First, I like the design, both of the earbuds themselves and the case. The case is a bit big but it’s okay because it is very lightweight, something I appreciate.
They are very comfortable for long use which is a big factor for when I’m listening to music or playing games. The battery life is nice as well and the charge of the case lasts long.
Overall I’m glad I got them and have been using them almost daily.
I am currently enjoying the earphones. I really loved them. I like the flexibility to connect it to any device and use it. I have already referred this product to my family and friends.
I’ve been using this device since November (about 9 months) and I’m generally pleased with how it works. Exceptional sound quality and great battery life. It’s also very comfortable and easy to set up and use. I only have two suggestions to make it even better. Some of the people I communicate with tell me my voice sounds like I’m in a large empty room so perhaps the microphone needs some tweaking. It would also be great if a straight USB dongle was available. The adapter works great but it is a bit delicate and prone to breaking if you’re not careful. I would give this product a solid 4-4.5 stars and with a couple of tweaks it can easily be a solid 5.
At my age, I have some hearing loss and have been searching for a set that would make up for that loss concerning high tones and low tones for a long time. Finding these was a miracle for me and giving them a try was well worth the reasonable price.
Once I figured out how to set these up right and what to avoid doing while playing a graphic intensive game: These brought out the highs and lows with power, precision and clarity far better than any headphones or other earbuds (wired type) I’ve used before. It makes music and sound effects THRILLING again.
It has a clear sound, like it, and as I had problem with first one, I put a complain and I get a brand new set for free.. Anyway, it worth its price.
Using for work and performing better than the headset I had from the employer as customers were struggling to hear me. Good sound. Very, very easy to set up. You literally plug the USB Dongle in and it’s ready to go. You can put the buds in the case when on break, so they are always fully charged. Also delivery was a couple of days earlier than expected. Really fantastic. Would recommend to anyone!
Bought higher end 249$ JBL twice sent them back because the battery life was terrible for gaming chat
The Razor earbuds for 179$ were not much better so I bought these thinking I could buy 2 for less money
Have not needed to buy another pair
They last much longer
Much easier to set up and use
The USB wireless earbuds are an excellent choice for gamers, students, and professionals seeking a dependable wireless headphone. I’ve had these for a few weeks and am quite pleased with the overall sound quality, comfort, and battery life. They are lightweight and comfy, so I can wear them for lengthy periods of time without pain. The wireless connection used by the earbuds is 2.4GHz, which delivers a robust and low-latency connection for gaming and work. They also have Bluetooth 5.0 capability, so I can pair them with my smartphone or other Bluetooth devices. I noticed that the microphone quality may be improved.
All in all, recommend these ear buds for gaming on PC or watching movies or listening to music etc. However the mic leaves much to be desired.
I thought I’d give these earbuds a go, as I’ve been looking for looking for ones with low latency to use with my PC. It can be a nightmare trying to find bluetooth dongles and compatible headphones that both support low latency modes on PC, but these earbuds have an unusual solution to the compatibility / latency issue – they come with their own specialized USB dongle! They can also connect over bluetooth though, should you wish to use that method, for example, with your phone.
They come with a charging case (which is a tad bulky to be honest, but it will fit in your pocket), USB-A to USB-C cable (for charging the case), 2 extra sets of tips of different sizes in addition to the ones already fitted, the aforementioned USB dongle, which has a USB-C connector, and a USB-A to USB-C adapter, to enable you to plug the dongle into a standard USB-A port. There’s a tiny carrying strap included too, but I’m not quite sure why – you’re unlikely to want to attach the charging case to your keyring! Lastly, there’s an instruction leaflet and warranty card.
I tried the earbuds with my phone to start with, and they paired without issue, playing back music and controlling play/pause, volume and next/prev track just fine. I understand there’s an app available that enables you to customize the control shortcuts on the earbuds, but I didn’t use the app as the default controls were fine for me. Sound quality was great when using my phone’s equalizer, but not quite as good without it, sounding a bit muddy in that instance. I would recommend you use an equalizer with these earbuds to attain the best sound from them. While saying that, they are considerably louder than my previous earbuds.
