i am using this card in a single-card camera set to RAW+JPG(max quality) and it devours the workload like it wasn’t there at all. i shoot single shot, and cannot press the shutter fast enough to cause buffering.
It’s just the best in every category. Total brand killer at the right price. Used for projects at the highest level, and absolutely spot on for it. Get one and ditch the others.
Very happy with this adapter, I needed a UHS-II compatible reader for my Windows PC as my camera, also UHS-II compatible produces huge files very quickly. Transferring a 3.5GB file showed a transfer rate of 250MB/s on the Windows progress graph, matching the claimed speed of the Lexar 1667x SDXC card with a total transfer time of around 15 second.
Nice adapter with a solid feel, I have not tried the microsd slot yet.
Bought this and a much smaller cheaper reader. Traveling light I take the cheap one, it fits in your pocket. But taking a camera bag I use this. Build quality is good, file transfer is OK, not warp speed but good enough when traveling, it does the job. Cable is attached to it so no hunting around for a cable. May cost a few more pounds than cheaper one but feels much more solid. Worth it.
Not a whole lot to review other than to say the card works as expected and speeds were pretty reasonable. 5yr warranty – great value for money (if you need the speed) that’s for sure.
This is a nice little upgrade for my existing ‘slow’ cards. I bought it specifically to use with my sony camera for 4k/60fps recording. It has approx.84MB/s write and 91MB/s read speed which is almost as fast as advertised, so I can’t complain. My older card couldn’t handle it so this just came up very handy.
It comes pre-formatted in ExFAT file system so its cross-compatible with all cameras, PC and Mac.
The speed is also helpful when shooting hi speed photo-burst, the photos being transferred onto a card almost immediately.
It’s important to ensure you don’t buy a cheap card that turns out to be a useless card. Thankfully this card is excellent and, at the time of writing, great value.
I take a lot of photos especially in Raw formats. This card capture fast and no buffer. Even when transferring to my pc it zip through quickly saving times. Great Sd card.
Purchased this in desperation as my regular Lexar Professional V60’s took over a month to arrive. Performs pretty much exactly the same in my Lumix DC-S5. Will be buying these in future.
Bought this card for my Fujifilm xt3 (accepts uhs-II cards) this is a v60 type faster card. On my imac 2012 using a Drivergenius uhs-II card reader USB A type port 3.0 (with an adapter to usc C) I’m getting Write 95mb/s and Read 248mb/s speeds.
Previously used a Sandisk v30 high spec card I get Write 72mb/s and Read 170mb/s speeds. The intl slot at rear sd reader W 63mb/s and R 86mb/s.
So getting x3 Read speed increase (the important spec) By using a faster card reader and this fantastic sd card. Sandisk cards with same Read speed over 60 compared the 20.99 for this card. Fantastic value.
I’d buy another by my Fujifilm x100F doesn’t accept uhs-II type cards (only v30 uhs-I cards).
Have the cards a few months now and so far so good. Decent read and write speeds, have had no issue with them so far. Good quality for the price.
This is a very good card reader, it is good value for money, compact and looks good. There is a removable protector for the USB port and there are two SD slots, one for full sized SD cards, another for Micro-SD cards. The slots are on either side of the reader. When choosing a new reader, I obviously looked at price and this reader gave the best balance between price and reviews that I could find. Having used the reader for a few months, it is time to submit my review. I noticed that the card reader was speedy at reading and writing files in comparison to my previous reader and the onboard reader from my 2018 laptop. I do not have a UHS-II card, so I have not seen this reader at its full potential. The cards I have are UHS-I Class 10 by SanDisk. I used CrystalDiskMark to test the speed of this reader compared to the 2018 onboard reader in my laptop and with the older cards, there is a marginal gain in performance – I expect this difference to be dramatic with UHS-II cards, a the onboard reader does not support those speeds.
The only issue I have found with this reader is that when it comes to removing a Micro-SD card, I struggle if I have recently cut my finger nails, so I tend to use a card adapter in the full sized card reader slot when my nails are growing. Apart from that, this is good reader and is great value for money.
5 stars only based on its performance.
Finally an SD card reader that performs as I wished it did.
Tested it on my old HP EliteBook with a core i5 Intel processor. It doesn’t have the fancy USB3 sockets.
Even though it was busy (as always) doing some kind of (not understood by me) Windows tasks, updates, it performed:
Reading off the SD card at 60MB/s and wrote at 30MB/s
I have never had this kind of speeds with an SD card reader before on this laptop. Not even the build-in reader gets any near half of these values.
The card I used was a SanDisk Ultra 64 GB microSDXC Memory Card Class 10, U1
As for other features of this reader It is on the bulky side and if your laptop or PC has close by USB ports those are likely not useable as the size of this unit will cover them.
It feels and looks robust enough to be used for the next few years, but time will tell.
If you’re looking for performance and don’t mind the physical bulkiness then go for this unit, well pleased
