Was going to purchase new expensive knives but then decided to buy a sharpener for my old knives.
This sharpener does a great job and brought new life to my old knives.
I had some knives that were getting blunt and this knife sharpener has made them brand new again and again. It’s beautifully made and hangs on my utensil rail in the kitchen. A great buy!
I wish I was joking but after using this sharpener I slipped while cutting a lecture and took the tip of my finger off. Really easy to use, so easy it took my kitchen knives from blunt to worthy of a trip to A&E
Bought it for a friend as I have one and use it all the time. It’s quick and easy to use, very safe to use. A sharp knife is safer to use when preparing food.
Was going to buy new set and wife had brain wave’ get the ones we have sharpened’! Didn’t even cross my mind dooh!
So after a few days researching purchased this item and glad i did.
After following instructions 6 swipes in each groove, def noticed a 100% improvement.
Was able to slice chicken and meat like when knives first purchased.
Holding it was very comfortable and felt safe.
No suction on it but does have a rubber like grip on bottom which does make it feel more sturdy during use
For the price i made a good call.
Now just have to deal with the wife’s smugness!
I bought one of these a couple of years ago. Recently a friend, whose wife makes cakes for sale on Facebook, said she was complaining that all her kitchen knives were blunt. I lent him my knife sharpener and he was impressed. More to the point, his wife was very happy – so I bought them one!

I have 15 knives that I use for daily /weekly/monthly cooking/butchering/prepping, and they were not as sharp as I would like when using only my steel for sharpening. I bought this baby, and now I am slicing/de-boning etc with ease. Used in partnership with my steel, the knives will always be razor sharp…
sharpens my kitchen knifes which were very blunt , now very sharp and after the initial sharpening it now is just a few strokes keeps them that way. easy to use and store.
This knife sharpener really does the job. It’s stable on the worktop, it doesn’t move around while pulling the knife through each stage of the sharpening process. For the first time of sharpening a blunt knife, I pulled it through 8 times through each stage. The result was amazing, I could slice through a tomato with hardly any pressure at all. I shall easily keep all my knives sharp now by drawing them through stage 3 five times, before using them each time.
Oh joy to have really sharp knives again, just like new ones.

Used on all kitchen knives and worked perfectly for just over 5 years, which seems like excellent value to me. No hesitation purchasing an identical replacement which just arrived and works great.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with the price being so low but went by other reviews and thought I’d try it out. The knife sharpener over all is very good. Within a few draws through, my knives were back to being as sharp as they were the day I got them. It is comfortable and easy to use. I have issues with grip and pain at points but I still found this very early to use. Highly recommend
It took a bit of time to re-profile the edges of the knives but after that it was briliant.
I make a point of giving all the knives a quick sharpen after they’ve been washed.
Our Lantana Smart Sharp Knife Sharpener arrived on time and we were kept informed of the delivery. It was used the very day that it arrived and produced excellent results. It is very well made, looks and feel very durable, easy and stable to use, with comprehensive instructions and, uncommonly for most businesses but very much appreciated, couple of follow up emails from the customer care team to ensure that we had all the related information to use our sharpener correctly so that we can get many years of good use from it. I know it’s early days but so far so good; a definite 5 Star from us.
The sharpener is very easy to hold and feels comfortable in the hand. Instruction leaflet on how to sharpen knives is very clear and the process is simple and straightforward. Knives are sharpened to a keen edge – some older blunt knives took 2-3 cycles through the sharpener to achieve good sharpness but this is no hardship as the process is so simple. I highly recommend the Lantana sharpener, it’s by far the best sharpener I have ever owned.
The knife sharpener is a very good design, well balanced so that it sits level on a worktop. Pulling the knife through each stage of the 3 stage process is simple and effortless. The edge achieved on my knives in a very short period of time, with little effort from myself, was excellent. I rate this sharpener very highly and know that many kitchens could benefit from having a Lantana Smart Sharp Knife Sharpener in thier draw.
Great price for a wonderful product.
I like this and it does what it says what it does. Just one concern, as I read the instructions it says don’t use/does not work on knives previously sharpened using other methods! Am I to buy all new knives?
I selected a “blunted” good quality kitchen knife and proceeded to sharpen it adhering to the instructions provided.
I found I had to go thro the process three times before I noticed a substantial improvement. This could be down to several reasonseg, downward pressure whilst drawing the knife blade through sharpening steels. Speed and consistency of each draw etc etc.
All in all this is an easy way of getting your ordinary kitchen knives to a reasonable level of sharpness. I would hesitate to claim that this sharpener is capable of producing a super sharp blade.
I will in future use this sharpener every time I use a knife before putting it away for the next time. It doesn’t take a lot of effort. Patience and consistency of drawing action will produce decent results. Ergonomically well designed. 7/10