I then tried them on my Windows 10 PC, using the supplied dongle. The technique to switch between bluetooth and dongle is a bit fiddly but after some trial and error I got the hang of it. Again, sound was great when used in conjunction with an equalizer, and less impressive without it.
Reception range from the earbuds was approx 8-10 metres in my tests, but this was not clear “line of sight”, so you may be able to get longer distance from them.
They fit into the charging case very well, and don’t rattle about in there, unlike some other earbuds that I’ve had. The case has lights aplenty and you’ll definitely know when it’s charging!
I see myself using these on the PC more often than with my phone, as they don’t have as long battery life as the ones I already use with my phone, and also because they’re the only wireless ones I’ve got that support very low latency on the computer.
I’ve become frustrated trying to find Bluetooth headphones that don’t have massive audio latency on Windows 11 when using Teams. These stood out due to their dual mode: Bluetooth and 2.4ghz low latency dongle connection.
These earbuds arrived well presented with a robust charging case with battery level indicator, earbuds themselves and a USB-C dongle (with USB-A adapter).
I initially tried them using a tried and tested Bluetooth connection with my iPhone. Pairing was very straightforward and I like the way they automatically reconnect like the EarPods. Voice prompts tell you any status such as ‘pairing mode’ or ‘connected’ etc. There are touch controls on both buds for volume, track, mute etc which is very good when you get used to the controls.
You have to push them into your ears which creates a seal and presumably helps with noise cancelling
(although I think these only have passive noise cancelling rather than active). Three different sized rubber plugs are included to ensure the best fit for your ear. I found the smallest fitted the best although still needed regular pushing back in when they worked their way out.
I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality for the price. Clear vocals and a decent amount of bass. Compares well to the Apple EarPods. Battery life seems fine and seems to get 3 or 4 full charges from the case before having to charge the case itself.
Now for the USP: the 2.4ghz dongle on my Laptop. This was laterally plug and play and worked straight away. Unlike Bluetooth, the latency/lip sync on YouTube and Teams was spot on which was very pleasing. 5/5 for this alone.
Why do they lose a star? Well, firstly, the dongle is a T-shape. When plugged in, it blocks access to the neighboring port on my laptop. It would be good if the dongle was a straight shape like the USB-A adapter. Very frustrating. Also, whilst walking around, one of the buds fell out my ear and broke in two when it hit the floor. Luckily I managed to click it back together. Buds like this will inevitably fall out so it’s a shame they’re not a little bit more robust. Rules out outside use for me.
Overall though, these are great versatile buds with good sound and a great unique feature of the dongle connection for latency free PC work.
My favourite pair of earbuds ,especially at work.
I love the usb connection as I can put it straight to my laptop and start listening my favourite song.
Once plugged in ,it auto install its software so simple as that you are ready to go.
Once removed from the case ,a female voice is talking.
You will hear messages like :connected ,gaming mode, music mode.
It automatically start with gaming mode and you need to tap 4 times any of the earbud to switch it to music mode.
The case is magnetic so is very easy to put the earbuds back in.
They will charge automatically as long as the case itself has battery or it is connected to an electric charger.
I like simple things in general and I find these one of them ,been using them ever since I got them and I am really happy with them.
Reasonable priced ,save a fortune compared to other known brands.
These ear buds are comfortable to wear and they seem to “sit” well in my ears even around the inner ear piercings where I normally have some issues. Connectivity is really good and they connect well with no issues of breaking up. Sound quality is good for listing to music/podcasts/gaming and the microphone works great too with no problems reported from anyone listening to me.
Great battery life, stylish and small charging case with through charge.
Great value and better than some I have had at double the cost would 100% recommend
Great headset that works on my pc perfectly. This connected easily after plugging in the dongle and made it easy to get on and start talking. Battery life is good and easily lasts the day. Comfortable to wear and easy to use. Sound quality is very good.
These are a decent quality build wise with nice blue lighting around the case on the 4 corners with a battery indicator level inside the case between the earbuds.
