. The waterproof housing is legit. When the delivery person drops off a package, I can chat with them through the app. And if I spot any suspicious activity, the built-in siren and flashing light are enough to send intruders running. The PIR motion detection is spot-on. I receive alerts on my phone only when there’s actual movement—no false alarms from fluttering leaves or passing cars. Plus, the customizable sensitivity settings allow me to fine-tune it to my liking. The ieGeek 2K Wireless Security Camera Outdoor is more than just a surveillance device—it’s peace of mind. Knowing that our home is protected day and night is priceless. Highly recommended!
Remember, this review comes straight from a satisfied customer (that’s me!). If you’re serious about home security, give the ieGeek camera a shot. You won’t be disappointed.
I bought this to replace an older camera that had begun to be glitchy.
Very simple to set up – took me about 5 minutes the instructions and walk through app are very good.
The thing that is important to most people is the image – It is outstanding. Even in total darkness. All of the functions – the 2 way speech, the siren, the flood light etc etc all work perfectly, in fact better than was described. I can’t recommend it strong enough, a faultless piece of kit at, in my view, a remarkable cheap price. I will be buying more. I’ve attached an image I took when testing the camera – it was taken in total darkness – just check the detail.
(Edit: I’ve just noticed the uploaded image has been reduced and does not show the detail of the original – trust me the resolution is good)
