Today, with the introduction of slow cookers, air fryers, pressure cookers, etc, the hob is no longer an every day necessity. If worktops are limited in space (because of pre-mentioned devices taking up room), extending your surface is a no brainer. This is where such hob covers come into play and whilst you wouldn’t want to put anything heavy on them, setting out plates to serve food is fine and now gives the extra room without worrying about scratching your expensive hob.
The cover itself is anti-slip so it stays where it should without sliding around and it cleans easily by just wiping. Once used, it rolls up neatly and can be stored when the hob is needed. Overall I’m very happy with this product.

This hob cover/protector is a great addition to my kitchen. I have a 4ft range cooker and this takes up a lot of space especially worktop space, so this hob cover helps to maximise preparation surface and enables me to gain extra space to prepare food or put down hot containers etc. The protector is thick enough to give the protection needed for your ceramic hobs, it stops unwanted scratches as well as providing the extra counter top space. It is well made, quite thick and effortless to roll up and store in a cupboard when not needed. The pattern is stylish and lends a bit of colour to my kitchen. The protector is wipe clean but can also be popped into the dishwasher to clean. This item has proved so useful, that I’m going to purchase another for my mum.

This is a very versatile mat, it can be used to cover a glass hob to prevent scratching, its very useful when storing pans etc on the hob but it could also be used fo underneath toasters etc on worktops .
The colours are vibrant, it’s easy to wipe down, apparently it can also be put in the dishwasher but I am not sure that I would want to risk it.
The one important thing to remember is that the hob must not be switched on when the mat is in place!
I ordered this item thinking it would be a hob cover that you left on while cooking. It is not. It is actually a hob protector. I have to admit it is a beautiful picture with really vibrant colours to the flowers. It has a non slip backing and fits the hob beautifully and has two handles to hang it up when not in use. However, I have to admit that having to take it off and find somewhere to put it every time I use the hob would be very annoying and as such looked to the other uses it can be used for. Seeing the cat sat on the hob on the box, gave me an idea. My rescue cat is really good and does not jump on the kitchen worktops or other furniture, except that is the table and he is a bit of a nuisance here as he leaves muddy paw prints on the wood. I placed this protector on the spot he likes to sit and it stays put really well. What’s more, my cat loves sitting on it so a win all round. The cat is happy, and I have a clean table and a pretty protector on it.
The space “lost” to the cooking hob has often been an irritation for us and we frequently find ourselves using it as a food prep area.
A product such as this makes that process a whole lot safer, protecting the glass hob surface from rubbing and scratches. Obviously one should not cut directly on this mat but it’s good for holding cutting mats and food bowls in place, they don’t slip around, and it definitely means we feel more at ease in the kitchen.
Not unreasonably, one should not actually tuen on the hob while the mat is in place, but it seems OK to absorb the heat from a recently used heating zone.
It can also be used as a table protector. We have a glass dining table and it works well on that too.

Eye-catching…..first thing your eyes meet when entering my kitchen. Ok, so to begin with I thought oh dear I’m turning into my grandma because this is where I would expect to find one of these. Oddly enough I happen to quite like it. The fruits look good enough to eat. I have a gas cooker but the lid is glass and it is just the right size. I did measure before I ordered it because they’re were larger ones available which would have been too big. It has 2 tabs to attach it but I just leave it on the top of the hob so it can be removed when the hob is in use. Surprisingly it has lots of uses. I prepare food on it, then just pop over to the bin with it to shake bits off and give it quick wipe with a damp cloth. I use it to stand hot oven dishes and pans on. It is far better than my hot pan trivets. My kitchen is small but adequate and this mat has provided me with extra workspace. The thick strong rubber is resistant to heat and everyday wear and tear. It’s a shame it can only be hand washed because after continuous use it will become a little grotty without a proper machine wash. I think it is overpriced for what it is. Make a good present for grandma.

I own an induction hob and had no idea these products existed. Having had it for a week now I am more than pleased with the mat. I have the flower design that is amazing sharp with vivid colours that show off the clarity of the picture. It is well made and feels a quality product. It sits nicely on the cooker changing this into an extension of the work surface. It rolls up and easily stored when cooking.
I have found a multitude of uses including moving it onto the dining table for the father-in-law to do a jigsaw. It lends itself to be used on a desk and used as a mouse mat and desk protector in one.
The size is accurate, it’s thick without being to thick. It’s no slip base works well, it doesn’t move when laid flat. It can be cleaned in a dishwasher but does wipe clean with a wet cloth. I can find no fault with this product. It’s sold as a Hob cover which it does and it’s only when you get it you realise it is more versatile than that.
Good clear image of fruit. Will look good as cover on a standard sized (60cm) oven ceramic glass top.
Appears to be well made and heavy weight.
Feels similar to a mouse mat with a non slip back surface layer. You also get loops to hold in place more firmly if needed but in most cases I am guessing you will want to remove it frequently to use the hob so these won’t be needed.
Will not only protect glass hob from damage and dirt but will liven up the kitchen.

I think this is a super versatile mat if you need a heat resistant surface – yes, ideal in the kitchen but you could also use it elsewhere – a dining or coffee table, for impromptu ironing, hair straighteners and as a craft mat if you have hot tools out. I like the size it’s easy to wipe clean and the print is nice quality; photographic and very vivid. I got sent the fruit design though, not the floral one shown.
I absolutely love this electric hob cover. The design is gorgeous and really brightens up my kitchen. I have only ever found the plain black versions and they have been really useful. So to get a patterned one like this is great. It is the perfect size for my hob. It is rubber and easy to clean. You can put it in the dishwasher. Plus it protects glass hobs from scratches. You can put hot pans or plates on it too. Or you can take it away with you and use to iron clothes on, it really is very versatile and I can’t rate it highly enough!
This is an interesting product. I’ve never thought about putting a protective cover over my induction hob to prevent scratches but I suppose it does make sense. I’ve had my induction hob for a few years now and it does have a myriad of slight surface scratches. The majority of these have been caused by pots and pans in use on the hob, so this cover won’t have prevented those, it would however help when placing day to day stuff on the hob when using as an extension to the work surface.
The cover I received has a fruit design — grapes, figs, lemons that sort of thing. Looks very attractive and fits the hob perfectly. The rubber underside is slightly ribbed so the cover stays firmly in place. The actual build quality is very nice and gives confidence it will last. So far seems very easy to keep clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth. The box states dishwasher safe, but how effective a dishwasher would be at cleaning a rolled-up mat – I’m not sure.
Where I think this cover truly comes into its own is as and extension to the work surface. What I mean by that is — say you were to have a few friends over; you could use this to place nibbles or a cheese board or maybe salad that sort of thing and for that use I think it would look quite smart.
It feels and looks like a quality item but that is reflected in the price which to my mind is a little on the high side and it’s for that reason — value for money, that I’ve knocked a star off.

I got this as a pots and pans stand area on my kitchen surface as its very absorbent, machine washable to keep clean and covers a nice large surface as seen in the picture, 61x53cm. Also heat resistant with a slip proof bottom so you can stand hot pans on it etc, it also has a very nice look to it with vivid colours.

I received it in a floral pattern, which is quite interesting. At the time of ordering, there was no option to choose a specific pattern.
It is easy to maintain as it can be simply wiped clean or washed under running water. Hand-washing is so effortless that I haven’t tried putting it in the dishwasher, but the product description claims that it is dishwasher safe.
