Very cute little propagators. I’ve put them along my South facing bedroom window sill and looking forward to the seeds starting to sprout!
Surprisingly sturdy too! I bought two packs and am very pleased with them.
So, I stumbled upon the MQUPIN Seed Trays Starter Kit, and it’s been quite the journey from seed to sprout! With 10 packs and 120 cells, it felt like I had my own little botanical laboratory. The adjustable lid and window? Genius! I’ve been experimenting with different growing conditions, and let me tell you, my plant babies are thriving! Plus, the fact that these trays are reusable? It’s like a gift that keeps on giving!
Last year I decided to harvest my hostas seeds and thought I’d give these little seed trays a try with some and they’re now growing and sprouting! The trays are wonderful quality and fantastic for growing little seedlings. Each comes with its own tray, the slots and a cover to keep them protected. You have the option of letting air in via a little vent or not. They even come with little tools and labels.
Highly recommend them!
These trays are perfect for smaller shelf spaces and the higher lids mean the seedlings can stay longer in the covered tray. Useful mini tools and sturdy labels. Buying some more today 🙂
These propagators are proving excellent – for bringing on cuttings, for starting seeds off, or for bringing on bought seedlings. So far we’ve brought on Salvia cuttings and started off seeds of lettuce, chard, parsley, carrots – all going really well on the kitchen window sill.
Great little kit for your seedlings, each tray has its own water tray and greenhouse top to help retain heat and moisture.
I think these will be reusable for many years to come.
Decent value and do the job, I would recommend.
This is such a fabulous little set for seed propagation and much better than I was anticipating. Your get a set of 10 seed propagators and each one has space for 12 cells. They’re a good sturdy feel and there are several aspects that I really like about them. Firstly the cell trays each have a hole for each cell that when you sit it into the solid base (that has no holes) means that any water is contained but your seeds aren’t going to be saturated in water as the cell doesn’t touch the green base. The tools that come with it mean that you aren’t throwing soil all over the place. Lastly, the height of the lid is a great depth which means seeds can stay in a lot longer before being transplanted into another container.
I wanted these to be able to start off growing some of my herbs and chili plants on the window sill now in winter.
The whole kit is very easy to use and my daughter (7) and I have really enjoyed planting our seeds. They look very neat and tidy and are the perfect size for fitting on a sunny window sill.
A nicely presented package of mini propagators which includes 10 trays with 12 cells each.
Despite the low cost these mini propagators have features that yu usually only see in more expensive units.
The main benefit of this set is that the vented lids are much higher than normal giving your seedlings more room to grow meaning that they can be grown on in the propagator for longer, giving stronger plants.
Another great feature is that the cells sit in a separate solid bottom tray meaning that you don’t have any problems with leakage and you planys will need watered less frequently.
If that wasn’t all, the set comes with a set of plant labels and a couple of small plastic planting tools.
Great value and comprehensive set!
These are much better than i expected. It comes with everything you need for my summer seeds.
The base tray and lid are made of good, thick, sturdy plastic. The seed trays are a bit more flexible, but come pre-drilled with the drainage holes.
The lid is extra tall for those longer seedlings.
Very happy with this item, i got a heat mat a few months ago and this will be prefect as the “half size” will allow me to fit more on.
Very happy and can recommend.
– I am using this to start some seeds which I will later plant in my garden
– It allows a controlled, visually appealing setup which I really like
– The setup is great as I can see each sprout, it allows soil drainage into the waterproof black base and it allows airflow through the top clear roof
– Very
– The plastic material feels cheap and thin, but works well
These are perfect for me to start some seedlings on my windowsill. I love that they have covers so my cat doesn’t dig around or eat the baby seedling plants. The plastic on these feels sturdy and not that flimsy stuff. Like I might be able to reuse these over and over! I like that it has a water bit too. The labels and tools were a nice added touch.
I got this for my father that loves his greenhouse and at this moment is itching to get planting and get away from the TV!
I’ll be honest, i’m no gardener, so I asked his opinion. He was really pleased with this and said he’ll be able to use it shortly to get his seeds started. He liked the optional clear lids with the adjustable vent, which apparently helps keep the moisture in and promotes growth.
The additional tools were a nice little bonus, albiet basic. The main feature; 10x the trays was main item and he was very pleased with it and said the price was pretty good, especially it being delivered as well.
He gave it a big thumbs up.
Every year I grow chilli’s from seed and need to start them off in about February to ensure a good crop come summer. The biggest problem I have is that I do not have a heated greenhouse so tend to have larger propagator trays all over the house. The great thing about these is that they are the absolute perfect size to go on the windowsill. Problem solved.
You get 10 propagators & you can plant 12 seeds in each. The trays are nice & sturdy and I especially like the high lids which allows for the germinated seed to grow taller. As a general rule propagator lids tend to be quite shallow meaning you have to transplant earlier than is ideal. These also have an adjustable window so you can control the humidity & air flow.
Each cell has a drainage hole but the base in solid so your seedling is never sitting in water. It also means that if like me you are using your windowsill you will not need to line it paper.
I also like the fact these come with plant labels and the tools needed to transplant on.
I am really impressed with these and am looking forward to using the. Here’s hoping for a bumper chilli crop this year.
This is a handy set of trays with everything you need to get seedlings started. I like that the seedling trays are clear, so you can see easily when the roots are big enough for replanting.
The plastic feels reasonable – it’s thicker than some others I have seen, but I doubt it will last more than one season.
I noticed there are no recycling codes on the plastic. I found this quite disappointing as I like to know what type of plastic my seedling trays are made from, so I can avoid the plastics that aren’t food safe. As I don’t know what these are made from I’m hesitant to use them for vegetable/salad plants, so I wouldn’t repurchase.
I’ve bought potting seed cells before and they’ve always been a bit cheap, nasty and fall apart after a couple of seasons. These on the other hand are really well built this since we made out of a much thicker plastic. I was actually quite surprised when the box arrived as to how heavy it was.
Delets are nice and tall which is really quite useful. I found with other products previously that I feel like to take the lid off early and then that lets a lot of the cold air in and the germination rate slows down just because a few of my seedings have already germinated. However, in this case you can grow them on a lot longer with the lid still on. So I feel like you get much stronger growth before you have to take the lid off.
This is a pack of 10 plastic trays, each with a 12 cell insert and a clear plastic cover. In the kit you will also find some labels and a couple of natty little tools. The propagators are easy to put together, just snap the ventilator button in place and assemble. They have a slightly more robust feel to them, so I’m hoping that they’ll last more than one season. The size is compact enough to easily sit on a window sill, or one of those heated propagator mats.
Each of the cells has a drainage hole at the bottom and the trays have a solid base, so when you water them, the liquid is contained. The lids are high enough to mean the seedlings can get to a reasonable height before you need to take the lid off. This should give them time to grow a decent root system before exposing them to the world.
All in all I’m pleased with this kit and can see that it’s going to be very useful in the spring when I start my seeds.
These trays are really good quality and with the extra height on the lids make them a little more versatile. With 10 of each part I.e.: base tray, 3×4 seed trays and extra high lids. The lids each have a closable vent to help with the moisture level within. Along with the trays you also receive a couple of tools to help sow your seeds and 20 plastic tags for labels. I have now found a few sets of similar price but also some that are much more expensive. These seem to be very well made of thick plastic which should last quite some time but, being made of PET plastic I am happy to say they are fully recyclable should you manage to break them.
