I’m awful with all things hair. I get mine blow dried at a salon every week as I need to look polished for work.
But this does work to create curls in between blow dries -if anything it makes my hair too curly, I need to practice.
It’s ok to sleep in not uncomfortable, and I am very sensitive.
I am so pleased to have found this product. It is easy to use and comfortable to sleep in and it’s amazing how it curls my hair and also makes it seem much thicker. As I have quite fine hair this is far better for me than heated hair curlers as they can cause damage to fine hair. Will buy again.
I dried my hair to damp and then quickly put in the rod and pulled my hair around it, without trying to do it particularly well. And it came out amazingly. Would definitely recommend.
This set is nice and comfortable! Third time lucky after trying other products. First set was thin and not terribly comfortable, second set from a well know chemist retailer the foam was too inflexible and was very uncomfortable to sleep on! This set absolutely perfect! Enough substance to hold and enough softness for a comfy sleep. As with any new technique, it took a little getting used to in order to get the right amount of curl you want. I have a lot of hair, relatively long and quite wavy/unruly. I find smaller sections work best and when wrapping the individual sections, about three quarters through, take the next section so it catches the previous one. This helps hold each section in place. I secure at the back with another scrunchie and fold up the remaining foam ends for a really comfortable fit for sleeping on. Saves such a lot of time in the morning. I just remove, brush through with a wide toothed brush and then it holds all day. All in all a great product!
I have now used this a few times and can provide some tips on what has worked for me, hopefully it may for you too. I have long, naturally frizzy hair and get good results from this product. The item is a long satin covered foam tube with mouldable wire running through it. It comes with 2 satin scrunchies to secure your hair at both ends however you will need a large claw clip to hold it in place whilst wrapping hair around it. I was concerned that the diameter of the tube was too small and would end up creating ringlets rather than bouncy curls but this wasn’t the case.
After washing my hair I use a blow dry spray for hold and rough dry it with the hair dryer (still in some kind of neat fashion so as to create as little frizz as possible, the smoother my hair is the better the results). Once either dry or about 95% dry (sometimes I think a touch of dampness helps the curls form when they dry in place) split the hair in two and secure the tube to the top of your head. Instructions say to place the claw clip, with the heatless curling tube in it, at the centre of the top of your head, however I have found it better to place your claw clip to the opposite side of your parting to the side you’re working on and then swap I.E place it to the right of your parting whilst wrapping the left side and then vice versa (I have photographed this). This way I can wrap my hair right towards the top nice and tight rather than the clip getting in the way. Wrap in sections around the tube in the direction away from your face. I find it best to keep the hair flat against the tube as you wrap for neat bouncy curls, rather than allowing it to twist. Secure each end with the satin scrunchie and then I always pull both ends behind my head, secure with a loose large scrunchie and bend the wire of the ends upwards so that it doesn’t get in the way otherwise it comes out of place every time you turn your head and it rubs against your shoulder. I usually only ever leave in for around 3-4 hours as I don’t think I’d be able to sleep with it on but that seems to do the trick. Once you remove the tube I like to break the curls up by thoroughly brushing through with my fingers and then applying a small amount of hair oil. I have attached photos of the process and results I have found.
All in all it takes me about 12 minutes to rough dry my hair from wet and then around 8 minutes to place it into heatless curls, therefore 20 minutes from wet give or take. It’s a bit quicker than properly blow drying my hair into bouncy curls but equally doesn’t give quite as good of a finish. Minimum heat damage is a big plus though and ideal for anyone trying to get their hair longer via less breakage. I hope this is helpful to someone.
Got it for my daughter and she loves it. She uses it every time she washes her hair and she says it’s the most defined her hair has ever looked, and doesn’t damage her hair.she sleeps with it and her hair wet until it air dries and her hair is done in the morning
Im not the type to review things but this one deserves it. Works so well with my hair loose waves no effort so easy to put on and wake up with best hair. I have naturally wavy hair can be straightened or curled up but this created the best easy curls
I have long hair and I find that this gives me nice bouncy curls if I wear it over night. I mostly wear the night after I have styled my hair to get it to last in to the next day.
This has made my life so much easier. I no longer need to do my hair in the morning, instead I put these in over night and wake up with good hair ALWAYS. It takes some practice and trial & error to figure out how to make them work but once you have, it’s wonderful. They might be a bit big for short hai
I’ve tried many curling products before and one similar to this style, that ripped my hair on removal. However this product is amazing! Great curls on the first use! I washed and towel dried my hair and then applied the product, it was so easy to use. I wore it over night and it did loosen a little due to myself tossing and turning in bed, however this did not effect the end result. It was so easy to remove as the product is Silky smooth. I’ve not tried it on dry hair yet so not sure if the results would be the same but I love it so far! My hair is long and very fine.
My hair does not hold a curl however after wearing this over night with damp hair my hair stayed curly for up to a week. I did not trust it would work with my hair at all but I’m so pleased with the results. It is also easy to use and not too uncomfortable to sleep in. Highly recommend
However, the wire inside makes it uncomfortable to sleep on overnight. Despite this drawback, the curls it produces are perfect. If you don’t mind the inconvenience of the wire, it’s a great tool for achieving stunning curls without heat damage
I was pretty apprehensive about these heatless curlers but I was pleasantly surprised with how they turned out, pretty impressed actually! Fairly comfortable to sleep in, you just have to get yourself in the correct position. The only down side here is they don’t include the clip! I managed to use a claw clip I had already at home which worked ok but I’ll have to order something else for next time. Definitely would recommend, it’s so easy to do!
At first I thought the price wasn’t worth it since there were competitors with lower prices but I’m so glad I bought this instead of those, it’s really soft and comfortable and easy to sleep in compared to other ones that feel like you’re wearing a foam band around your head.
This is amazing! I have very fine hair and the curls never resist. But I use this overnight, without any kind of styling products in my hair and the next morning I have perfect curls! Anyone who wants beautiful curly hair should try this magical headband! And it is so easy to use. It does not bother me at all to sleep with it.