The buds themselves are decent build quality with the same blue lights in the stalks, which are also touch sensitive for using to skip, play and pause tracks on both stalks which is a good touch and also works flawlessly. The buds are comfortable enough though I do suffer ear fatigue after more than 30 mins of use. Having said that – They do fit snugly and I’ve never had them fall out ever.
Sound quality is ok, nothing to really write home about. It has a good range however it does tend to get a little muddy at higher volumes with some noticeable distortion at around 80% and higher volume levels. This could also be down to the fact that when I plug it into my phone for music I do get an audio notification that it is in Gaming Mode and have not been able to switch it to the Music Mode as I was not able to find how to do this in the instructions.
The included USB C receiver works very well and I have not noticed any latency when using to play games on my PS5 where these also excel – They’re really good for gaming and not so much for music.
1 flaw though is when trying to use these with my laptop to take calls on Teams (For which they are advertised as), my laptop has 2 type C ports, 1 of which I use for charging and the 2nd for a external display – Because of how wide the receiver is, it covers the 2nd usb port and so this renders the 2nd port un-usable so I have not been able to use them for work teams calls sadly.
Using them as Bluetooth headphones with my phone, I find at the volume is noticeably lower than with the usb receiver and also a-lot cleaner and less muddy also no distortion at all even at max volume.
The appeal of these earbuds are that you can connect to them not only via Bluetooth, but also the supplied USB dongles, which means you can easily jump from device to device (hence the name ‘Rabbit’?) by transferring the dongle around.
In practice this did work, but sometimes it was a little finnicky to pair properly.
First impressions on opening the box was the design of the earbud case itself; it looks like something that wanted to appear futuristic, but that definitely does not translate well. The case is too big and bulky, with unnecessary lighting. Compared to designs from multiple other brands, these are by far the ugliest.
That said, the earbuds themselves are the generic ‘drop’ design, in that they drop into your ear and don’t require using fancy ear shapes to hold it in place. They feel quite secure and relatively comfortable.
Sound quality is decently good, so long as you don’t pump up the volume. At the higher end the bass very quickly distorts terribly, but I wasn’t able to accurately assess whether this is because these buds try to push a higher volume than others that I have, or whether it’s just not that capable at the higher volumes.
In summary, if you want earbuds that you can easily use between multiple devices, i.e. portable gaming consoles, etc, then by all means these will work well (you will need to use the app to configure some settings to your liking though). But for generic listening, personally I’m not a fan of the ugly and bulky designed case, and the distorted sounds at higher volumes.
The USB wireless earbuds are a great option for gamers, students, and professionals who are looking for a reliable wireless headset. I have been using them for several weeks now, and I am impressed with their overall sound quality, comfort, and battery life. They are comfortable and lightweight, so I can wear them for extended periods of time without any discomfort. The earbuds use a 2.4GHz wireless connection, which provides a stable and low-latency connection for gaming and work. They also support Bluetooth 5.0, so I can connect them to my smartphone or other Bluetooth devices. The earbuds have 10mm drivers, which deliver clear and well-balanced audio. I have noticed that the microphone quality could be better.
Pros:
– Nice and comfortable
– Phone app is basic but does add a few more features (such as switching between gaming mode and music)
Cons:
– My PC was saying it was connected, but at times when using teams I got no sound and the mic wasn’t working. Other times was fine.
– Instructions are very basic
– Bit expensive (49.99 at the time of review)
I hope you find this review helpful
Middle Rabbit SW4 USB Wireless Earbuds
I wanted these for use at work in an office environment, as an alternative to a good quality pair of wired IEMs that I have.
These aren’t too expensive, but they are quite versatile, connecting via Bluetooth or 2.4G wireless using the supplied USB dongle for maximum compatibility. I’ve only used these with a Bluetooth connection, so I won’t comment on using the USB connection option but it’s useful to have if you’re using these on a laptop or PC without Bluetooth.
