This is a good power supply for projects, with the screw terminal adaptor. I’ve been using it for radio receiver circuits and is seems to be relatively stable and low noise, which is great. No heat issues and delivers 2A with no problem. Cable is pretty good quality and the connections are solid. Nice value and reliable.
A good value and very well made 12v power adaptor that can be used in a multitude of DC power scenarios.
The adaptor features a nicely moulded plastic housing and a decent quality cable length of just under 2 metres terminated in a 5.5×2.1 power connector.
A great addition however is the inclusion of a 5.5 to twin screw terminal adaptor that allows fast bare wire connection to a multitude of electronic projects, including quickly swapping a different sized power connector from a broken adaptor by simply cutting the cable and screwing into the adaptor.
The unit features a decent power capacity of 2A so can be used to power a vast selection of 12v equipment.
Very good value as a spare or just as a quick easy attached bench supply.
This is a pretty common PSU used in many devices, and this model supplying up to 3A is going to be useful for most. It’s a 5.5mm barrel type plug, centre positive, which is very common on lots of devices, including lots of routers, external drives and musical instruments, though obviously it’s important to check the specification of your device before you plug it in.
Personally I tested it with some Elektron brand musical instruments (Digitakt and Digitone) and it worked just fine, with enough power to supply both simultaneously (I used a splitter) so i was very happy with that.
It’s well made, with a decent length of cable and robust moulded plug so I’m happy it’ll stand some regular use.

This adapter by Lonnky is a standard wall-wart: 240 volts alternating current in, and up to 2 Amps at 12 volts direct current out. It is so simple you don’t get and instruction sheet, but nor should you need one! The important thing is this Power Supply Unit just works,. It could be used as a replacement for a failed adapter, or be used for a variety of projects.
I have only one criticism. The 12 volt output lead is 1.2 metres long. This is advertised as a feature, but I would rather have a longer lead. An example: if you use this adapter to power a CCTV camera it is highly unlikely that the camera position is so close to a mains socket. On the other hand, if you are installing a camera or similar a splice is not out of the quetsion.
This is just what I needed to run the power to a couple of CCTV cameras.
The device comes with a barrel jack attached, and an adaptor to convert to two screw terminals.
I have used this to power a CCTV camera throughout the day and it is not showing any signs of getting warm. The wall adaptor is thin, but taller than a standard plug. Unless you have an extremely cramped area for your power connectors it should be OK.
I got this 12V 3A power adapter to use with my rope light. Build quality seems fine, the adapter is a little bulky but lightweight and the cable is a good length at 1.8 metres. The barrel connector connects perfectly into my rope light dimmer switch.
So far it has been working with no issues so I am very happy with this power adapter, it’s just what I needed.