They come in the usual charger case, it’s not as nice looking or as sleek as some, but it does the job and is quite compact. Pairing with my iPhone was quick, and opening the case starts the pairing operation. The earbuds are comfortable and secure in use and the supplied earbud sleeves seem to suit my ears quite well, so I haven’t tried the other sizes that are also supplied. The sleeves are the silicone variety, there aren’t any sponge type alternatives provided.
The earbuds are controlled by a single touch sensitive area on each unit, with the core functions of play/pause and call control can be operated with presses on either earbud — I like this. For other functions, the left earbud controls previous track/volume down functions, and the right one does the opposite controlling next track/volume up functionality — nice and logical to me. The actual function is selected by a combination of single, double, or long presses on the button. A double-click is used to control volume but this took a bit of getting used to and I often paused the playback when I wanted to control the volume. When you do want to pause a track though a single press works on either earbud, which is nice and easy.
Musically, these are a bit of a mixed bag for me, sometimes I felt the bass was good and deep but on other tracks it felt more muddy. The high end didn’t have a great deal of room and sometimes more subtle elements were a bit lost, but as you push the volume up, higher frequencies can be a bit harsh.
The battery life is also good for me, I rarely wear earphones for more than a couple of hours at time, and these have been fine for that.
What I liked about it:
* Very light.
* Very comfortable to wear.
* Reasonable battery life.
What I didn’t like about it:
* Top end frequencies a bit harsh.
Overall, I like these earbuds, especially the light weight and comfortable fit. They aren’t the best sound quality I’ve heard though, but for the price I think these are reasonable, and I liked them.
These are great earbuds. The sound quality is very good and the mic quality is also very good too.
Comfortable to wear for long periods and easy to connect to devices that don’t have Bluetooth with the dongle.
I’m a big fan of zelda series games and I got th these earbuds specifically for playing games on my Nintendo Switch. Since I got them these earbuds have become the perfect gaming accessory, offering clear and immersive audio with versatile connectivity.
Setting of them up the earbuds was very easy, connecting to both my Nintendo Switch and PC without any issues. The inclusion of a dongle and Bluetooth support adds to the convenienceconvenience, making them suitable for large variety of devices. Pairing is very quick and straightforward believing more time for gaming.
The 2.4G wireless technology delivers low latency, creating a lag-free environment crucial for gaming. The impressive sound quality, courtesy of 10mm drivers, provides rich audio with clear treble and deep bass, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
I always prioritise comfort during my extended gaming sessions, and ergonomic design ensures a snug fit to my ear, no pain or discomfort in the auricle even after using them for a very long time.
Additionally, the intuitive controls, while not customizable, make adjustments during gameplay seamless. The exclusive app further enhances convenience by allowing personalized touch controls and easy monitoring of battery levels.
In summary, these earbuds are a valuable addition not only for gamers. Whether on Nintendo Switch or PC, the seamless connectivity, clear audio, and comfortable design make these earbuds a must-have for an immersive and enjoyable gaming experience. Happy gaming!
Nice earbuds, works perfect.
Excellent sound quality, super basses and excellent noise cancelling.
Fits well, comfy to wear them.
Quite long battery life and fast in recharging.
Can also use this headphones for gaming.
Price I think is good for them.
So I do recommend them to all.
First impressions are a set of good-looking Earbuds, I like the versatility of these with the included dongle
These connected easily via Bluetooth, connected straight away, you can also use the dongle, connects similar to the way a wireless mouse would connect.
The sound on these is good, balanced sound, clear and crisp, suitable for voice calls, that sort of thing, not overly good for music, lacked bass.
A good earbud, I like the dongle, and the clear crisp sound is excelle
Finally I find a pair of wireless earbuds that ACTUALLY fit me. I’ve bought at least 3 different pairs and one massive issue I always have is they either are too small, too uncomfortable or fall out of my ears. These? They fit perfectly. They don’t have the best sound quality humanly possible, it’s good, but I’d rather sacrifice sound quality for comfort.
These are extraordinarily comfortable for my ears. I haven’t tested the dongle because I have no use for it at this point in time, but in the future I will definitely be using this for a laptop/PC. If you’re like me and you’ve struggled to find a pair of wireless earphones that fit comfortably, I can assure you these are it.
The Middle Rabbit SW4 earbuds. They’ve been a constant during work hours, ensuring clear communication during endless video calls. The sound quality has been consistently clear, making the transition from work to a quick music session seamless. The connectivity, too, has been reliable, which for wireless devices is often a hit or miss.
I looked to the listing for these and thought they would be ideal for my husband for work, he has the horrible over the head earphones and absolutely hates them. Says they look low class, makes the managers and partners look like call centre workers. Apparently they are not allowed to bring in tech in case of viruses and bugs. Personally, his office systems are rubbish, so how they can say this is beyond me, their software is always crashing and don’t get me started about how slow it is, I have him moaning about it every night.
My son is a gamer, so he now takes over testing these for me. He found these easy to use, battery life is good on them and charging using the unit and associated cable easy. The dongle and the bluetooth features give users lots of alternatives. He is quite security conscious, so would rather use the dongle. Sound quality was good and he was happy to use them. Very comfortable in the ears and good to have additional rubber bits to customise fit. The price is good and there are plenty of reviews on youtube from tech users if you want a more technical viewpoint. Controls for volume involve tapping either the left or right ear bud, there is a small leaflet in with them, but tech users will get the hang of this so quickly …
Happy to recommend.
This is definitely the next generation for earbuds and we were so impressed with them. In the very stylish packaging comes a customer service card, instruction manual, spare larger and smaller rubber buds, charging cable, USB-C to USB-A adapter, USB-C 2.4GHz receiver, strap, case, and the earbuds.
The case that holds the earbuds is of a very clever design that semi exposes the earbuds to complement the lighting display you get all around the box when opening it and closing it. The case also has a very clear power level and is very protective for the earbuds.
The earbuds are very comfortable and when pushed in firmly starts to reduce outside noise. What we really loved about these earbuds is that we can choose between Bluetooth (what the earbuds voice titles “Music” mode) or the 2.4GHz (what the earbuds voices titles “Gaming” mode). Bluetooth set up is very standard, just find them on your Bluetooth device, connect, and then you all set.
The 2.4GHz set up is next level. You have to plug in the 2.4GHz receiver, either directly into a USB-C port, or using the adapter into a USB-A port. As soon as we had installed the 2.4GHz receiver, it flashed into life and synced/paired with the earbuds. This syncing/pairing overrides the Bluetooth connection and so it tells you which mode you are now in, gaming. Also, when you unplug the 2.4GHz receiver it defaults back to Bluetooth and the music mode.
In both the Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connections, the earbuds sound amazing, even at low volume. The bass is impressive and there really is nothing that you cannot hear across the spectrum of sounds – this is excellent for gaming. But the big test is for video editing and we really gave these earbuds a run through. Using the Bluetooth connection, there was the expected time delay and chronic lip sync. However, when we moved to the 2.4GHz connection it actually matched my wired headphones for audio speed and we had virtually perfect lip sync, and that was very impressive. Looking forward to test driving these earbuds on 2.4GHz connection with the TV.
Unfortunately, there is just this one thing that is starting to really annoy me because it seems badly designed and that is the ‘T’ shaped 2.4GHz receiver. Now I understand that it would look good connecting to and running along a mobile, or Switch using the USB-C socket, but as it is not like a normal USB-C cable connector, it does not reach past my phone case to engage with the USB-C port, like all other cables and connectors do. The other issue with this design is that when you use it on your laptop it covers any neighbouring ports, so that they cannot be used. My laptop has two USB-C ports next to each other and when I insert the 2.4GHz receiver then that is both ports gone. This is the same even when using the USB-A adapter, it still doesn’t clear enough room for the other USB-A ports to be used. The only solution would be to get a mini USB-C/USB-A extension cable and connect the 2.4GHz to that.
Despite this design flaw, the earbuds are awesome and so I could not justify giving them anything less than 5 stars.
Amazing quality earbuds perfect for my teams meetings. Love the dual connectivity options. Sound quality is surprisingly good even for music and other audio on my tab. Definitely worth i
This is a neat little set of earbuds, nothing too special but as well as Bluetooth you can pair them to their own little dongle to work on games consoles, etc.
The earbuds come in the usual case that recharges them when not in use, and which can be recharged as well. You also get the usual three earpiece covers, charging lead and instructions. Also included is a 2.4GHz dongle (USB-C and USB-A interfaces) to automatically pair up if you don’t want to use Bluetooth.
It’s easy to set these up either way. Sound quality is pretty good, especially as they fit into your ear well to enhance bass. Very clear with well handled treble that doesn’t shriek. My standard “Flash” track by Queen has a high dynamic range and these handled it very well.
For the price these are pretty good. Controls are quite logical by tapping the sides although I don’t really like them as they are too easy to activate when you put them in/out or reseat them.
These wireless buds come in a cardboard box, with on top of them in their charging pod, a charging cable (USB A to C), a USB C dongle (T shaped so on a phone it won’t protrude too much), a USB C to A adaptor for PCs without a C port available, a little short wire loop to clip onto the case for holding and a short manual.
Pairing them is dead easy, plug and play with the dongle, or opening the lid of the charging case, long pressing a button and finding them on the list of available devices on your phone or computer.
Looks-wise, they are designed as a gaming accessory, the case is squarish and straight out of a scifi shooter, the buds have little LED bars (that indicate a few different things)
Using them is a breeze, the stems on the buds allow gestures to control them (sadly fixed as you can’t customise them), and the sound and battery life are pretty good for the price category, and the sound captured by the mikes is loud and clear.
To boot, they are comfortable to wear for quite a while, always a game changer in these days of long video conferences.
In short, good earbuds that won’t let you down, whether for music on the go or chatting on work calls.
Middle Rabbit is a young US brand aiming to offer earbuds with integrated TWS and 2.4G Dongle connectivity at an affordable price point. They’ve been enjoying good reviews on YouTube, so I grabbed the chance to test a pair for the Amazon Vine programme.
SO WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
You’re getting a robust case that doubles as a USB C charger. You simply place the buds inside the case and plug in the cable. The charge port is unprotected from dust and moisture so you’ll have to look after it. You get a charge-level indicator for each bud, which isn’t always the case with this type of unit.
Then you get a dongle for automatic paring. It can be used directly with USB C, and also with USB A using the adaptor they include. The dongle draws its power from your device so doesn’t need charging.
And you get 3 sizes of replaceable tips to fit different shapes of ear.
HOW EASY IS PAIRING?
Pairing with the dongle is quick and hands-free, as you’d expect. But you need to be aware that this also enables any nearby hackers to pair with your device, so use with care in public spaces!
Bluetooth pairing is a little more secure as it requires your active permission. As with the dongle it was quick and painless.
WHAT ABOUT FEATURES?
Each earbud has a little button on the stem, and you control the features by tapping the left or right bud with various patterns. The manual explains these relatively clearly .
You get volume control, call control to accept, mute and end calls, playback control to pause and to skip back and forwards through tracks, and a choice between music and game mode.
WHAT’S IT LIKE TO USE?
On my ears, the buds fit securely with the default medium tips.
For the price, the sound is very acceptable. It feels full and rounded, with an unusually clear sound table.
It’s at its best with genres like Baroque or singer-songwriters with low sonic complexity. But the bass is pretty acceptable for rock bands and even for full orchestral music. The buds only start to struggle with complex wall-of-sound type mixes, when it begins to feel a little muddy.
So for my needs I’m more than happy with the sound quality. If you need more than this, you’d be better going with headphones rather than these tiny buds.
If you want to sync with video, I find the music mode unacceptably laggy – but game mode is fine.
I did see a couple of early reviews where users experienced problems with one of their buds cutting in and out. Middle Rabbit held up their hands and admitted to a production problem, sending out replacements without requiring a return. Hopefully this glitch has been straightened out by now.
RECOMMENDATION
In my experience you could easily spend twice as much on a more established brand without enjoying any better features or performance. You really are getting a lot for your money, so this is a solid 5-star recommendation.
